[00:00] To call what happened to Charlie Kirk on
[00:01] September 10th a security failure would
[00:04] be the understatement of the century.
[00:06] Everyone who has been following the
[00:07] story has scrutinized what happened that
[00:09] day and one of the most obvious
[00:11] questions is why was the campus not
[00:13] properly secured and was Charlie
[00:16] betrayed by the people around him whom
[00:18] he trusted. Brian Harpool, the head of
[00:19] the security company that was
[00:21] responsible for Charlie Kirk's safety
[00:22] that day, is not oblivious to the cloud
[00:24] of suspicion that has fallen upon him.
[00:27] And so he did an almost 3-hour interview
[00:29] to give his side of the story. And I
[00:32] watched this interview in its entirety
[00:34] and I spotted some lies.
[00:37] Hello everyone. If you're a new viewer,
[00:39] welcome. If you are a returning viewer,
[00:40] welcome back. If this is your second,
[00:42] third, or fourth time watching one of my
[00:44] videos and you are not yet subscribed,
[00:45] we already go together. Okay, make it
[00:47] official and hit that subscribe button.
[00:50] Today's video is sponsored by me. I'm
[00:52] wearing one of the shirts from my merch
[00:53] line, the pardon my skepticism shirt.
[00:55] I'm wearing a size small. All of my
[00:57] shirts come in both men's and women's
[00:59] sizes. And I have other designs like
[01:01] this blessed sweater, this Bregette
[01:03] Macron t-shirt, as well as this retro
[01:05] revival shirt, which is very popular. I
[01:07] have stickers, bags, phone cases, and
[01:09] more. So, be sure to check out my merch.
[01:11] The link for my merch will be in the
[01:12] description box down below. It is one of
[01:14] the ways that you can support my
[01:16] channel, and another way that you can
[01:17] support my channel is by liking this
[01:19] video so that the algorithm knows that
[01:21] people are enjoying it. Speaking of
[01:23] which, let's get into today's video. I
[01:25] watched this interview and Brian
[01:27] Harpool, in my opinion, is very
[01:29] unlikable. The entire interview was not
[01:31] to put the truth out there for the
[01:33] public. It was self-preservation
[01:35] and it was to
[01:36] >> to save our asses.
[01:37] >> Do you guys remember a show from the
[01:39] '90s called Daria? In the opening
[01:41] credits, Daria is playing volleyball and
[01:43] the ball goes right past her and after
[01:45] the ball passes her, she then puts her
[01:47] hand up to make it seem like she was
[01:49] actually trying. That is the best
[01:51] analogy that I can give for this
[01:53] interview. What else am I to do?
[01:56] >> This guy is a former police officer and
[01:58] is the biggest coward that has ever sat
[02:01] across from Shawn Ryan. Not one time did
[02:04] he take any accountability for the
[02:06] failures of his security detail. But not
[02:09] only that, this interview is full of
[02:12] inconsistencies,
[02:13] discrepancies,
[02:15] lies,
[02:16] >> a A
[02:18] >> and that I think I noticed like six
[02:20] things that he said in this video that
[02:22] weren't true. And there probably was
[02:23] more things he said that weren't true
[02:25] and I'm sure you guys can let me know
[02:26] about that in the comment section down
[02:28] below. So, let's begin with number one.
[02:30] Now, number one is a huge discrepancy
[02:32] that I noticed in the narrative that he
[02:35] was trying to paint with Shawn Ryan.
[02:37] Brian Harpool said that on August 24th,
[02:41] they began preparing their security
[02:43] plan.
[02:43] >> How many days prior were you guys there?
[02:45] >> Um, the 24th of the month prior. And so
[02:49] um and that was with the the hard
[02:51] conversations meetings.
[02:53] >> You started that on the 24th.
[02:55] >> Mhm.
[02:56] >> Right. It it and we do
[02:58] >> two weeks at least. No. Well, it it
[03:01] started before that with the the
[03:03] intelligence gathering and and all that,
[03:05] but
[03:06] >> the hard conversations, the sharing of
[03:09] information, the conference calls, uh
[03:12] the the data sheets. Um, and and we put
[03:15] that in a timeline uh on on a on a on on
[03:18] an app so that this all goes up and
[03:21] every guy that's on that job uh can see
[03:24] all the intel that comes in. It's a
[03:26] decentralized command model for the
[03:28] company. And so anybody can make command
[03:31] decisions for the betterment of the
[03:33] client or the team. And so everything
[03:35] goes on that app. Um we're walking
[03:37] through, you know, everything that you
[03:40] need for a detail. um the site plan, uh
[03:44] point of contacts, uh emergency, uh uh
[03:48] fallback locations, hard rooms, uh
[03:51] arrival points, hospital, you name it.
