Lance Wallnau's Seven Mountains Alliance With Charlie Kirk

Lance Wallnau became one of Charlie Kirk's closest allies in blending explicitly Christian theology with political organizing, most visibly through his Seven Mountains framework: the idea that believers are called to actively occupy culture, education, government, media, business, and entertainment among them, rather than retreat from it. He pushed back directly on leadership figures like John Maxwell who told pastors to avoid political engagement entirely, comparing that stance to Civil War-era border-state churches that stayed conspicuously quiet on slavery rather than risk dividing their congregations.

Wallnau and Kirk developed Project 81 together, a strategy aimed at pushing evangelical turnout above 81 percent across seven swing states, explicitly naming Russell Moore, David French, and Rob Reiner as the coordinated opposition trying to keep Christians out of politics by branding any involvement as Christian nationalism. Wallnau conducted Erika Kirk's first public interview roughly a month after her wedding to Charlie, introducing her to his audience as, in his words, the lioness now carrying her husband's mantle. After the assassination, Wallnau described Kirk as the first martyr of a third great awakening, framing the digital compilation of Kirk's teachings now comforting grieving young people as evidence of a genuine spiritual revival rather than simply political mourning.
