Utah Tech University police chief Wes Lauzy said his department increased patrols and student outreach following Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting at nearby Utah Valley University, while continuing annual active-shooter drills and reminding students that Utah law permits concealed handguns, but not rifles or shotguns, on campus with a valid permit.