[03:54] >> So, the security plan was first laid
[03:57] out, according to Brian, 2 weeks before
[04:00] the event. And coincidentally, a student
[04:02] told the FBI that two weeks before the
[04:04] TPUSA event, he and a professor saw a
[04:07] man with a backpack on the roof of the
[04:08] Losi Center building where the would
[04:10] then go on to take their shot 2 weeks
[04:12] later. But that's just a side note.
[04:13] Based on Brian's statement, you would
[04:16] think that this was a wellorganized
[04:18] security company that crossed all their
[04:20] tees, dotted all their eyes, and they
[04:22] did everything that they could to ensure
[04:24] Charlie Kirk security at that event.
[04:27] Well, later in the interview, he shows
[04:30] this text exchange between his company
[04:32] and Jeff Long. Now, for context, the
[04:35] University of Utah has their own campus
[04:37] police and Jeff Long is the head of the
[04:40] campus police department. So, Brian
[04:42] Harpool's company was texting with Jeff
[04:44] Long, the head of the campus police, and
[04:47] they were discussing the rooftops. And
[04:50] this text exchange that he presented in
[04:52] the interview didn't happen until less
[04:56] than 48 hours before Charlie Kirk's
[04:58] event. If you started planning this
[05:00] event 2 weeks in advance, why are the
[05:03] rooftops being discussed under such
[05:05] short notice? And quite honestly, these
[05:08] text messages seem just as contrived as
[05:10] the ones that Tyler Robinson sent Lance
[05:13] Twigs. Remember the texts where he's
[05:15] telling Lance, "I planned to take this
[05:17] to my grave. I was never going to tell
[05:19] you. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever. I
[05:22] was going to die with the secret. But
[05:25] also, I wrote a letter confessing to it
[05:28] and it's underneath the keyboard. So, if
[05:29] you don't mind, will you just go check
[05:31] it out? I was never going to tell you,
[05:33] but I had pre-written a letter and I put
[05:35] it under the keyboard for you to read.
[05:37] >> It just makes noing sense. I mean, it's
[05:39] just
[05:40] >> No one's buying that text exchange. That
[05:42] text exchange was a
[05:44] >> save our asses
[05:45] >> type of text exchange. And so is this
[05:47] one between Brian Harple's company and
[05:49] Jeff Long. Let's dissect this text
[05:52] exchange together, shall we? Hello,
[05:55] Chief Long. We received this message
[05:56] today from the student group FYSA. There
[05:59] is student roof access pretty close to
[06:01] where CK will be set up at Utah Valley.
[06:04] The Sorenson Student Center has a couple
[06:06] staircases that go up to the walkways on
[06:08] the roof. That was my Brian Harpool
[06:10] impression in case you couldn't tell.
[06:12] But do you guys see the problem with
[06:14] that text? It is a communication with no
[06:18] actionable details. It doesn't say, "We
[06:20] were made aware of the roof and we
[06:22] needed to be blocked off. We were made
[06:23] aware of their roof and we needed to be
[06:25] secured." It just says, "Someone told us
[06:27] about the roof." So Jeff Long responds,
[06:30] "You want access to the roof?" Then
[06:31] Brian Harpool responds, "I was told
[06:34] students have access above us." If this
[06:36] is true, it would be nice to either have
[06:39] it controlled access or allow one of my
[06:42] guys to be there as well if possible. It
[06:44] would be nice if possible. You sound
[06:47] like a little girl asking for ice cream.
[06:50] Imagine spending hundreds of thousands
[06:52] of dollars on security and that's the
[06:55] amount of effort they put into
[06:57] protecting you. So Jeff Long responds by
[06:59] saying, "I got you covered." And Brian
[07:01] Harpool's side responds by saying,
[07:03] "Thank you, sir." So there's no
[07:06] followup, no further questions about the
[07:08] roof or the security plan. How many
[07:10] people are you going to put up there?
[07:12] Are you going to use a drone? Are you
[07:13] going to tape it off? coffee and it
[07:14] closed. No further follow-up questions.
