Charlie Kirk on Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy Leading the Department of Government Efficiency to Dismantle Federal Waste
Charlie Kirk celebrates the appointment of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), calling it a historic step toward restoring the founders' vision for limited government. The agency represents a first in American governance: a federal program designed to eliminate itself by exposing waste, cutting costs, and bringing transparency to government spending. Kirk addresses criticism from Elizabeth Warren and argues that this unified team of appointees represents an unprecedented mandate from the American people to reclaim Washington, D.C. from bureaucratic bloat and corruption.
The Creation of DOGE: A Government Agency Built to Self-Destruct
Elon Musk has been appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, to run the first government agency with a self-destruct button. The agency exists to eliminate itself. Musk and Ramaswamy will have full audit authority of the federal government to find waste, identify duplication of costs, eliminate inefficiencies, and expose to the American people how the government has been wasting taxpayer money.
This development represents something truly exciting—it takes individuals like Elon and Vivek who have the public's trust and massive platforms to show the waste, publicize it, and then cut it. Transparency is the agenda that Trump fought for.
Senate Resistance and the Fight for Transparency
The Senate does not believe in transparency. The Senate believes in secret ballots and black box budgeting. If anybody opposes the Department of Government Efficiency, like Elizabeth Warren does, they are running a scam.
Elizabeth Warren has been very active on social media, criticizing various appointments and now targeting DOGE itself. She questioned Pete Hegseth's qualifications, asking if he can serve because he's a Fox and Friends host. The response is simple: has Elizabeth Warren served in the military? The answer is no.
Warren also mocked the office of government efficiency, saying it's off to a great start with split leadership—two people to do the work of one person, questioning if this seems efficient. At some point, Elizabeth Warren should stay out of this one. The concept of co-chairs exists throughout government and business. By her logic, why do we have a senator from Massachusetts when we could just have one senator do the job to represent Massachusetts? Why not just have that old crow Markey represent Massachusetts?
A Historic Promise Kept
The Department of Government Efficiency is one of the most exciting developments and represents a promise made, promise kept by President Donald Trump. He said he was going to empower Elon and empower Vivek. He said he was going to deploy them to the front lines. He said he was going to give them the authority and capacity to find costs and cut costs.
The creation of DOGE will be the first federal program whose goal is to eliminate itself. It exists to shrink government, not grow it. This is a historic step back to the founders' vision for America, back to the original intent and the original structure that Madison, Hamilton, and Jay intended.
The Avenger Force Reclaiming Washington
The Senate is not going to like a lot of this, but too bad—the people are in charge. We are liberating the consciousness, awareness, and visibility of our government to lead a citizen reclamation of what was once ours. Donald Trump was the tip of the spear, and Elon and Vivek are following right after.
Then we have additional key appointments:
Governor Kristi Noem at DHS
Lee Zeldin at EPA
Elise Stefanik at the UN ambassadorship
Tom Homan doing the border as Border Czar
This is a team that is going to swarm DC. Not every battle will be won. Some of these appointees are going to have opposition research dropped on them, and there will be a war of attrition. Not everyone who storms the beaches of DC is going to last six months or a year—you just have to get ready for that. Then it's next man up.
But there has never been a commanding presence of a unified force to reclaim DC in American history like this, with a mandate clearly given from the American people. Couple that with Twitter being liberated, and things are changing. We are witnessing American history, and every day is getting better, one day after the other.
