Charlie Kirk Explains Why Young Men Are Leading America's Conservative Revival and What the Church Must Do Next

Charlie Kirk reveals how Turning Point USA helped create the most substantial generational political realignment in American history, with young voters moving 13 points toward Trump. Speaking at Jack Hibbs' church in California, Kirk explains why 20-year-old men are now more conservative than 75-year-olds, how this generation was systematically abused through lockdowns and economic policies, and why the toxically feminine Democrat party drove millions toward conservatism. But Kirk warns that political revival means nothing without spiritual revival, challenging pastors across America to rise up and disciple the harvest of young men starving for biblical truth before the opportunity is lost.

The Greatest Political Realignment in American History

Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, appeared at a California church to discuss an unprecedented shift in American politics. After visiting hundreds of college campuses over the past year, Kirk witnessed something the media completely ignored: crowds of 4,000 to 6,000 students gathering in the middle of the day at some of the most liberal campuses across the country. The videos from these campus visits generated over 2.5 billion views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube in just nine months.

The results spoke for themselves on election night. Younger voters moved 13 points in President Trump's direction, representing the greatest move of any generation. Meanwhile, baby boomers actually moved two points toward Kamala Harris. Kirk explained that 20-year-old men are now approximately 10 points more conservative than the average 75-year-old voter, a complete inversion of conventional political wisdom.

The Most Abused Generation in History

Kirk outlined why this generational shift occurred, calling young people "one of the most abused generations, if not the most abused generation in history." This generation was masked unnecessarily, told to get experimental mRNA shots they didn't need, had prom and graduation canceled, and was locked away from peers during critical developmental years. The government printed trillions of dollars, flooding the housing market and nearly doubling housing prices.

Young people were told to go into debt studying things that don't matter to find jobs that don't exist, only to flood into cities filled with homelessness, vagrancy, and crime. They were told they would rent for the rest of their lives and should be happy with it. This generation is the first in American history not keeping pace with their parents, not even the Great Depression generation can say that.

Every metric shows this generation is more suicidal, drug-addicted, anxious, and dependent on pharmaceutical substances. They have fewer friends, are less likely to date, less likely to have kids. Meanwhile, baby boomers have seen their wealth increase since COVID, with houses worth more and 401k accounts growing. Kirk described this as a breakdown of the social compact.

The Toxically Feminine Democrat Party

Kirk explained why young men specifically are leading this conservative charge. In the state of nature, young men don't like taking orders from women. Politics is the administration of order and discipline, rules for life. The Democrat party has become toxically feminine, with two of the last three nominees being Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, described as more like Jezebel than Esther.

The muscular class of young Hispanics and young blacks are coming to the Republican party because they don't want to take orders from a political party that is screeching at them filled with unhappy women. Young men are being told they are the problem for merely existing, that they exhibit toxic masculinity, that they need to apologize for their existence.

Kirk painted a picture of the 20-year-old Amazon truck driver who decided not to go to college, so he's not in debt or being indoctrinated. He showers before work and showers after work, made sure everyone got their delivery packages during COVID. He scrolls through his TikTok feed and sees content talking about how men need to be men and restore order to society. He doesn't care that his last name is Sanchez or that he's black, he says the Democrat party doesn't represent him and he stands with Donald Trump because he's the alpha male that stands in the way of the toxically feminist agenda.

Information Consumption and the Conservative New Media

A critical factor in this shift is how different generations consume information. The 75-year-old grandfather probably gets news from newspapers or ABC, NBC, or cable news. His 20-year-old grandson gets news from Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. When conservatives had their backs against the wall after Biden became president, a new generation of truth tellers rose up, built platforms, got creative, built audiences, and pursued truth no matter the cost.

People like Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, Matt Walsh, and Theo Vaughn have a combined daily audience much greater than what CNN gets in an entire year. If you remove people watching CNN in airports, the network's reach would be minimal. This election, the Democrat party took for granted black voters, Hispanics, and younger voters, assuming these groups would never leave them. They were wrong.

Kirk noted that it's not enough for churches to just buy radio time anymore. The next generation receives information in 20 or 30-second sound bites on social media. Ministries need to adapt to reach this generation where they are.

