this is Charlie Kirk talking to someone
just recently on a campus in America
someone who's clearly very hostile to
Israel and uh here he gets quite
thoroughly uh schooled and and rebutted
by Charlie have a watch of this really
uh interesting conversation and then
I'll have some reaction to
it hey what's up J I was going to ask
you um you think that Israel should
displace the Palestinians from Palestine
to
Egypt and Jordan it's a tough question I
will say this guys I'm happy to do the
whole the whole afternoon on Israel but
let's try to get other questions but um
that's what I'm I'd just like to pause
by the way and say it's quite it's quite
funny and and you know it's I feel for
Charlie in a way that he's probably
trying to talk about all kinds of issues
related to America and people from both
the right and the left and the Islamic
side constantly come up to him to talk
about Israel and he's thinking I'm sure
many people would be like what is this
with this obsession with Israel why the
world is obsessed with Israel Taps into
much deeper spiritual realities and
mechanisms going on which I've touched
on in many videos um but that's not for
now but it's just a funny thing to know
anyway keep going I'm not blaming you
I'm the audience uh it's a difficult
question I don't know what the solution
is I don't so you think it's it's right
for them to say it's right I'm saying
the solution is very difficult because
the people of Gaza have shown that they
are incapable of self-government sure
incapable that when they are given
self-government it becomes a terrorist
hotbed and it becomes a nightmare for
the the Jewish people and War ensues so
I don't know what but my question here
is do you think it's ethnic cleansing
for to forcibly tell them to get out of
Gaza again I I'm not even saying I
support this is what this is what Trump
said I I know what Trump said I'm not
even saying that I think that's a good
idea I do want someone to tell me what
the solution is though cuz that's an
idea yes EG Egypt actually offered the
offered the solution but Trump
what would you say the solution is the
solution is to have an Arab Arab uh
state to govern them basically and for
Hamas not to be in control that's all
I'm saying right so we had something
close to that though for years where
Gaza was controlled by Hamas Gaza
democratically elected Hamas in two in
2006 that's correct but they weren't
able to democratically democratically
elect again after 2006 that's correct
got because the people liked it it's not
because people liked it is because they
didn't have any other choice but to do
we don't know you might be right I might
be right I think I'm right let me tell
you why okay why because when the
terrorists went and killed a bunch of
Jews on October 7th yes I know that a
lot of people were happy to see yes why
is that why is that because it didn't
start on October 7th it didn't start on
October 7th yeah but this this is so
this is where we're going to disagree
okay so I I look at things in the term
of right and wrong and just and unjust
not oppressor or oppressor
a more a different worldview that could
be on the left not saying you are would
say hey the people of Gaza I voted for
Trump by the way no no I'm not saying
yeah for sure great we just might not
agree on this issue the people of
Gaza some people would say hey it's been
a bubbling up problem we're going to
justify what's happening on October 7th
we look at that and we say it's never
acceptable to go and kidnap and to go
cut throats unprovoked unprompted it's
against international law and I believe
that Israel as well like were they they
did a lot of things that were against
international law as well well I I don't
quite know what that would mean but yeah
I mean war crimes such as such as mass
people yeah man it's just again I don't
want to keep going in circles but it's
like I can't see a single instance of
Israel going out of its way to kill
civilians you don't see a single
instance of what Israel going out of its
way to kill civilians I see Israel going
out of its way so you don't believe what
they've done is genocide no of course
not because all right let's let's get
our terms let's just go what is genocide
a genocide basically is basically Mass a
certain group be uh because of their
ethnicity race or culture or religion so
was October 7th a genocide it wasn't a
genocide no by your own definition yeah
yeah yeah let me tell you why let me
tell you why because the icj now is
investigating Israel they're not
investigating Hass for genocide if you
know that who the icj yeah the icj is
anti-israel hasband for a while oh okay
okay yeah sure sure they are why you say
that well because they're funded largely
by Arab funded by who by funded by who
Hamas like by Qatar and Saudi Arabia and
by very wealthy Gulf dictatorships but I
just want hold on you're trying to say
that Hamas was not investigated for what
happened on October 7th Hamas is not
being investigated by the icj of being
of of doing genocide yes that have you
watched the videos I have watched the
videos yeah I feel like did you see the
one where and when when they were
laughing you saw that one sure sure I
think I think I think Hames what they've
done was barbarism I think they're ter a
war crime I think I think I think Hames
is a terrorist group I really think they
are but that doesn't justify what Israel
has done so far that's all I'm saying
