Lance Wallnau's First Interview With Erika Kirk One Month After Marrying Charlie Kirk
Lance Wallnau shares his first interview with Erika Kirk, conducted just one month after she married Charlie Kirk. Erika discusses her Christian clothing brand Proclaimed Streetwear, her mission to guide thousands through reading the Bible in 365 days, and her pursuit of a PhD in education alongside her law degree from Liberty University. The conversation addresses the rise of young conservative Christian women, the toxic boss babe culture, the importance of authentic leadership, and why pastors need to stop being silent on critical cultural issues.
Meeting the Woman Behind Charlie Kirk
Lance Wallnau introduces his first interview with Erika Kirk, conducted just one month after her marriage to Charlie Kirk. Wallnau notes the enthusiasm from his staff and other media personalities who had been urging him to meet Charlie's wife, not just because she's nice, but because she can hold her own. He observes that Charlie appears happy in his marriage, and rather than becoming domesticated, he seems more focused than ever.
Erika confirms that the first month of marriage has been the best month of her life, adding that she's obsessed with being married. She assures Wallnau that they're keeping Charlie a firebrand, maintaining his edge and passion for the conservative movement.
Proclaimed Streetwear: Purpose-Driven Christian Fashion
Wallnau highlights what makes Erika distinctive among public Christians—she's unabashedly and unashamedly vocal about her faith. This authenticity has resonated with Wallnau's daughter and others who have been following her work.
Erika discusses her Christian clothing brand, Proclaimed Streetwear, which is based on Isaiah 61. The brand operates with a unique purpose-driven mission model where each item in the collection has a specific charitable purpose attached to it. She explains that the brand is made entirely in the USA and operates unapologetically as a Christian enterprise.
As an example, Erika describes their Isaiah 61 collection sweatshirt. When someone purchases this sweatshirt, they receive a second one to give away to someone in need in their community. This mission is based on Luke 3:11, which instructs that if you have two shirts, you should give the second one to someone in need. The initiative particularly focuses on clothing the homeless during winter months.
Academic Pursuits and Ministry Leadership
Erika holds a law degree from Liberty University, which Wallnau notes is known for producing some of the nation's greatest debaters. Not content with just one advanced degree, she's currently pursuing a PhD in education. Wallnau jokingly asks if she's trying to intimidate Charlie with her credentials, to which Erika responds that she's collecting degrees for the family.
Beyond her academic achievements, Erika leads a ministry that guides people through reading the entire Bible in 365 days. Thousands of young men and women across the country participate in this initiative, reading scripture from Genesis to Revelation together over the course of one year.
What sets her ministry apart is her personal involvement. Erika provides her phone number to participants and emails them daily. Every morning, she texts participants their Bible verses for the day, including readings from the New Testament, Old Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Her message is clear: there's no excuse for not reading scripture when she's taken the time to deliver it directly to them.
Empowering Young Conservative Women
Wallnau observes the thousands of young, beautiful, conservative Christian women attending the Turning Point conference and asks Erika what resonates most with them. Erika responds that she finds it humbling to witness how God is using Charlie, especially through these conferences.
She explains that young women and men are under attack in contemporary culture. These young women have lost friends, been cancelled, and experienced the brutality of cancel culture. The conference provides them with an opportunity to come together, find community with like-minded individuals, and form new friendships.
According to Erika, attendees aren't just receiving political updates—they're learning how to stay encouraged and remain in the fight. The conference empowers them to continue standing for their values. She emphasizes that there's a collective hunger for community among young conservatives who have been isolated and are desperate to be around other like-minded people.
The Toxic Boss Babe Culture and Authentic Leadership
When Wallnau asks which issues Erika champions most passionately, she first identifies herself as an ambassador for Christ. Beyond that, she addresses what she sees as a critical problem affecting young women today.
