Jason Goodman Defends His Charlie Kirk Projectile Theory While Accusing Rival Commentators of Social Engineering

Filming a walking livestream on Manhattan's Highline, Crowdsource the Truth host Jason Goodman revisits his theory that Charlie Kirk was struck by a projectile fired from behind rather than killed by an exploding microphone, using frame-by-frame video analysis to argue the microphone remained magnetically attached to Kirk's shirt throughout the shooting, which he says disproves the exploding-microphone theory. He explains how he traced a high dynamic range video, originally surfaced through commentator Zeb Boykin, to a specific Apple camera processing mode, and argues three dots visible across consecutive frames represent a projectile rather than debris.

Setting the Scene

Jason Goodman opens by filming himself walking along the Highline park in Manhattan, describing the day's weather and surroundings before transitioning into a discussion of recent developments in the Charlie Kirk case, including changes to how suspect Tyler Robinson will be allowed to appear in court.

Addressing Erika Kirk's Video

Goodman discusses a video Erika Kirk posted of her young daughter, saying he found it emotionally difficult to watch and declining to speculate negatively about her motives for releasing it, while noting he has not yet looked into separate claims sent to him regarding a nonprofit or adoption-related activity in Romania.

Revisiting the Microphone and Projectile Theory

Goodman plays several video clips frame by frame, arguing that Charlie Kirk's microphone remains visibly and magnetically attached to his shirt for multiple frames after the shooting, which he argues disproves theories that the microphone exploded or fired a projectile. He explains his theory that a projectile, which he says appears as three dots across consecutive video frames, struck Kirk from behind, traveling at roughly 500 feet per second, and argues this is consistent with a high dynamic range video format he traced to a specific Apple camera processing technique.

Tracing the Video's Origins

Goodman describes how he obtained an original 30 frames per second, 211-megabyte Dolby Vision HDR version of a key video through a bounty he offered, which he says is currently set at $3,500, and explains that the bounty requires not just new evidence but an evidence-based theory disproving his account, which he says no one has provided.

Accusations Against Other Commentators

Goodman accuses several other people covering the Charlie Kirk case of inconsistent behavior he characterizes as social engineering, including a pseudonymous commentator he refers to as John Cullen, who he says has gone silent for several weeks after promoting a drone-based theory and later publicly disputing Goodman's projectile theory without explaining his reasoning; commentator Zeb Boykin, who Goodman says behaved suspiciously when an early version of the key video surfaced and coined a term, 'bleed frames,' that Goodman says has no basis in established terminology; a commentator he refers to as Matthew on TriggerSmart, whom he accuses of repeatedly focusing on anonymous emails sent to him rather than engaging with Goodman's technical analysis; and Blake Bednarz, who Goodman says publicly accused him of harassment after Goodman called a phone number he says he was instructed to call.

Contrasting Adam Bartholomew's Behavior

By contrast, Goodman describes journalist Adam Bartholomew, whose livestream was reportedly cut off moments before the shooting, as behaving consistently and transparently, noting that he was able to verify Bartholomew's identity easily and that Bartholomew has appeared on his show multiple times without issue.

Condemning Ryan Matta

Goodman directly addresses Candace Owens, criticizing her for promoting commentator Ryan Matta, whom Goodman accuses of making an antisemitic remark suggesting Goodman should not be allowed to speak on a platform because he is Jewish. Goodman condemns this remark in strong terms, comparing it to dismissing Owens' own commentary because of her race or marriage, and says it disqualifies Mata from serious consideration in his view.

Unresolved Questions Goodman Raises

Goodman says he remains uncertain about a claim involving a black screen visible on commentator Frank Turk's phone in a video, declining to conclude that this proves Turk lied about anything. He similarly says he cannot verify a separate claim involving Google search trend data allegedly originating from Israel, noting he lacks the technical expertise to confirm or dispute it. He closes by questioning why other commentators covering the case, including Candace Owens, have not focused more attention on a military jet and drone footage he considers highly suspicious.
