Charlie Kirk Warns Christians Against Kamala Harris in Powerful Albuquerque Church Discussion on Faith and Politics

September 30, 2025

Charlie Kirk delivers a direct message to Christians in Albuquerque, New Mexico about the stakes of the upcoming election. Speaking at a local church, Kirk addresses the spiritual battle facing America, the coordinated replacement of Joe Biden with Kamala Harris, and why Christians must view voting as a worldview decision rather than a personality contest. Kirk confronts the media propaganda surrounding Harris, discusses the miracle that spared Donald Trump's life in Butler, Pennsylvania, and challenges believers to fight for their state and nation through political engagement rooted in biblical obedience.

A Church Under Siege Welcomes a Fighter

Charlie Kirk received a standing welcome at a church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, introduced as the founder and president of Turning Point USA who has become a leading political voice while proudly proclaiming his Christian faith. Pastor Steve Smothermon, who hosted Kirk, praised him for standing up for America and the church of the Lord Jesus Christ during difficult times, particularly during the COVID era when few churches would host such events.

Kirk returned the compliment, calling Smotherman a great man who invited him to speak during COVID when most churches went to livestream—which Kirk compared to watching a fireplace on YouTube: "You get all the effects but no warmth." Kirk praised Smotherman for receiving five orders of arrest from the governor and telling her to come arrest him, calling him exactly the type of pastor America needs. "If we had a thousand Steve Smothermon's in this country, this country would be saved," Kirk declared.

The Deep State Coup Against Biden

Kirk detailed what he described as a coordinated coup against Joe Biden orchestrated by the deep state and Barack Obama, who Kirk identified as actually being in charge of the country. "This is Obama's third term that we're living through," Kirk stated emphatically. He explained how the unprecedented early debate in late June was designed to remove Biden and replace him with Kamala Harris.

Kirk described watching the debate and thinking Biden's performance was actually pretty good for him compared to usual—"Joe Biden versus the stairs doesn't always go well"—but the media reaction was immediate and coordinated. "CNN immediately they're like, 'We're already hearing some calls from top Democrats that we need to remove Joe Biden,'" Kirk recalled. "And I said, 'The fix is in.'"

The timing was precise, Kirk noted: exactly one month after the debate, on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump was shot and "was supposed to be dead." Kirk credited only the grace of God for Trump being alive. Within 12 hours of Biden's withdrawal, Kamala Harris went from the most unlikable politician to "Obama 3.0, drawing crowds like we've never seen before."

America is Being Gaslit

Kirk introduced the concept of gaslighting using the old British play "Gaslight," where a husband slowly dims the lights in their apartment while telling his wife she's losing her mind when she notices. "That's exactly what's going on right now, where they're telling you Kamala Harris is popular and like no, no, no, she can't do a press conference, can't take questions. You hated her three weeks ago and now all of a sudden she's the greatest thing ever," Kirk explained.

He argued this reveals two things: how sheeplike the Democrat base is, doing what they're told without independent thought, and more importantly, that COVID was a dress rehearsal for the Kamala propaganda campaign. "What if the COVID propaganda was a dress rehearsal for the Kamala propaganda?" Kirk asked. "I saw lots of people driving cars alone with masks on during COVID. People showered with masks on. I met somebody that got their ninth booster shot."

Kirk learned during COVID how powerful brute aggressive propaganda can be, and he sees the exact same techniques being used now: Harris will not take questions, the campaign is hyper ferocious and intimidating toward anyone who stands up to her, and the media is completely in the bag for her.

Kamala Harris is a Communist

Kirk declared Harris not just unlikable but "a communist at her core," and provided evidence. Her constant phrase about being "unburdened by what has been" is pure Marxist propaganda, Kirk argued. "The past means nothing. What has happened means nothing. So your statues, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, the Bible, Jesus Christ, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, unburdened by what has been."

Kirk compared this to Mao Tse-tung's Great Leap Forward, Castro's "el novo hombre" (the new man) in Cuba, and the French Revolution's Year Zero—all attempts to eradicate human history prior and start fresh. "That is just touching the surface on it," Kirk said, before making his boldest statement: "I'm not saying that you have to vote for Trump if you're a Christian. I think you should. I will be as bold to say this: If you are a Christian who votes for Kamala Harris, that is a desecration to the Lord."

