Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders shared surveillance footage showing three young people on scooters restoring a Charlie Kirk memorial in Bentonville, Arkansas after it was destroyed by vandals. The heartwarming moment came days after two women were arrested and charged with criminal mischief for kicking down candles, ripping signs, and hurling insults at the memorial honoring the late conservative activist. Sanders accompanied the post with an optimistic message: there is still a lot of good in our country. The incident in Bentonville is part of a troubling pattern of memorial desecrations, including a separate case in Arizona where a teenager attempted to destroy a memorial outside Turning Point USA headquarters.

Two Women Arrested for Vandalism
On September 16th, ambassador of the Riley Gaines Center, Olivia Krolczyk, shared footage of two women destroying the memorial. In the video, two women later identified as 23-year-old Carrie Melissa Rolo and 22-year-old Kaye Heather Rolo can be seen kicking down candles, ripping signs, and hurling insults.
As a result, the police were notified. According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, local authorities responded to a call of vandalism, carried out a brief investigation, and later arrested and charged both women with criminal mischief in the first degree. Kaye faces an additional charge of obstruction of governmental operations.
Pattern of Memorial Desecration Continues
Sadly, this is just the most recent occurrence in a series of similar incidents. According to police, an Arizona teen attempted to destroy a memorial outside of Turning Point USA's headquarters that was dedicated to its slain co-founder.
Disturbing video captured 19-year-old Ryder Coral stomping on flowers, photos, and gifts left in Charlie Kirk's honor, all while wearing a t-shirt similar to the one worn by alleged assassin Tyler Robinson. Horrified witnesses watched the spectacle until a furious bystander pulled him away and threw him to the ground where another mourner then kicked him.
Law enforcement eventually rushed in to pull Coral away from the angry crowd, handcuffing him and taking him into police custody. Coral is set to be charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