Erika believes many young women are missing out on incredible God-sized opportunities and the calling God needs them to fulfill because they're stuck in the influencer social media world. They're constantly comparing themselves to others—their follower counts, their likes, their hashtags—and getting trapped in a world that doesn't truly exist. They're compromising where they're supposed to be in the real world for a world that is just glitter and paper.
She references a talk from earlier that morning about how women often walk into a room and immediately start comparing themselves to other females present—their appearance, intelligence, and other attributes. Wallnau adds his perspective on authenticity, noting that despite having expensive studios, professional teams, and special effects, one of his most viewed videos was a spontaneous recording about how to throw away a garbage can with a broken bottom. That video generated 100,000 organic views, far outperforming his professionally produced content.
The lesson, they agree, is that authenticity trumps production value. People crave genuine connection, not polished performance. Erika contrasts the toxic boss babe culture with authentic leadership, arguing that authentic leaders are what the movement truly needs.
Wallnau suggests that authentic leadership requires two things: competence and confidence. Erika adds a third essential element—humility. An authentic leader must maintain a sense of proportion and recognize they're not the center of the universe.
The Silent Church and the Need for Pastoral Engagement
Wallnau raises one of the frustrations he shares with Charlie Kirk—the lack of engagement from people of faith in the cultural and political battles shaping the nation. He asks Erika why pastors remain silent.
Erika offers a pointed critique: if YouTube and online giving didn't exist, many church doors would be open because pastors could stay home, stream online or from the church, and still receive their tithing. But without those technologies enabling them to maintain their income while avoiding controversy, their doors would remain open and they'd have to actually engage.
She argues that scripture warned believers about this situation—there would be real shepherds and fake ones standing in pulpits. The ones truly on fire for the Lord are the ones fighting for the gospel. Erika reminds Wallnau that America was founded on the Black Robe Regiment—pastors who were instrumental in establishing the nation's founding principles.
Wallnau predicts that the current season, including the midterms and the next presidential election, will flush out shepherds into positions where they must choose—either for or against the reformation and awakening that could save the country. They won't be able to hide behind other subjects anymore.
Erika agrees, noting that many churches are tiptoeing around abortion, hiding behind the BLM hashtag, or avoiding controversial topics. This behavior demonstrates how little these pastors actually know about the gospel and their Lord and Savior.
Turning Point Faith and Freedom Square
Wallnau asks about Turning Point Faith, the faith-based initiative within the Turning Point organization. Erika discusses Freedom Square, an event Charlie started at Dream City Church in Phoenix that meets every Tuesday of each month.
The turnout has been phenomenal, with thousands of people attending. What makes Freedom Square particularly effective is that Charlie gives attendees an action item at the end of each gathering. At the most recent Freedom Square, he focused on school board meetings.
Following that event, thousands of parents went online, looked up their local school board meetings, and began flooding them. They're each taking their allotted minute to speak before school boards, and these moments are going viral. Erika notes that Charlie has been randomly showing up at these school board meetings, creating surprise Charlie Kirk sightings that further energize parents.
Wallnau suggests they should implement a similar strategy in Texas, filming these confrontations and mobilizing believers to take action in their local communities. Erika enthusiastically supports the idea.
The Lion Is Roaring
Wallnau concludes the interview by encouraging viewers to connect with Erika on Instagram at Mrs. Erika Kirk or visit proclaimedstreetwear.com. He identifies her as one of his new favorite people and thanks her for appearing on his show.
In his closing remarks, Wallnau discusses his book The Return of the Lion, which addresses the reformation movement going from the church to education, government, media, business, and entertainment. He describes the current manifestation of Christ not just as the redemptive Jesus, but as a ruler and judge—the Lion of Judah ruling upon the throne of David. The book addresses what's happening in the Middle East, the rise of anti-semitism, and how the people of God should respond to these developments.