[07:18] This text exchange took place over the
[07:20] course of 4 hours. And in my opinion,
[07:24] this looks like someone who's trying to
[07:26] create an alibi to say, "Well, look, I
[07:28] addressed the roof issue with UVU, so
[07:31] anything else that happens falls on
[07:33] their shoulders. Let me just push the
[07:35] buck on to you, so if something happens,
[07:37] I can blame you for it." It's
[07:39] suspicious. Another lie that Brian told
[07:41] during the interview also has to do with
[07:43] the rooftops. Repeatedly in the
[07:45] interview, he keeps stressing to Shawn
[07:47] Ryan that the rooftops were the
[07:50] responsibility of UVU. And had they done
[07:52] their job, this wouldn't have happened.
[07:54] And Brian uses this text exchange to
[07:56] show proof that the roofs were the
[07:58] responsibility of UVU.
[08:00] >> And his last correspondence was, "I got
[08:03] you covered.
[08:10] What else am I to do
[08:12] when a command level
[08:15] uh person from an accredited police
[08:18] department says, "I've got this area."
[08:20] >> And the rooftops were supposed to be
[08:21] covered from the police drones.
[08:23] >> PD said, "I got you covered.
[08:25] >> I've got you covered."
[08:26] >> Mhm.
[08:28] >> And so that zone was dropped.
[08:30] >> Yes.
[08:32] >> That's not true.
[08:33] >> If you look at the footage from that
[08:35] day, the roof behind Charlie was
[08:38] secured. There was caution tape and
[08:40] there was an officer up there, but only
[08:43] one roof was discussed in this text
[08:45] exchange and it was the one that was
[08:47] closest to Charlie. Jeff Long said in
[08:49] the text exchange, "I got you covered."
[08:51] And that's exactly what he did. The
[08:53] problem isn't that Jeff Long didn't keep
[08:55] his word. The problem is that Brian
[08:57] Harpool was not thorough in his
[09:00] so-called security plan. Another, let's
[09:02] call it, inconsistency that was said
[09:04] during this interview has to do with the
[09:07] use of drones.
[09:08] >> I spent thousands of dollars on drones
[09:10] last year and 10 and got the guy's
[09:13] license. But if the area lies in the
[09:16] Provo, Utah airspace,
[09:19] I can't fly it. That's a 107B, the guy,
[09:23] we can't break the rules, right? And
[09:25] then you had secondary restrictions
[09:27] probably due to heavy foot traffic for
[09:28] the school. But I I can't go in and
[09:30] break the rules. There's laws for a
[09:33] reason.
[09:33] >> Brian said he didn't deploy drones
[09:35] because he was not allowed to do so on
[09:39] the UVU campus.
[09:41] >> That's not true.
[09:42] >> On the UVU website, the policies and
[09:44] procedures manual lays out the rules and
[09:47] it says that if someone wants to use a
[09:49] drone on campus, they can submit a
[09:51] request to get authorization. So, they
[09:53] absolutely were allowed to use drones
[09:55] and since they had started their
[09:57] security plan 2 weeks in advance, why
[09:59] the didn't they submit a request? In the
[10:01] interview, he repeatedly says that they
[10:03] were forbidden from flying a drone. He
[10:06] says the campus police should have had
[10:08] one. And if only he had had one,
[10:11] >> I'd have flown that drone up his ass if
[10:12] we could have had one.
[10:13] >> Just so you know, I mentioned this in a
[10:15] previous video, but I'm going to mention
[10:16] it again here. Frank Turk, the pastor
[10:19] and friend to Charlie Kirk who was there
[10:21] that day, has said more than once that
[10:23] they did have a drone that day and they
[10:25] flew it.
[10:26] >> And as we were driving in, Charlie got
[10:28] some video footage from drones above.
[10:31] This is an hour before it was supposed
[10:32] to start and there were thousands of
[10:34] people there.
[10:35] >> So later on in the interview, Brian
[10:37] Harpool then goes on to say that the
[10:39] campus allows mini drones. It's not
[10:42] uncommon for the a video team to throw a
[10:46] drone up and then take a quick shot and
[10:49] we've had that before. Now, their drones
[10:51] are different because they use those
[10:53] little bitty ones and so they're not
[10:55] covered under the requirements.
[10:57] >> Okay, so if the campus allowed mini
[10:59] drones, why didn't you just use mini
[11:01] drones? Another inconsistency told by
[11:04] Brian Harpool was this. If if you're
[11:07] somewhere and you're covered from an
[11:08] elevated position from 180 degrees, it's
[11:12] horrible.
[11:13] >> And and that's where we were. But that's
[11:16] come out. Why Why would they have it
[11:18] there? This is ignorance. You know, it's
[11:19] a security fail. And I'm like, well,
[11:21] one, that's where they told us we had to
[11:23] have it.