well again there's two two separate
things but everything Israel did was in
what October 7 you believe that that the
M for example is one of the one of the
biggest agencies in the world might
might be even better than the CIA right
yes and no I don't think they're nearly
as effec as people they are let me let
me let me just prove my point please so
what I'm trying to say here is that
basically the Mad knew about the attack
from Ham cuz they only had like Chinese
bicycles B bikes and stuff like that to
go in so what I think is that basically
the musab basically they knew about this
attack cuz Hamas basically is Israel's
biggest asset if Hamas wasn't there if
Hamas wasn't there they would have not
they would have not killed anybody so I
think I I just want to make sure I
understand your argument there's there
one part of the argument is asking did
Israel know and was there a standown
order I asked that question never gotten
an answer you're going a step further we
don't have proof we Pro and
hypothesizing that the Mad which is
their CIA wanted it to happen yes okay I
think that's insane why do you why do
you think it's insane so you think that
mad which are Jews wanted 1300 Jews to
die they they didn't know that 1300
people would die but they wanted to see
something so that they can be able to
actually attack Palestine got it so
we're we're just not going to agree
because you have a much lower view of
Jewish people than I do no I believe in
Israel's right to exist too I know but
but just to pause for one second I mean
if that's the case why would Israel have
left G in 2005 why would Israel desert
all these places I think wrongly by the
way but desert you know uh the the Sinai
among others because they're trying to
get peace so you're saying well now
they're having these attacks so they can
go back and take it back I'm sorry it
just it doesn't doesn't work with
Israel's prior actions is that the
Jewish leadership of Massad wanted P the
Gaz the Hamas to attack yes because what
I'm trying to tell you is that they had
homemade drones
too Hamas has homemade drones that they
use oh okay okay so how did how are they
not able to see all of that happening is
all I'm trying to
say well I mean first of all that part
of it is a legitimate question but
getting to as far as saying that must be
the case it's a big
leap it was a holy day sure right which
is very important it was Shabbat which
is is you know 90% of IDF troops aren't
there but let me just kind of close on a
moral question point then a question
number one Hamas did not go after
military targets they went after
civilian targets that's that's correct
inexcusable number two though that's
what they were able to put their hands
on let me ask you a question who do you
think there's a good guy or a bad guy in
the equation of Israel vers Hamas as of
who I'm asking which one do you think is
good bad better or worse I think I think
m is bad I think what what the Israel
government is doing is bad as well
that's why we don't have an agreement so
let me ask you just a hypothetical and I
don't mean to be interruptive sure what
should Israel have done in response to
1300 people in the most horrendous way
to Target Hamas members in a in a better
way to not m is a better way explain
what that looks like well there's a
reason why they have special forces
there's a reason why they have best
military there's a reason why they have
the best military equipment in the world
so that they' be able to Target Hamas
members that yeah but they did all of
that and so I just I never get a
concrete answer so what I just want is a
a I'm not going to defend everything
that every IDF soldier ever did but I
find it so interesting that everything
that Israel does gets so hyper examined
through this lens that no other country
ever gets held to the standard of ever
nobody does anything like
Israel you believe that with with
Palestine yeah you believe that no other
country does what Israel does with
Palestine
yeah really
yeah who else tell me you think that no
I want you to I want you to just pause
you think that from the African Civil
Wars has anybody done anything worse to
the to to the Palestinians more than the
Israel uh yeah yeah a lot of people have
actually like the interment camps
throughout China for the weager Muslims
or the Norther Korean open air
concentration camps well well basically
they didn't commit
genocide yeah it's they didn't want
ethnic cleansing let me just let me just
close with this this is not your your
name Yousef Yousef this is not your
fault but it is an intentional
provocation and I find it to be
repulsive not you but generally the
overuse of the word genocide because
when you keep on using genocide you're
basically trying to cheapen actual
genocides that have happened the last
100 years why would I have to cheapen it
I I I I I still believe that there are
the genocides that happen too so so you
you think so you think if I say want I
just want to make sure I understand this
you think that Israel's intentionally
trying to as many people of Gaza as
possible yes well they're not doing a
great job of it cuz the population keeps
on get going up well yeah they 50,000 so
far no not even since October 7th maybe
20,000 no but again how did you get your
information what 20,000 what well it's
again you want to fact check me you want
to you're you're getting too combative I