I'm going through the archives here in
the uh studio and guess what I found? My
very first interview with Erica Kirk,
Charlie's wife, just like a month or so
after they got married. I was so excited
because uh I wanted to meet her and she
is like, you know, the lioness that is
taking on the mantle
of her slain husband. you need to meet
her as I met her. I'm going to share
this interview with you and in uh in
keeping with that, I'm thinking about
this. I just wrote this book called The
Return of the Lion. This is the lion
that is rising up right now in the body
of Christ. The devil is roaring with all
his satanic rage against the move of
God. He cannot stop. Want you go to
lancewall.com/lion
and get this. By the way, it's uh
virtually free just for your gift of any
amount. Just cover the postage. Will you
get the book? It explains this move, the
reformation move that's going from the
church to education, government, media,
business, and entertainment. Bam. You're
anointed to wreck the devil's kingdom.
The lion's roar is back. And you'll love
to hear that sweet uh roar inside of
America. By the way, I watched a
interview last night with Charlie and
Erica and the question was which one of
you is more conservative and they both
agreed she is. He said actually he said
I'm more moderate than my wife. I
believe Turning Point is in good hands.
Watch this interview. It'll bless you.
Welcome once again to the Lance Wallnau
Show. I never quite know which one of
the shows we're going to be putting
these interviews on, so I just call it
Lance Wallow Show because we got
different platforms we have. It's easier
this way. But I do know I'm gonna have
Erica Kirk on every one of those
platforms because her husband Charlie
Kirk is one of those uh stimulating uh
kind of uh interview provocators that
when he and I get together, it's like we
just have a great conversation and we
just got to set up a microphone or a
camera and we just talk and talk and
talk till we have to stop and uh and and
we really don't get to do it enough
because of the hectic pace you guys have
>> organized chaos,
>> but we pick up wherever we left off and
It's like, "Yay, we're back together."
And then we just kind of pick it up. But
I could already tell from the enthusiasm
of my staff and from other media people.
They said, "Have you met his wife? Have
you met his wife?" And when I hear that,
it's not like she's nice. It's like she
can hold her own. You're going to you're
going to have your your uh you're going
to have your hands full. So, I am so
glad Erica Kirk married one month now.
>> Married one month. Best month of my
life.
>> Best month.
>> I'm obsessed with being married. And
Charlie Kirk looks happy and he doesn't
thank God he doesn't look like some guys
get it's almost like after they get
married they get a little domestic they
get a little bit he doesn't seem as
though he's in any way. No,
>> if anything he's just got this resolved
now so he can keep focus.
>> We're keeping him a fire brand for sure.
>> Oh, there you go. I love it. You have so
many things you're doing but you got a
podcast which is called Midweek Rise up
but you got a really cool Christian
clothing brand and you want me to tell
you this? Look, do you want me to tell
you this? I want to tell you this. my
daughter and some of the other uh folks
that have been tracking with you. They
love the fact that you are an unabashed
unashamed. Some people are Christians
by, you know, by by kind of by nuance,
but you're not ashamed at all to own it.
>> No,
>> you're putting it right out there.
>> Absolutely.
>> That is so priceless. So this um you're
you got a Christian clothing brand,
which is really cool.
>> It's like what does that look like? I
mean,
>> great question. So it's called
Proclaimed Streetwear. It's based off of
Isaiah 61 and then it's purpose- driven.
So each item within the clothing and
collection line that we have has a
purpose-driven mission attached to it.
So for example, we have a sweatshirt uh
that's a part of the Isaiah 61
collection. When you purchase a
sweatshirt, the purpose-driven mission
behind it is Luke 3:11 where it says,
"If you have two of two of the shirts,
give the second one away to someone in
need." Love it.
>> So that's what that mission is
specifically for that item. So when
someone purchases a sweatshirt, they're
gifted a second sweatshirt to give to
someone else in need in their community
during the winter season to be able to
clothe the homeless on their own. Do
>> you know I accidentally sold almost
$30,000
in boots by having a conversation like
this with a cell phone walking through a
store in Dallas. And the owner said he'd
give a pair away for everyone that got
bought. And he he texted me later. He
said, "It's crazy. We got like $30,000
of boots we sold. I had no idea." It's
amazing.
