Charlie Kirk, Dr. James Lindsay, and Alex Marlow Expose Critical Race Theory's Threat to America

Charlie Kirk sits down with Dr. James Lindsay and Breitbart's Alex Marlow to dissect the existential threat of critical race theory and cultural Marxism in American institutions. From re-segregated classrooms and dormitories to the deliberate sexualization of children through social emotional learning, this conversation reveals the 100-year Marxist strategy to dismantle the nuclear family, corrupt education, and destroy Western civilization. Lindsay and Marlow trace the ideological roots from Antonio Gramsci to today's ESG social credit systems, offering parents concrete action steps to fight back against the indoctrination of their children. This is essential viewing for anyone seeking to understand and combat the woke takeover of America's schools and culture.

The End Game of Critical Race Theory

Charlie Kirk opens this critical discussion by asking Dr. James Lindsay a direct question: does critical race theory pose an existential threat to America? Lindsay's answer is unequivocal: "It's the end of the country if we keep letting it go." He defines critical race theory as the belief that racism organizes society at a fundamental level, benefits white people, and serves as a mechanism of control. "It's calling everything that you want to control racist until you control it," Lindsay explains. "It's a total trick. You let this happen, they take over everything, it's the end of the country."

The panel doesn't shy away from documenting the re-segregation of American society happening in real time. Over 75 schools across the country now have black-only dormitories. Columbia University hosts black-only graduation ceremonies. In Georgia public schools in downtown Atlanta, sixth-grade black students go to one classroom while sixth-grade white students go to another. Denver public schools have implemented black-only playground time where families of color are allowed to play and white families are not.

Lindsay explains the rationale behind this re-segregation: critical race theorists believe racism is the fundamental organizing principle of society, and therefore racial minorities need spaces away from what they call the "white gaze"—constant pressure to conform to white supremacy. The solution to separate drinking fountains, it appears, is separate drinking fountains.

The 100-Year Marxist Strategy

Alex Marlow traces the historical roots of this ideology to Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Marxist working in the 1910s and early 1920s, and The Frankfurt School. These thinkers didn't believe Marx understood the means to achieve his ends. They didn't think the proletariat would rise up and overthrow the bourgeoisie, particularly in America. Instead, they realized culture was deterministic, not economics.

"What they needed to do is to take over our core institutions and convince people that Marxism is the ideal," Marlow explains. "You don't do that by convincing people to rise up against the rich. You do it by convincing them via their cultural institutions." Gramsci identified five specific targets: religion, family, education, media, and law.

Lindsay adds crucial historical context: "By 1970, the National Education Association was already funding books called things like White Awareness: Racism and Education. They more or less had education by the early 1980s. If you seed education, you seed all of the professionals, all the future leaders of the country, and you can start to break things down. Fifty years down that track, you've got three generations of teachers, three or four generations of students, and you can snap it just like that."

The process appeared sudden but was actually very slow, then all at once—the culmination of a century-long infiltration of American institutions.

The ESG Social Credit System

Marlow identifies cultural Marxism as "the greatest gift to the super elite left"—corporations wanting to operate internationally without accountability. Amazon doesn't need to treat warehouse workers well, Hollywood doesn't need to treat women well, Google doesn't need to treat black people well. "All they have to do is post a black square on Instagram and then all of a sudden they can do whatever horrible stuff they were going to do," Marlow says.

The NFL, which is about 70% black and was universally beloved until recently, now has "End Racism" in the end zone while doing nothing substantive about actual equity or treatment of workers. Instead of recruiting diverse talent or distributing wealth equitably to Amazon warehouse workers, corporations simply virtue signal by sending checks to Black Lives Matter and announcing they're fighting for justice.

Lindsay introduces the term ESG—Environmental, Social, Governance—as letters everyone will be talking about. "This is already a social credit system that exists for corporations," he explains. "You can put your black square on Instagram and your ESG score goes up, and all of a sudden you can invest with big companies like Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Vanguard. If you don't, they won't carry your assets, they won't manage your portfolio, or they'll exclude you from investments. They've got a social credit system in place for corporations already."

The Gateway to Hell: Queer Theory and Sexual Grooming

Lindsay makes what he calls his most serious point: "Queer theory is the gateway to Hell. I'm serious. It is the gateway to Hell." He explains that critical race theory in schools serves as both a distraction from and a funnel into the sexual manipulation of children. He compares the current situation to what George Lukács unleashed in Hungary in the 1920s—a sexual education program nearly identical to today's comprehensive sex education, queer theory, and gender theory.

"What's going on is they're making—this is what Mao Zedong did—they separated the culture into five categories that were considered red for communist and five categories that were considered black for being bad," Lindsay explains. "He gave people black identities and a pathway to become a red guard by joining a red identity. If you're white, you have a black racial cultural identity under critical race theory, but if you become gender fluid, you have a red one. This is Mao's education program from 1966 remade in America."

The mechanism creates instability in children. "Queer in queer theory means an identity without an essence," Lindsay says. "You will not know who you are. You're going to have some weird 18-syllable sexuality, different romantic orientation and 12 genders, and you're going to come home and tell your parents they don't understand what it's like, and the family is broken. One generation to the next is split."

Marlow connects this to the destruction of the nuclear family, which has been the key unit for guidance, morality, and education throughout American history. "When you come home from college and you went as a girl and you're coming back as a boy or a non-binary hybrid of some kind, that confuses your family, that demoralizes your family. That calls into question the nuclear family, and it is a way for the state, for the public education apparatus, for the giant woke corporate world to supplant the nuclear family and replace it with total chaos."