don't trust any of I don't trust any of
the numbers of the International
Community but if it was really their
goal to kill as many people of Gaza as
possible why doesn't Israel just bomb
and all right now because because
basically all the world is going to be
totally against it which they are but it
gets to a point that's all I'm trying to
say like how you want you want me to you
want to say that why wouldn't they just
knew Gaza is what you trying to say why
not because they' actually have tried
they have done their best to so there
are some facts they would they would be
able to they drop leaflets before they
bomb they do medical emergency surgeries
for people of Gaza every single day all
throughout Israel they are help they are
they are saving people's lives of Gaza
every day bomb churches too do you know
that yeah and I actually spoke out
against it yeah yeah and I don't know
you one time you've said that the Jews
that the Jews have never been ruled
peacefully under the Arab rule well I
asked I asked for an example of that yes
yeah there are a couple okay I again I
think the Jews in this audience wouldn't
trust Muslims to govern them I'm I'm
saying in the Ottoman Empire you trust
Muslims to govern wait I'm saying in the
Ottoman Empire uh andal Empire from the
I I I would not point to the otoman
Empire as being a don't cut me off
please I'm saying I'm saying that Andel
from the 8th to 12th centuries they say
four centuries they say four centuries
in peace it was actually called the
Golden Age of the Jews did you know that
Charlie uh well actually the Jews were
in Exile during that time weren't they
wasn't wer weren't they in Babylonia and
that's when the Babylonian T was WR when
took control they basically welcomed the
Jews for four centuries you can look up
yeah but they were they were not in
Israel were they not in Israel but ask
how could it be the Golden Age of the
Jews if they weren't in Israel
they that's what they called it is what
I'm trying to say that's what the
Muslims called it no no no listen listen
listen cuz you what you said what you
said is basically that they never lived
in peace under the AR I'm I actually I
asked a question I said can you point to
an example I just pointed it out to you
right now I I I find it to be completely
lackluster it's just not true but was
there no peace to the Jews in Andel ire
is what you're trying to say no I I
again I don't want to go back into like
8th Century history that's what you
asked you asked a broad question I
didn't ask you that was a video like a
couple weeks ago but but I no I would
not say the Ottoman Empire was an
example of Peace but I just I just want
to be if Israel laid down all of its
weapons what would happen if Israel
would lay down all of its weapons I I've
heard what you said you said that
basically that Hamas members will
basically take control of Israel or or
the Arab world would right the Arab
world wouldn't why would the Arab world
would why did they do it on the Six Day
War why would they do it on the yamap
war the sixth day war you talk about the
sixth day war when Israel basically
attacked
Egypt no they were attacked provoked by
you I it's it's like I just let me just
pause I want to get to another question
but I have to say something and it's
this is what's disappointing it's it's
okay's he's being he's coming in good
faith I I have never been more
pessimistic that this problem will ever
be solved not because of you but because
there's just two different realities
when it comes to this and you cannot
solve a problem when one side has a
completely different telling of History
than the other and that's fine I'm not
trying to attack you think what I'm
saying what I'm saying about history is
wrong but theut yes but I don't want to
dwell on that but more me though again
more importantly than that okay is that
the other side has a completely
different view of it so I don't even
know how we can reconcile this there are
extremists on both sides that's what I'm
trying to tell well here that's the
problem there might be for me personally
I'm Arab and and I still believe in
Israel's right to exist but there I'm
glad I'm glad to hear that I I say there
are extremists on the isra Israeli side
I think all of Hamas is Extreme so I I I
don't even want to say we're going to
agree to disagree I I don't even I don't
even know what planet you're coming from
for this stuff I think that I I just say
that what stuff for what stuff you think
what all I just just the idea that you
you would even entertain the idea that
that Jews could live peacefully under
Muslims that that you're looking at a
two-state solution it's fine I'm not
trying to by the way just to pause for a
second just to be clear about this yes
in some periods of Islamic rule let's
say in the Ottoman Empire Jews may have
fed somewhat better than they did under
under Christian rules but to say that it
was great is ridiculous okay they still
had were second class citizens they
still had to play you know pay the the
jiz attx um there was still though
occasional there were pgrs literal
murders blood lials Force conversions
especially in the later years of the
Empire um they faced all kind of
restrictions on job opportunity
testimony in courts um even facing
restrictions on on things like clothing
they were very much second class
citizens there's also been times when
Jews faced extremely uh bloody massacres