>> So, would you tell them right now how do
they get a hold of your uh uh products
because they're going to do it?
>> Okay, great. It's everything's made in
the USA and it's at proclaimed
streetware.com and we're
unapologetically Christian just like you
said.
>> I love it. Liberty University law degree
which is tough school. Liberty's
greatest debaters coming from Liberty.
My daughter is thinking about going to
law school. Liberty.
>> She should.
>> And you're currently pursuing a PhD in
education as though it's not enough that
you're already a lawyer. Now you have to
do at some point. Do you think you're
ever going to be intimidated to Charlie?
Do you think you're going to get an edge
on him and stuff?
>> No. No.
>> I'm collecting the degrees for the
family.
>> That's Dr. Fren. Okay. And then you've
got something else when you're not busy
with that. You have a ministry that
covers the Bible in 365 days.
>> I do. We have thousands of young men and
women across the country that we all
read the scripture from beginning to
end, Genesis to Revelation in one year,
all together. And I also include my
phone number within that. So, not only
do that, I email them every day, but I
text them every morning and I give them
their Bible verses. There is no excuse.
I don't care if you're busy. Here's your
New Testament, Old Testament, Psalms or
Proverbs for the day.
>> No excuse.
>> No excuse.
>> Because you took time to do it.
>> Yeah. Exactly.
>> Listen, I'm not going We only have a few
minutes. Why talk about any more of
this? This is exciting as it is. But
what is the subject right now at the
conference we're at that you would say
>> um is having the most impact on these
young women? I'm seeing thousands of
young conservative women, beautiful uh
Christian and conservative women. I'm so
glad you guys are doing this. Uh but
what what are you hearing that resonates
with them? What do you think is catching
fire?
>> That's a great question. I think having
the to me it's very humbling to be able
to witness the way that God is using
Charlie, especially with these
conferences and young women and young
men are under attack these days. And for
young women to all come together,
thousands of them that have lost
friends, that have been cancelled, that
are going through the craziness of
cancel culture, to be able to have
friends and new friends and have God
somehow pour into them through a
stranger or just incredible things going
on here at the conference. So, not only
are they hearing about political
updates, but they're also learning about
how to stay encouraged, how to stay in
in in the fight, just being here to be
empowered. So, I think it's really
amazing how there's just a collective
group here that are like, "We've missed
community. We want to be around other
like-minded people."
>> Sure. Sure. They are
>> the uh of all the issues that are on the
table now, and boy, there's a myriad of
them,
>> which which ones are the ones that
personally, if you had to pick one or
two that you were an advocate for, that
you were a champion for, what would you
be um fighting right now?
>> It's a great question. I
obviously I'm an ambassador for Christ.
That's first and foremost. But I think a
lot of girls, and I talked about this
earlier this morning, I think a lot of
girls are missing out on some incredible
God-sized opportunities and the calling
that God needs them to fulfill by being
so stuck in this influencer
social media world, comparing themselves
to other people, comparing their their
follower count, comparing their likes,
the hashtags, and getting stuck in a
world that doesn't exist and
compromising that. compromising where
they're supposed to be in this world for
a world that is just you glitter and
paper.
>> Yep. I I I heard it might have been you
as a matter of fact as I'm go I'm
sneaking into the VIP room over there
then I'm coming out here and and I was
listening could have been you but I was
listening to to uh one of the speakers
talk about how they know what it's like
when a woman walks into a room and right
away they're comparing themselves to all
the other females that are there
similar. You know what you know what do
they look like? What do I look like? Are
they are are they smart? their IQ.
>> And listen, man, this this thing about
authenticity, this here's the weird
thing.
>> Absolutely.
>> People crave authenticity. And as and as
much as you may want to be able to win
the comparison contest,
in reality, as I do these videos and we
have studios, we have expensive teams,
we have special effects. One of the most
hilarious consistencies is I did an
expensive studio shoot here in Dallas,
like a TVN studio, and we did our shoot
and it's like I got done, I'm exhausted,
I go home
>> and I uh bring in a garbage can and I
said, "Let's do an experiment. I'm now
going to go live with my garbage can and
see which one has more views."