Pastor Smotherman agreed, calling what Harris is saying demonic and satanic. He stated clearly: "There's no such thing as a Christian liberal Democrat. You're either a Christian or you're not. Liberal means that you don't believe the Bible."

Voting is a Chess Move, Not a Valentine

Addressing Christians who struggle with Trump's moral failures, Kirk explained: "When you vote, you are not appointing someone to your church elder board, and your vote is not a Valentine of who best fits your personal feelings. A vote is a chess move of which worldview better fits with your worldview that will keep your grandkids in a country that is free."

Kirk emphasized that while everyone sees Trump's faults and shortcomings, they must also see his virtues: wanting a strong border, standing with Israel, standing with the unborn, appointing strong Supreme Court justices. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is the border czar responsible for human trafficking, sex trade, and 88,000 missing children. "Next time your Democrat friend says you're voting Democrat, say you know there's 88,000 missing kids under the Harris regime and no one's doing anything about it. Where are those kids? Child prostitutes, labor, sex slaves, child pornography."

On abortion, Kirk noted that New Mexico is one of the late term abortion capitals of America and believes there is spiritual darkness in the state because of it. Harris wants every state to be like New Mexico with post-birth abortion. Her running mate Tim Walz has said 10-year-olds can choose their gender and put tampons in boys' bathrooms in Minnesota. Harris wrote a special letter to Dylan Mulvaney congratulating him but never mentioned the names of the 13 Afghan veterans who died at the Afghan withdrawal.

The Worldview Contrast

Kirk laid out the stark worldview differences: Trump views America as a great and decent country that should be brought to prosperity and strength; Harris views America as a stain on the world that must be destroyed. Trump views every human life as made in the image of God deserving of protection; Harris thinks you're just a clump of cells that can be eliminated. Trump believes in Supreme Court justices who understand the Constitution; Harris believes in justices who can't tell you what a woman is.

Trump believes in protecting the Second Amendment; Harris believes only the government should own weapons. Trump believes the church will never be called non-essential again; Harris as California Attorney General wanted to get rid of Christian charities, pregnancy crisis centers, and pro-life groups. Trump believes in less war with enemies fearing America; Harris wants more war and to cozy up to enemies. Trump will fight child sex trafficking; Harris has done nothing about 88,000 missing children from the border.

"Donald Trump's worldview is one of there is a God and he is not him. Kamala Harris's worldview is if there was a God it would be me," Kirk summarized. "The worldview long outlives the personality. The worldview is what impacts your grandkids."

The Miracle in Butler, Pennsylvania

Kirk described the assassination attempt on Trump as a window into who he actually is. "Donald Trump gets shot and he stands up and he says fight," Kirk recalled. He noted that leaders are so disconnected from combat that you really don't know who's a coward and who isn't—they all talk tough but you don't really know. "In that 10-second moment, you saw a window into who he actually is."

Kirk pointed out that the audience didn't panic because they saw a strong man with cool under fire. "When the leader doesn't panic and the leader tells his followers it's going to be okay," people respond accordingly. Trump wanted to finish the speech but they didn't let him. Kirk argued that if any other political leader had been shot, it would still be the number one news story a month later with documentaries and movies. "The way they have memory holed that event is creepy."

The moment was powerful because all propaganda was put aside—it was just one picture of the man people are supposed to hate showing incredible strength. Kirk noted the absurdity of people later calling Trump a coward for not debating Harris: "Unlike Tim Walz, Donald Trump was actually shot."

Kirk believes if Trump had not moved his head at that exact millisecond to look at a chart that was on his right instead of his left where it was supposed to be, the bullet would have gone into the back of his brain and he would have died. "For those of us that believe in the Lord, we know that is providence and that is his hand on this nation." Kirk added that if God was done with America, He would have allowed Trump to get shot on July 13th, but the miracle that saved his life means there can be a miracle to restructure the entire government.

New Mexico Can Be Saved

Despite New Mexico being written off as a lost cause, Kirk saw something different in the church audience. "There is fight left in this state," he declared. He encouraged the crowd not to give up, explaining that Democrats flipped Colorado and other red states by being relentless—they lost, organized again, lost, and organized again.