The Institutional Trust Gap Between Generations

An average 75 or 80-year-old voter has high trust in institutions. They don't love talk about the FBI, CIA, CDC, FDA, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Eli Lilly all working together to poison Americans and make them sicker, less happy, and more depressed. For older voters, this message is institutional sensory overload. They grew up in a great country and view institutions as an extension of that greatness.

Over 80% of people 75 and older think there's nothing wrong with the COVID shot. Among 40-year-olds, approximately 70% think there's something wrong with it. Among 25-year-olds, roughly 80% believe it's actively causing myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots, and that kids are dropping dead from it.

Older voters are reluctant to revolutionary talk. A 20-year-old says the situation is even worse than described, they can't own anything, they're in debt, and they need a revolution. Gen X voters, particularly those with kids in school seeing what's happening in the culture war up close, also moved dramatically to the right, approximately 25 points more Republican than boomers despite being younger.

The Remarkable Trump Cabinet

Kirk praised the intellectual diversity and capability of President Trump's cabinet. Tulsi Gabbard and Bobby Kennedy at HHS are both Democrats who ran for the presidency. Kennedy's mission is to answer one question: Why are our kids so sick? In California, one in 28 kids has autism. Fifty percent of 15-year-olds are obese or overweight. Half of kids by age 21 will have contemplated suicide or said they are very depressed, hyper-anxious, or in need of significant counseling or a daily regimen of anti-depressants.

Kennedy used to pray on his hands and knees asking God to put him in a place where he could get to the bottom of why kids are so sick. He ran for presidency as an independent and as a Democrat. Kirk noted how difficult it was for a Kennedy to burn all the boats of his ancestry to endorse Donald Trump, yet Kennedy did it and became a tremendous surrogate. Now he's asking the right questions of vaccine manufacturers and trying to get pharmaceutical advertising off television.

The cabinet also includes Pete Hegseth at Department of Defense, JD Vance as Vice President (Kirk believes he'll make a great 48th president), Kash Patel running the FBI with Dan Bongino as deputy, Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, and Tom Homan securing the southern border. Kirk called this the most capable all-star team ever assembled to save the country.

The Threat of Islam and Western Secularism

Kirk and Jack Hibbs discussed the threat of cultural Islam to Western civilization, noting the church hasn't been properly equipped to understand this issue. Europe has become an unrecognizable, conquered continent over the past 10-15 years. They warned that Islam never goes from a Christian society to an Islamic society directly—there's an intermediary step of secularism.

A Christian continent becomes materialistic and secular, then Islamic. Europe decided to liberate women through feminism, which led to viewing marriage and family formation as oppressive. When women stopped having children, Europe needed workers for resorts, taxis, and service jobs, so they imported 50 million people from the Middle East.

Guilt is a major driver of left-wing politics. Christians should not walk around with guilt because of forgiveness through Christ, but secular people have no mechanism to absolve guilt. The only way they can do it is through left-wing actions: diversity, Black Lives Matter, transgender activism. Germany, hypnotized to believe they should always be guilty for what their grandparents did, exemplifies this problem.

Angela Merkel, secular and non-Christian, filled with guilt, imported tens of millions of Muslims who are raping German women and taking over the land because at least Germany won't be called Nazi. This is the strange death of Europe. America was heading in a similar direction with secularism, becoming less Christian, filled with guilt. The worst sin in America became being called a racist, worse than abandoning children or cheating on a spouse.

Kirk noted that Patterson, New Jersey's city council just went 100% Muslim and implemented elements of Sharia law. Muslims have a saying: "We'll destroy the Saturday people first and then we'll destroy the Sunday people." Saturday people are Jews and Sunday people are Christians. The genocidal acts of Islam in North Africa killing Christians is at one of the highest levels in the last 50 years, but most Americans don't know about it.

Mike Huckabee and the Ambassador to Israel Position

Governor Mike Huckabee is facing intense opposition to his appointment as ambassador to Israel. The Council for American Islamic Relations (CARE), the Muslim Brotherhood, the Democrat party, and liberal rabbis and Jews all oppose him. Their answer is the same: he's too pro-Bible, pro-Jesus, and has an overwhelming bias for Israel.

Kirk pointed out Huckabee isn't going to be ambassador for the Muslim Brotherhood or CARE or Pakistan or Iran. He's going to be ambassador to Israel. Trump appointed exactly the right person for the job. Huckabee is a born-again Bible-believing Christian, an ordained pastor who loves Israel and has made approximately 30 trips there.