[11:25] We We weren't optioned out anywhere
[11:27] else. There's a permit you have to get.
[11:29] And the school says, "Nope, this is
[11:30] where you have to have it."
[11:32] >> We don't get to argue with them, you
[11:34] know. We don't get to say no, but that's
[11:37] it. This is where you put.
[11:39] >> So Brian Harpool sits there and looks
[11:42] Shawn Ryan in the eyes and lies to his
[11:44] face. He says that UVU told them that
[11:47] they had to host the event outside.
[11:49] Well, that's not what UVU said. The day
[11:51] after Charlie's passing, the Salt Lake
[11:54] Tribune published this article which
[11:56] states, quote, UVU spokesperson Ellen
[11:58] Tror had relayed that Kirk wanted to be
[12:01] in an outdoor central location on
[12:04] campus. so he could engage with students
[12:06] walking by, including those on their way
[12:08] to class or the food court. They put the
[12:11] request in for that specific area. They
[12:14] really wanted it to be in the open
[12:16] courtyard. And this matches what a
[12:18] source told Candace Owens in early
[12:20] August. Within two weeks, they had boots
[12:22] on the ground and they were scouting for
[12:24] a location. And it gets worse. Okay. I
[12:27] learned that after UVU showed them
[12:32] multiple options inside and outside, UVU
[12:37] recommended to Turning Point that they
[12:40] not hold the event in the amphitheater
[12:43] because of safety re reasons. Not a good
[12:45] idea because we can't shut this area
[12:48] down. It's not a good idea because
[12:50] there's no control here. we cannot
[12:53] control the traffic, the flow of traffic
[12:55] coming in and out of this amphitheater.
[12:57] But Turning Point insisted that that was
[13:00] where they wanted to have the event. It
[13:02] was because Turning Point insisted that
[13:04] that event was then held outside. Now, I
[13:06] can tell you having done these events,
[13:08] that was the first thing among many that
[13:11] struck me as odd. So, those are two
[13:12] separate sources that I showed you that
[13:14] are contradicting Bride Harpool's
[13:17] version of events. The next
[13:18] inconsistency that was brought up in the
[13:20] interview is the amount of personal
[13:23] security that was there that day for
[13:24] Charlie Kirk. So UVU had their own
[13:27] security and Charlie Kirk had his own
[13:30] security. It was reported in the news
[13:32] that UVU had six officers and Charlie's
[13:34] own personal security had eight guards.
[13:37] However, Brian Harpool, of course, now
[13:40] says something different.
[13:41] >> I took 12 guys there. I I had double the
[13:44] amount of people there that the PD had.
[13:46] Actually, he said they had 13.
[13:48] >> And then we had actually a 13 there that
[13:50] came in the in the drive party.
[13:52] >> So, were there eight security guards as
[13:55] was initially reported the in the days
[13:57] after this event, or were there 13
[14:00] security guards like Brian Harpool is
[14:02] now saying 2 months later?
[14:03] >> You sit on a throne of lies.
[14:05] >> So, the next lie that he told in the
[14:07] interview has to do with the hospital
[14:09] that they brought Charlie Kirk to.
[14:11] According to Brian, in the weeks leading
[14:13] up to the events, they had already
[14:14] planned which hospital they would go to
[14:16] in the event of an emergency, and they
[14:19] picked out the closest one
[14:20] >> and and the the one that we went to um
[14:23] was the closest one, but it was a level
[14:25] three. Yeah, we knew that. Um the the
[14:28] next closest one was another 7 minutes
[14:29] away.
[14:30] >> That's not true.
[14:31] >> Members of the jury, I present to you
[14:33] exhibit A. As you can see, here is UVU.
[14:36] That's where they had the TPUSA event on
[14:38] September 10th. And right over here is
[14:41] the Tempanos hospital that they brought
[14:43] Charlie Kirk to after he was shot. And
[14:45] when you look at the map, you can see
[14:47] that to get to Tempenos, you literally
[14:49] have to drive past a whole other
[14:50] hospital. Why does this man lie so much?
[14:52] To
[14:52] >> save our asses.
[14:54] >> Another false statement that Brian made
[14:57] during the interview has to do with the
[14:59] EMS. So, after Charlie Kirk was hit, he
[15:02] goes down and they all rush and they
[15:04] pick him up and they bring him to the
[15:06] SUV. and he's explaining that the reason
[15:08] that they brought him to the SUV rather
[15:11] than allowing EMS to tend to Charlie is
[15:14] because there was no EMS.