Kirk suggested practical steps: if the church picked three state representative races and everyone got behind those candidates, they could win and break the super majority. "You want to get the governor's attention, have her lose her majority in the House and Senate." He acknowledged this is difficult but emphasized that Democrats and pagans care more about politics than Christians do, which is a sad reality.

"You are obligated by God. Jeremiah 29:7, 'Demand the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to your nation's welfare.' God is commanding you to not give up and to not surrender," Kirk stated. Even if unsuccessful, Christians would still be obedient and doing the right thing before God, which is most important.

The Spiritual Battle and Egypt Versus Freedom

Kirk drew parallels to the Exodus story, noting how God's chosen people saw amazing miracles—quail blown off course, manna from heaven—yet in the desert complained and wanted to go back to Egypt. "Why? Because the food was better," Kirk explained. They wanted leeks, melons, cucumbers, and meat instead of manna and quail.

This battle against the flesh is at the core of American politics today, Kirk argued. "Our flesh does not want to be free. It is only through Christ Jesus and the inheritance of a Christian civilization that we even understand the concept of liberty. You cannot be free in a non-Christian society. No church, no liberty. No Jesus, no liberty."

Kamala Harris is like Pharaoh telling people to come back to Egypt where she'll give them meat—free checks from the government, someone else taking care of their kids, the ability to do drugs all day. Trump's message is tougher: "I'll give you your country back but you still have to wake up early and go to work." Harris offers slavery with everything provided; Trump offers freedom in the desert where people can flourish but it won't always be easy.

Kirk illustrated this with a story about a Democrat student who wanted free lodging, meals, and Wi-Fi provided by society. Kirk told him: "Why don't you go down to the 7-Eleven with a handgun, fire a couple shots at the ceiling, and you can have all that. You have that free of charge. Three meals a day, Wi-Fi, lodging, interesting new friends." But you're not free—you're a prisoner. The election will decide whether America goes back to Egypt or lives in liberty.

Questions From the Audience

Kirk took numerous questions from the audience, demonstrating his ability to connect with people of all ages. A 10-year-old girl named Bella asked what he would tell himself at her age. Kirk advised: "Follow God in all that you do. Always put God first. When you get older, there will be decision points where you will know that something is wrong and your flesh will want to do it anyway. At those moments is where your character kicks in."

A woman married to a Democrat asked for advice. Kirk's response was humorous: "Have great humor about it. Don't become an angry conservative. Humor is how you take down a regime. Mock them. Make fun of them. Humiliate them." He encouraged her to constantly pepper them with questions like "How's Kamala doing? Did she put two sentences together today?"

One man asked who is really controlling events globally—not just the puppets like Biden and Obama, but the real power behind figures like the Rothschilds, Soros, and Klaus Schwab. Kirk identified George Soros as "the closest thing to evil on earth that any of us will encounter," who under the guise of diversity has said all Western borders must be opened, leading to cultural destruction. He also named American billionaire oligarchs, the World Economic Forum, and shadow operators like Victoria Nuland, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, John Podesta, and John Kerry.

Kirk explained that Obama has graduated from puppet to puppeteer after eight years, becoming a dedicated believer in the cause. "What they are trying to do is reconstitute the Tower of Babel of what happened in Genesis 11. God hates this idea of one world government. God is a God of sovereignty, of nations, of borders."

The Olympic Opening Ceremony and Rising Paganism

Addressing the shameful Olympics opening ceremony, Kirk explained what really happened: "Atheism has won in France. They are the least religious country in Europe." But it's not enough that they've won—they need to rub it in Christians' faces. "You do not replace Christianity with atheism. You replace Christianity with paganism."

Paganism existed before the God of the Bible, Kirk explained. The scriptures were written in a time of polytheism, child sacrifice, and widespread sexual debauchery. "We are now entering and reintroducing the old gods of paganism." He noted that New Mexico is ahead of the curve when it comes to paganism with earth worship, incantations, and crystals. While respecting Native Americans, Kirk criticized "Native American woowoo stuff" because "worshiping the earth is bad. It's pagan. The God of the Bible says only I am worthy of worship. Not the river, not the sea, not the rocks."

The Christian response should be clear, Kirk argued: there must be a price for insulting and defacing the Lord and Savior. Christians will not purchase products, watch television channels, or associate with entities that come after Christianity. "Right now, there is no price because we are a bunch of wusses." Christians must also build new things—their own schools, homeschool their kids, and be entrepreneurs. The opening ceremony was a mockery reminding everyone that the West is now pagan, in a post-Christian era.