>> Oh, you probably blew up on the garbage
can. blew up on the garbage can because
when I looked at the garbage can, the
garbage can when I looked inside, it
looks like the bottom's going to fall
out. So, I thought thought to myself,
how do you throw away a garbage can? So,
I went and I was asking my audience, how
do I get rid of a garbage can? Look, and
I convinced them, the bottom's going to
fall out. And I the thing blows up. It's
100,000 organic views with everyone
commenting,
>> right? So, the comparison isn't really
in the studio or the content, the suit I
was wearing, or if I was as good as
Tucker Carlson. The authenticity
actually is being nutty enough to be
original.
>> I couldn't agree more. And that's what I
was sharing with them was that we have
this boss babe culture which is so
toxic, which is so anothetical to the
gospel, and then you have the authentic
leader on the other side of that, which
I think is what will be the one.
>> Authentic leader. Do you hear this?
>> That's what we need.
>> Oh boy. Authentic leader. And to an
extent to be authentic, you have to have
I think two things. I think you have to
be competent. You have to be really good
at what you do.
>> And you have to be confident
>> and humble.
>> And well, okay. Humble. Humility.
Charlie. And as for Charlie, I usually
miss that third.
Darn. You had to bring that up as
humble.
>> Yeah. And you have to be able to retain
that sense of of proportion that you're
not you're not the center of of the
universe, right? But I I know I only got
a minute here, but I got to ask you a
question.
>> Honestly,
>> don't you think the church needs to
become a little bit more engaged in this
process? One of the frustrations Charlie
and I have is that we're not seeing more
people of faith. Why is it
>> the pastors are silent?
>> Talk to me about it. Why is it? My thing
is if YouTube didn't exist and if online
giving didn't exist, all of their doors
would be open because they can stay at
home and they can just stream online or
they can stream from the church and
still get their their tithing. But if
there that didn't exist, their doors
would still be open. And it drives me
nuts. I I mean, we were told this in
scripture. We're going to have the real
ones and the fake ones that are standing
in the pulpit. And the ones that are on
fire for the Lord,
>> they're the ones that are out there
fighting for the gospel. I mean, our
country was founded on the black robe
regimen. They're the reason why a lot of
things happened in the beginning of
>> And I have a prediction. I have a
prediction that this this particular
season, these midterms, this next
presidential election is going to flush
out finally those shepherds
>> into positions where they're either for
or against the reformation and the
awakening that's going to save the
country. Absolutely. And they're not
going to be able to hide behind other
subjects.
>> No, not at all. And that's the thing is
in the church, they're they're tiptoeing
around abortion or they're tiptoeing
around certain things or they're hiding
behind the BLM hashtag. And that just
goes to show
>> how little they know about the gospel
and about their Lord and Savior if
that's what they're behind.
>> But you guys have a faith initiative
too, don't you? Where you're working
with churches.
>> Turning Point Faith. Mhm.
>> Talk for just a minute about that.
>> Yeah. So Charlie started something at
Dream City Church in Phoenix recently
called Freedom Square and it's been
actually phenomenal to see the turnout
for that because not only has there been
thousands of people, it's every Tuesday
of each month, thousands of people. But
here's the kicker. He gives them an
action item at the end. So last Freedom
Square, he brought up schoolboard
meetings. So now all these parents are
going on the website looking up all
these schoolboard meetings and they're
flooding them and they're all getting up
there getting their minute to talk in
front of the school board and it's going
viral.
>> And you know what he's doing? He's
showing up randomly like it's like at
these random Charlie Kirk siting and
he's showing up popping up
>> at the school boards.
>> I think we should do that. I think we
should do that in Texas.
>> Film it.
>> I think we should do it.
>> I support it.
>> All right. One more time. Erica, what's
