Tucker Carlson Questions FBI Investigation Into Assassination

Tucker Carlson revealed his skepticism about the FBI's handling of the investigation into the assassination, expressing concerns that have resonated across the political spectrum. In a conversation, Carlson carefully avoided speculation he couldn't prove, acknowledging his relationship with the victim's wife, Erika, and his desire not to make the situation worse for the family.

While Tyler Robinson remains in custody, Carlson emphasized that all crimes contain anomalies and contradictions when examined closely. However, he issued a stark warning: if the FBI concludes its investigation by declaring Robinson a lone gunman without conducting a truly exhaustive investigation comparable to their January 6th probe, it will be inadequate and unacceptable, risking further division in the United States.

The Collapse of Trust in Federal Agencies

Carlson's skepticism reflects a broader erosion of public trust in federal law enforcement agencies. The loss of confidence in the FBI and CIA stems not from conspiracy theorists, but from the agencies themselves through their repeated failures and deceptions. From Russia gate to the Hunter Biden laptop story, from COVID-related totalitarianism to the Epstein coverup, these institutions have given Americans countless reasons to doubt their credibility.

The FBI's track record includes entrapment schemes, political corruption, and brazen misconduct without accountability. Historical incidents like Waco, Ruby Ridge, and COINTELPRO compound the modern scandals, creating a pattern of behavior that crosses administrations and political parties. This isn't a partisan issue but a systemic problem with what has been called the "uniparty" and the deep state apparatus.

Outstanding Questions in the Case

Carlson highlighted several specific concerns about the investigation. While acknowledging that video apparently exists of Robinson carrying a disassembled rifle in his backpack onto the roof, other aspects remain murky. The narrative about assembling, disassembling, and reassembling the weapon contains inconsistencies. The quality of released footage makes it difficult to confirm exactly what Robinson was carrying when leaving the building.

One of the most intriguing elements Carlson mentioned is George Zinn, who charged forward claiming he shot the victim, was taken to the police station, released after six hours, and admitted he made the false confession to help the actual killer escape. Despite this apparent admission of conspiracy, authorities showed little interest in investigating potential connections between Zinn and Robinson. This aspect has been largely overshadowed and memory-holed in public discussion.

Demands for Transparency and Accountability

Carlson emphasized the need for detailed explanations about how Robinson, described as a relatively normal young person, became radicalized enough to murder a stranger. He expressed zero confidence that adequate answers will be provided, drawing parallels to the Butler assassination attempt where virtually no information about the perpetrator was released despite claims of no social media presence or political motivation.

The limited information available includes text messages where Robinson allegedly stated he committed the act because the victim "spewed too much hate," along with some Instagram clues about his personal relationships. But this hardly constitutes the comprehensive narrative the public deserves, especially given the political nature of the assassination.

FBI Corruption and the Need for Reform

Carlson shared a direct quote from a former FBI employee who told him that everything he thinks about the FBI "undersells it" and is "10 times worse than you think." While uncertain of the full meaning, this insider perspective reinforced his conviction that he has no obligation to accept FBI narratives without proof.

The fundamental problem, Carlson explained, is the absence of accountability. Drawing a parallel to parenting, he noted that reform requires punishment—not execution, but the kind of consequences you would give your own children because you love them. When people are caught doing something wrong, they must admit it, face consequences, and then hopefully improve their behavior. Without this accountability cycle, no improvement occurs. The FBI has never faced such accountability, which is why the same patterns of behavior continue.

A Call for Public Outrage

Carlson stated he won't make hard judgments until there's sufficient reason, but if the FBI fails to conduct an adequate investigation, people should "go bonkers" and demand accountability. This isn't about one person or one political figure—it's about whether the country can function with institutions capable of holding wrongdoers to account and achieving justice.

The demand for transparency should cross political lines. Even those who disagreed with the victim's views should recognize that the integrity of investigations into political assassinations affects everyone. The precedent set by inadequate investigations like the JFK assassination demonstrates what happens when federal agencies aren't held to the highest standards.

The Role of Independent Media

The emergence of independent media has become essential precisely because traditional institutions have lost credibility. Like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden revealed truths concealed from the public over a decade ago, today's independent commentators and investigators are filling the vacuum left by corrupt institutions and complicit mainstream media.

This shift toward independent investigation and commentary represents one of the most positive developments for society. When official institutions can no longer be trusted as default sources of truth, citizens must rely on diverse voices willing to question narratives and pursue evidence wherever it leads.

The FBI itself created the environment where speculation and independent investigation flourish. By repeatedly lying, engaging in political operations, and avoiding accountability, these agencies destroyed their own credibility. The solution isn't to silence skeptics or dismiss them as conspiracy theorists—it's for institutions to earn back trust through transparency, honesty, and accountability. Until that happens, Americans have every right and reason to demand answers and refuse to accept official narratives at face value.