Standing Up in Schools and Society

Two 14-year-old twin brothers, Julian and Anthony, asked about teachers manipulating students, not allowing them to talk about Christ while allowing LGBTQ content. Their military family was moving to Arizona. Kirk first praised their parents for raising great sons, then posed a fundamental question: "What matters more, glorifying God or getting good grades?"

If glorifying God is more important, then teachers have no right constitutionally, legally, or morally to shut students up from sharing the gospel or political views. However, Kirk acknowledged teachers do have the right to grade unfairly. If students are following proper procedure and not interrupting, Kirk advised them to stand firm: "You should be strong and courageous and say write me up or you will face a lawsuit because I am allowed to speak my mind as a citizen of this country."

Kirk emphasized that the younger people are able to stand up to liberal bullies, the better they'll be at it. He contrasted this with conservative teachers, who never threaten to downgrade students for disagreeing. "We welcome that disagreement. Tell me about how great socialism has worked. Tell me about how men can give birth. I love it when liberals disagree with me publicly because then people can see the contrast of ideas. This is how I know we are going to win. We have the truth on our side and they have bullying on their side."

A 12-year-old girl named Michaela asked how to respond nicely to people who identify as different genders since she's Christian and doesn't want to be rude. Kirk's response was compassionate but firm: "First of all, 12-year-olds should not have to deal with these topics and issues. This is ridiculous." He advised her to love them like Christ would but not use pronouns that aren't their pronouns, while acknowledging it's tough at that age.

Kirk emphasized this is a failure of adults allowing things to go wildly out of control. He explained that just because someone thinks they are something doesn't make them that thing. "Your chromosomes are what you are. XX or XY." He referenced the Olympic boxing match where an XY chromosome person beat up an Italian woman as disgusting. "They have tricked us to believe that if somebody thinks they are something, they become that thing. That is the definition of the rejection of reality."

What Fight Actually Means

When asked what Trump's call to "fight" actually means when everything seems controlled by the left, Kirk gave a comprehensive answer. The fight first means understanding the mission: if patriots are not successful on November 5th, America enters a very dark chapter. But Kirk sees hope in the miracle of July 13th: "If God was done with America, he would have allowed Donald Trump to get shot. If there is a miracle that could save his life, there's a miracle that can then restructure our entire government."

If Trump wins, Kirk promised to declassify JFK files and have a real citizen-led movement to recapture the government from criminals and gangsters currently controlling it. But those in power want people to give up because they can't stand thousands gathering in Albuquerque with intent, enthusiasm, and energy.

Kirk defined what fight looks like practically: "Get married and have kids. Go to church every week. Obey the ten commandments. Stop watching pornography. Stop doing drugs and excessively drinking. Care for your parents even if they might be a little annoying because you must honor your mother and father so they may live long in the land of which you are in."

Fight means fighting the culture and the system. It means showing up at Santa Fe even when outnumbered to fight for the unborn and for children. Even when you might not win, you do the right thing because God is a God of miracles. "We saw a miracle happen and our response should be, 'Wow, I'm going to keep on acting and fighting obediently.'"

A Call to Stand

Kirk closed by emphasizing this is the most important civilizational struggle of our lifetime. Dark spirits are hard at work because they know if the people get their way in November and Trump becomes president, the country will not fall and can be saved. There is a mass spiritual blindness over the country that requires prayer for God to break the cloud and veil so people can see clearly.

Kirk encouraged everyone to become their own media, subscribing to podcasts and following trusted social media influencers instead of cable television. The mainstream media is dying and death-gripping onto Kamala Harris because they know a Trump win will be an extinction event for modern American media. Kirk is cheering for that every day.

The room of thousands in Albuquerque demonstrated that fight remains in New Mexico. With pastors like Steve Smothermon leading, with families raising courageous young people, with citizens refusing to surrender, Kirk believes the state can wake up. It will require being a daily nuisance to Democrat authority, showing up at hearings, organizing around key races, and never giving up. Democrats flipped states by being relentless, and patriots must do the same. God commands His people to demand the welfare of the nation they're in because their welfare is tied to it. Even when unsuccessful, obedience to God matters most.