Lindsay adds that this disruption literally goes straight back to Marx in The Communist Manifesto, where he plainly states that the nuclear family is a recreation of capitalism and a product of capitalism that reproduces capitalism. "It's one of the first things that has to be disrupted. This is a plan that goes back to the 1840s with Karl Marx himself to try to disrupt Western civilization so Marxists can take it over and run it through a state institution that they're totally in control of."

Social Emotional Learning: The Trojan Horse

Lindsay identifies social emotional learning (SEL) as the brand name for bringing Maoist education into American schools. This is the vehicle designed to teach children to think in terms of gender, culture, sensitivity, and trauma. Parents should watch for specific terminology:

  • Social emotional learning
  • Culturally responsive
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Transformative
  • Equity, diversity, inclusion
  • Privilege and belonging
  • Anything about normativity
  • Anything ending in "-sexual"
  • Gender as a social construct

Lindsay doesn't mince words: "People who are intentionally bringing social emotional learning into our nation's schools belong in prison. It is the worst form of psychological child abuse, being perpetrated by teachers pretending to be psychologists without a psychology license in a non-therapeutic, uncontrolled environment called a classroom with kids where they don't know what's going on at home, they don't know what the issue is."

He provides a disturbing example: seventh-grade 12-year-old girls filling out surveys explaining changes happening to their breasts, where hair is growing on their bodies, how boys are looking at them now—then sharing this in front of the class. "This is actual sexual abuse," Lindsay states plainly. "They belong in prison."

What Parents Must Do Now

When Charlie Kirk asks what can be done, Lindsay is direct: "Step one is fire them. You have to get them out of positions of power over your children." He acknowledges this isn't easily accomplished and outlines a strategy:

Talk to each other: Parents need to know they're not alone. Something weird and bad is happening, and there are legitimate reasons to want to pull kids out of schools right now.

Network and organize: Lindsay points to Utah Parents United, which gained almost 30,000 members in a year, as a model that should exist in every state.

Get informed: Parents need to educate themselves on these materials and understand what's happening.

Take action: Completely reboot the schools. People bringing Marx's techniques and Marxist ideology to children need to be removed from positions of authority.

Strengthen family bonds: Reach out to your kids to make sure those bonds stay safe and strong, because the entire system wants to sever that link more than anything.

Lindsay is clear that this will require enormous effort: parents stepping up to become teachers, figuring out new accreditation systems, creating new teaching colleges. "It's going to require so much hard work by you as parents and as adults," he says.

Lessons from Virginia and Practical Steps

Marlow highlights Virginia as a silver lining from the pandemic. Parents watching their kids' Zoom schooling realized they weren't learning reading, writing, and arithmetic or the founding documents and Enlightenment thinkers. They were learning critical race theory, Ibram X. Kendi, and Robin DiAngelo's white fragility—which Lindsay defines as "a psychological disorder" you allegedly have if you disagree with critical race theory.

When parents realized what was being taught, they stood up, got people thrown off school boards, and elected a Republican governor in a traditionally neutral state. "There is hope when people get involved on a micro level," Marlow says.

He recommends several specific actions:

  • Boycott woke businesses: Before buying from a new business, check their Instagram for the black square. If you see it, find an alternative product.
  • Support aligned businesses: Make sure you're supporting people trying to take on these corporations, not just with your voice but with your dollars. Build a conservative ecosystem where people can thrive.
  • Legal battles: Ensure the best lawyers are ready to sue into the ground anyone corrupting youth and abusing their power. Don't be afraid to invite the lawsuit—do a happy dance if you find a place where you can sue a school.
  • Vote: Get parents organized and show up to ask every mayor, school board member, and congressman where they stand on this. If they waver at all, vote them out. They must be clear.

Charlie Kirk recommends SecondVote.com, which rates every company on their political alignment. He uses the Salvation Army as an example of a once-trusted charity that has gone woke and should be starved of donations. Marlow agrees, stating he's a regular four-figure donor who will not give this year because they support woke indoctrination instead of simply helping people in need.

The Real Distraction

Both Lindsay and Marlow emphasize that all of this serves as a distraction from real issues and real solutions. Marlow lists what Americans aren't talking about because they're forced to defend against gender theory and being called terrorists for opposing critical race theory:

  • Inflation
  • The open border
  • China's missiles that can barely be detected
  • Americans still stranded in Afghanistan

But more importantly, it's a distraction from the fact that solutions to America's problems exist in documents we can read today: the founding documents, The Federalist Papers, the Bible, and Judeo-Christian values. "There are answers for us here, and we cannot read them or talk about them because we have to do so much defense," Marlow says. "That is the whole trick. The goal is to dismantle the foundation of this country, and that is the direction this is heading if we don't start changing the conversation right now."

A Call to Arms

Kirk acknowledges that many parents are confused, and that's by design. "They want you to be confused. They want you to be intimidated. They use unnecessarily long words and academic vocabulary to try to make it seem as if you're stupid, when in reality they're the fools and you have wisdom."

What's required is willingness and courage. This is primarily a parents' fight because it's happening to three-year-olds, four-year-olds, five-year-olds, and six-year-olds who cannot fight for themselves. This needs to be the most aggressive counter-move on the cultural and educational landscape.

Kirk notes that homeschooling has doubled in the last 18 months and expresses his desire to see it double again. "The educational cartel is about to be broken up and disrupted in a very, very positive way," he concludes.

The message is clear: parents must organize, educate themselves, take legal action, vote out compromised officials, support aligned businesses, and above all, strengthen the bond with their children. The battle for America's future is being fought in classrooms, corporate boardrooms, and family living rooms—and the outcome depends on parents willing to stand up and fight back.
