[00:42] >> My heart's broken with the things that

[00:44] are going on with Candace and I'm trying

[00:48] to make it all come together. I'm not

[00:51] I'm sure I'm not your only fan that is

[00:53] trying to do that um because of the

[00:56] relationship that she had with Charlie.

[00:58] Um and one thing that I'm just trying to

[01:01] make come together in my head is why

[01:05] the invitation was extended to Candace

[01:08] but not to Candace directly. Blake, I

[01:10] think you tweeted something out and I I

[01:13] don't know if you know I don't know

[01:15] what's truth and what's not, but I do

[01:17] know that she said she she didn't even

[01:19] see the invitation and it was issued

[01:22] Blake I think at 12 on a tweet that you

[01:24] had but or midnight 12 not noon

[01:28] midnight. And so it was like 9 hours

[01:30] later before she even knew that you said

[01:32] anything about her attending the show

[01:34] and then she's saying she can't attend

[01:36] in person. Can she attend on a live

[01:38] stream or you know and and you guys do

[01:41] live streams all the time and is is that

[01:43] going to be an I'm just trying to make

[01:45] this come together.

[01:46] >> Of course, Gina. So, first of all, uh

[01:48] our initial statement, it was on the

[01:50] show on Wednesday. Uh I made it at at

[01:53] the request of Erica. All of this has

[01:55] been uh at the direction and approval of

[01:58] of Erica uh because she heads this. And

[02:01] so we what we were announcing there is

[02:03] we said she has said things that are not

[02:07] true and we did not address them for a

[02:11] long time. We stated the reasons why

[02:12] that we thought a lot of them were just

[02:16] not

[02:18] we how to put it

[02:21] we initially just thought no one would

[02:23] believe a lot of what was being said and

[02:25] we also just we we remembered the same

[02:27] friendship that Charlie had and we just

[02:28] hoped that this would go away without

[02:31] requiring any sort of direct statement

[02:34] or confrontation from us. So, what was

[02:37] approved is we announced we are going to

[02:39] respond to this. And what I said was we

[02:41] are going to announce a date soon. We

[02:43] actually hadn't agreed on it at the time

[02:44] I read the statement. We're going to

[02:46] announce a date where we're going to

[02:48] respond to this. And once we announce

[02:50] it, Candace is free to attend in person.

[02:53] That is what we announced. And so once

[02:55] we agreed on a time, I announced what

[02:57] the time was going to be. Candace, for

[02:59] her part, had said, "You name the time,

[03:02] you name the place." That is what we

[03:04] did. Uh, as for why it was put out at

[03:08] that time, I would just say I don't

[03:09] think she had any difficulty in finding

[03:11] out what our what our scheduled time

[03:14] was. It seems everyone found it out

[03:16] quite quickly. And lastly, on the point

[03:19] of why it's in person, I think it's

[03:22] pretty intuitive that given what is

[03:26] being said, what the way this has worked

[03:29] is that it's critical to be in person if

[03:31] you want to be authentic and to be

[03:34] detailed. And

[03:36] >> that is what we think is a fair request

[03:38] to make if she's going to participate.

[03:41] But regardless, it is going to go

[03:43] forward because we have agreed that some

[03:46] response needs to be made. And so that's

[03:48] going to happen when we announced it on

[03:50] December 15th.

[03:51] >> I just don't think I'm the only person

[03:53] who who has heard some things that truly

[03:56] do do not make sense. Um, and I know

[04:00] that Candace is asking a lot of

[04:03] questions and she's way out there. But I

[04:05] also know that there are lots of us who

[04:08] are just everyday normal average

[04:10] Americans who are fans of yours. We're

[04:13] fans of Charlie's. We're fans of

[04:16] Candace's and they were friends and and

[04:18] the things that don't make sense. I

[04:20] think so many of us are really just

[04:22] wanting for there to be some kind of uh

[04:25] logic to the whole thing. And I I have

[04:28] asked Candace myself, I mean, I'm one

[04:30] person in all of America and maybe the

[04:33] world for that matter who has asked her

[04:35] to please, you know, go ahead and go

[04:38] come to come to your place, whatever you

[04:40] need. So that those of us who

[04:43] by complete hap happen stance have

[04:46] turned out to be people who listen to

[04:48] both of your podcasts. It it doesn't

[04:51] make any sense. So

[04:53] >> yeah, Gina, sorry. We've got just we're

[04:55] coming up on another little break before

[04:56] we welcome back radio here. So, you

[04:58] know, I I really appreciate your heart

[05:00] genuinely and I I hear, you know, the

[05:03] sincere request for things that you you

[05:05] think don't make sense. I will say a

[05:07] couple things just before we have to go

[05:09] back to radio here. One is that that's

[05:12] why, you know, we're doing this uh this

[05:15] stream on the 15th. we want to address

[05:17] any of this stuff and just and let

[05:19] everybody know the truth because much of

[05:21] it is is very simple uh very simple to

[05:24] rebut and to explain and um I would also

[05:27] say that um you know we want to be uh

[05:32] cognizant all the time and we're aware

[05:34] of this. we're in a different situation

[05:35] because there is an ongoing

[05:36] investigation. There's a trial. We uh

[05:39] have to be more careful than other

[05:41] voices out there what we say. And

[05:42] there's always the issue of tainting a

[05:44] potential jury pool that we're always

[05:45] very sensitive
