Prove Me Wrong, the Format That Defined and Ended Kirk's Tour

Showing 39 Prove Me Wrong videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.

Prove Me Wrong became the signature debate format Charlie Kirk built his entire campus touring model around, an open invitation for any student to challenge him directly at a table setup that Andrew Kolvet said expanded dramatically after a spontaneous crowd singalong of the national anthem at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in spring 2024 convinced Kirk's team the format could draw far larger outdoor audiences than originally planned. The format's cultural reach grew significant enough that South Park parodied it directly in an episode featuring the character Cartman conducting campus debates modeled closely on Kirk's actual setup, including his security detail and visible Bible, a portrayal Kirk embraced publicly as evidence of how deeply his content had penetrated mainstream entertainment. Kirk was engaged in exactly this format, taking direct questions from students at Utah Valley University as the opening stop of his planned American Comeback Tour, when he was shot on September 10, 2025, an event witnesses including Jason Behunin and Christian Overton later described after returning to the campus to share their firsthand accounts. Following Kirk's death, Erika Kirk announced Turning Point USA would continue the format through a new initiative called Pick Up the Mic, framing its continuation as central to honoring her husband's vision for engaging young Americans directly rather than retreating from campus events after the tragedy.
