A Tribute to Dennis Prager's Moral Leadership

Charlie Kirk opened his remarks at a PragerU event with a profound tribute to Dennis Prager, describing him as "without a doubt one of the most important moral teachers in American history." Kirk shared his personal experience of listening to Prager's comprehensive Torah teachings, a 25-year project where Prager taught every single verse of the Torah at Hebrew University in Los Angeles on weeknights.

Kirk revealed a remarkable detail about Prager's work ethic: when writing the Rational Bible series, Prager didn't even relisten to his decades of Torah teachings. He simply rewrote the material from scratch, demonstrating an extraordinary depth of knowledge and commitment to his singular mission of bringing the Ten Commandments to the world.

Evidence of a Spiritual Awakening

Kirk shared encouraging statistics pointing to a spiritual revival in America. Bible sales have increased nearly 25% in recent months, and church attendance is rising across the nation. He attributed these developments to a broader cultural shift and the educational work organizations like PragerU have done over the past decade.

"There is a spiritual awakening happening in this nation," Kirk declared, connecting this renewal to what he described as divine intervention in recent national events.

The Impact of PragerU on Young Americans

Speaking at the PragerU event, Kirk emphasized the organization's crucial role in shaping the minds of young people. He credited PragerU's decade of work and billions of views with creating the conditions for recent cultural and political victories.

"What you saw on November 5th was a byproduct of PragerU doing the work for the last decade to get young people to think correctly about America," Kirk explained. He stressed that such victories don't happen overnight but are the result of years of consistent effort and educational outreach.

Kirk encouraged attendees to support PragerU generously, calling it "one of the most important organizations" and noting its measurable impact on college campuses across the country.

A Prayer for Healing and Restoration

Kirk concluded by leading the gathering in prayer for Dennis Prager's healing, quoting two of Prager's favorite biblical verses. He opened with Micah 6:8: "He has told you, oh man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?"

Kirk noted that Prager has always been more interested in what God asks of humanity than what people ask of God, but made an exception to request divine healing. "We ask you to heal Dennis. We ask of you humbly to bring back our friend to the front lines, to restore him, to give his voice back because we need him and we do not believe his work is done," Kirk prayed.

He also referenced Psalm 97:10, another of Prager's favorite verses: "Let those of you who love the Lord hate evil." Kirk connected this to recent national events, describing them as moments when divine intervention rebuked evil and provided what he called "a second new birth of freedom."

The prayer encompassed requests for the nation, for President Trump, and for Americans to meet the moment they've been given, expressing gratitude for what Kirk described as victories the nation "did not deserve and did not earn."