[15:16] >> Uh first rule of emergency medicine when
[15:19] an EMT goes cuz I've done this. If you
[15:22] don't walk into the room when you're
[15:23] doing your skills portion and say, "Hey,
[15:25] is the scene safe?" They fail you and
[15:28] you're done.
[15:29] Right? And so those medics that were
[15:32] around that buggy were nowhere to be
[15:34] found. Why? cuz they're taking cover
[15:35] like everybody else.
[15:36] >> Mhm.
[15:37] >> Members of the jury, I present to you
[15:39] exhibit B. Here you can see that they
[15:41] are bringing Charlie to the SUV and oh
[15:44] look, an EMS is running after them
[15:46] trying to help them.
[15:47] >> Those medics that were around that buggy
[15:49] were nowhere to be found.
[15:51] >> So, as you can see, what he said isn't
[15:52] true. But there's also another moment.
[15:55] Now, this isn't a lie, but it's just
[15:57] something that he said that I didn't
[15:58] like, and I want to play it for you
[15:59] guys.
[16:00] >> So, um, we get in. Charlie was a big
[16:04] man. Long um we kind of laugh about it
[16:08] now, but um we get him in and uh but the
[16:12] door is not going to close.
[16:14] >> Where's the punch line? You know, I
[16:16] myself am not offended by dark humor,
[16:19] but I don't see
[16:21] where's the joke
[16:24] in that sentence, in that statement, in
[16:26] that situation. How do you how do you
[16:28] how do you laugh about that? What is
[16:29] funny about that? um we kind of laugh
[16:32] about it. Now,
[16:33] >> something else that he said that was
[16:34] very off-putting has to do with the
[16:36] autopsy. In the interview, he's talking
[16:38] about the moments when he first learned
[16:41] that Charlie Kirk didn't make it. And he
[16:45] says that these were his first thoughts.
[16:48] >> I want to say I can't remember who it
[16:50] was, but I I I knew I was like, we're
[16:52] not going to turn this into some JFK.
[16:55] Um I and I I specifically asked one of
[16:58] the doctors. I don't know. I remember
[17:00] what she looked like. Uh, dark skin, um,
[17:04] like dark hair, probably 35, 40 years
[17:07] old. I said, "How long until we can get
[17:09] an autopsy?" And I remember her saying,
[17:11] "A day, a day and a half." And I was
[17:14] like, and so, I mean, she's the boss of
[17:18] that. That's just information. And so,
[17:20] um, uh, I remember, uh, I was like, man,
[17:25] that's a long time.
[17:28] We need to get this autopsy done and
[17:30] done right so that there's not some
[17:32] conspiracy.
[17:33] >> Like, what even is that? What even is
[17:36] that? That is such a weird thing for
[17:38] someone to think in that situation. In
[17:40] the same interview, he talks about
[17:43] having a friendly relationship with
[17:44] Charlie. You would expect his first
[17:47] thoughts to be about the loss of his
[17:49] friend, the fact that Charlie is a
[17:51] husband, he's a father, he's a brother,
[17:54] he has so many people who love him. Why
[17:56] would you think that there needs to be
[17:58] an autopsy? Because you don't want
[18:00] people to think that there's a
[18:01] conspiracy. It's just such a weird thing
[18:03] to say and we do think there's a
[18:04] conspiracy and I don't think seeing the
[18:07] autopsy is going to change that anyways.
[18:08] Now, here's another thing that he said
[18:11] that is not true.
[18:13] >> And so, do it. Make them make them tell
[18:16] us why
[18:17] that they tore that up before it was
[18:20] even cold. I want to know
[18:23] cuz it came back on us that we had some
[18:26] trap door and they're covering up the
[18:28] trap door and we had a guy hiding in
[18:30] there.
[18:31] >> Okay, that's actually my next question.
[18:33] I didn't hear about the there was
[18:34] somebody hiding in the trap door.
[18:36] >> Gun was hiding or something.
[18:37] >> I heard there was a trap door or
[18:39] something. Was there a trap door in a
[18:40] tunnel system?
[18:41] >> No,
[18:42] >> there was not.
[18:43] >> No.
[18:44] So maybe the term trap door is not the
[18:48] most accurate way to describe what was
[18:50] there, but there was something there.
[18:52] There was a tunnel beneath where Charlie
[18:54] Kirk was sitting. And the construction
[18:55] workers were meddling with this area
[18:57] when they were paving over the grass.
[18:59] I'm sure there's more lies that he told
[19:01] that I missed. And if there are, please