Barack Obama's Fundamental Transformation

Five days before Barack Obama took office, he said, "We are only five days away from fundamentally transforming America." Hibbs noted that if someone wants to marry you but says you need to fundamentally change first, that relationship wouldn't work. Yet Obama was one of the most powerful presidents in American history—powerful in the negative.

Obama normalized LGBTQ ideology by putting the gay flag in embassies worldwide and on the White House. He normalized Islam. When speaking at Harvard, he demanded they drape the back of the speaking area because it contained woodwork glorifying God, Jesus Christ, and scripture. Obama could not have been elected without the white vote, yet as soon as he won, his party called white America racist.

Hibbs made a crucial point: if you voted for Barack Obama or Kamala Harris because of the color of their skin versus their qualifications, you're a racist. Satan wants people to live in a state of shame and guilt—he is the accuser. Christ changes this entirely. In a civilization that believes in Christ, people don't live by past mistakes but are born new in Christ. A forgiven nation doesn't have to constantly discuss slavery.

The left, like Satan, wants to hold people captive for something they might not have done or been connected to, keeping society in perpetual guilt and shame to make them easier to control. The only solution is to bring the entire country back to Christ, back to Jesus.

God's Sovereignty in Presidential Elections

Hibbs explained how God orchestrated events perfectly. Trump had four great years while fighting impeachments and FBI investigations. Then came the Biden years. Hibbs had to ask what America deserved as a nation because the Bible says God gives a nation the leaders they deserve. America deserved Kamala Harris based on the state of the nation.

But God is good. The second term is working out perfectly—it actually wouldn't have been as effective if Trump had eight consecutive years. The four years, then the bad four years, then the new four years is God's perfect timing. God doesn't care about feelings; He executes His will. The Bible says God establishes kings and removes kings.

On January 21, 2021, the day after Biden was installed as president, Turning Point USA held a Happening event. People asked if America was done, if it was over. At the time it looked dark—the border wide open, militaristic crackdown on dissidents. But Genesis 50:20 says what the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good. The opposition now regrets not letting Trump win in 2020 because now they have to deal with Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, Bobby Kennedy, Tulsi Gabbard, and JD Vance. Romans 8:28 reminds us God uses all things for good for those who love Him.

The Economic Reality Ahead

Hibbs warned that while politics is better, economic pain is coming. The market was down close to 400 points the day of this talk. America overspent badly as a country and must go through healing processes. Major financial institutions like JP Morgan and Stanley Druckenmiller say Trump is doing exactly the right thing, but people need to hang on because it's going to be rough before it gets better in about 10 months.

The border is shutting down and no new wars are starting. Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump had been in office—a million people would still be breathing. October 7, 2023 in Israel never would have happened. Babies will be saved as Trump moves to defund Planned Parenthood.

The Church's Critical Moment

But political revival in the nation is completely different than spiritual revival within the nation. Hibbs expressed his greatest concern: What will the church do with this freedom? What will pastors do with the word of God? For a hundred years, the church has leaned on government to take care of homelessness and social ills. The church should have never abandoned those positions.

God is asking what the church will do with this extension of grace. If pastors don't wake up and speak up, the midterm election results could leave Trump powerless in his last two years. If pastors think God will spare America just for political reasons, they don't know the God of the Bible or American history. The answer is the pulpit in America. What happens in America's pulpits is the next critical point.

A Harvest Waiting for Masculine Churches

Kirk sees a harvest waiting to happen but doesn't currently see pastors interested. Millions of young men are starving for truth and asking their local pastors to be pastors, not just someone giving TED talks with rock concerts while wearing skinny jeans. A church is more than organized parking and above-average coffee where you hear how great you are.

A feminine church affirms those who walk in. A biblical church, one that is masculine or at least presented as one, challenges those who walk in. These are two different things. Young men constantly tell Kirk they can't find a church near them. Young men drive five hours to Jack Hibbs' church, passing countless other churches on the way that aren't telling the truth or doing the right thing.

When presenting scripture, churches need to actively provoke the congregation to understand they need a savior. But you can't grasp what a savior is if you don't know what sin is. When a church doesn't preach about sin, how can people understand their need for salvation? The transcript ends mid-sentence with Kirk explaining this crucial point about the necessity of preaching about sin to understand the need for a savior.