from Islamic rulers and persecutors so
let's just be clear that the notion that
Jews they'll be absolutely fine under
Islamic rule
is you would be clearly holding the Jews
in contempt if you genuinely believe
that
and I think this guy by the way
really he seems to me that's why Charlie
seems to be having a bit of uh you know
he said at the start you know I'm not
blaming you for this it seems to me he's
more just been conditioned to think
these things rather than have really
thought it through objectively anyway
let's finish the video there I'll give
you some final thoughts criticize you I
just I just don't I do you think that do
you in which country is more has that
looks more like American values Israel
or the Palestinian Authority I think as
I think Israel yeah okay yeah and so you
say a two-state solution what what in
conclusion would that look like that
would that would conclude that the
Palestine would have uh the right to
exist and they would have uh the right
to govern themselves and that why can't
they be part of Jordan why would they be
a part of Jordan what what is the
national identity of Palestine educate
me Palestinians what what what is that
like what do you mean what is that yeah
what What ethnicity are they Arabs
okay so all Arabs are
Palestinians no but they are Arabs what
you trying to say what is your point I'm
trying to say because at what point does
somebody become a Palestinian when he
was born in Palestine or with his
parents are Palestinians again this is
why we're talking past each other what
what you trying to say I don't think the
place exists what cuz it Doesn't it's
called Judea and Samaria it's not called
paltin you don't believe that palan have
the right to exist no everyone has a
right to exist show me where it is I it
it it's it's it's a it's a non-existent
place okay yeah that's I don't think
we're going to that's why we're on
different planets right so here in
closing with this I find it very hard to
sympathize at all with a group that
decided to attack another civilian force
of babies and girls and go to a concert
and keep them with hostages and then
play the victim instead of playing the
victim they never should have attacked
Israel in the first place 7th you're
talking about October 7th of course I am
but it didn't H but it didn't start on
October 7th that's what I'm trying to
tell you you see we have a different
reading1 war 2014 yes of course there
were little skirmishes but it's
ridiculous look the Hamas it's it's
inevitable that they do all this no it's
not every war he talks about everything
that the Palestinian side lament all
those previous Wars security checkpoints
displacement were caused because they
chose to war against to go to war
against the Jews not because the Jews
provoked them they were trying to kill
the Jews even before there was in Israel
you see we have a different reading1 war
2014 of course there were little
skirmishes but nothing there weren't
skirmishes they elevated this to such a
level they invited they invited the
Israel response to a level they knew
what was going to happen and and now
they're complaining about it I'm sorry
what Hames did was wrong I believe what
Hames did was wrong and they were they
were I'm not going to listen to your
complaints when you go and mask
civilians and women thank you for your
time I appreciate it so the thing I want
to reflect on because Charlie made a lot
of points covered a lot of ground there
um it's just a couple points a couple
things um the first thing is that the
one thing I would pick up Charlie on is
he he was critical of Israel in this
church that I think it sounded like got
slightly damaged um when Israel was
retaliating in Gaza and he went out
against Israel and said how are you
doing this and then the idef responded
saying because there were there was
Hamas targets there and we know and
Charlie knows full well that Hamas
among um you know religious buildings
civilian buildings schools
hospitals does he have any idea about
the amount of I mean forget uh mosque or
churches synagogues and ancient
synagogues that have been damaged in
Israel's Wars or destroyed in Israel's
Wars and I thought it was
quite it was very poor
form of Charlie to go out just start at
the start of Israel's war given his
level of platform
to uh criticize Israel about this you
know for hitting the or damaging this
church slightly um I don't think it was
massively damaged in the end but I think
it was slightly
damaged and it's like he had no context
about why Israel was going in there he
didn't bother to get his information
first and it seemed to me like he was
kind of appeasing an anti a growing
anti-israel right-wing Grassroots
base now I say that because of course
we're seeing here and we've subsequently
and
previously seen Charlie be really really
articulate when it comes to the defense
of Israel and the Jewish people and I
could see him here getting so frustrated
it's clear he wants to be talking about
all kinds of
topics and I think it looks to me like
he's starting to come back to planet
Earth come back to the
realization that the criticis of Israel
is based on
illogical
Prejudice and you can see that he's
clearly clearly realizing that and it's
good to see that he's come back to
um just being very clear on that rather
than trying to appease any base that is
you know
just saying things because they are
hostile to Israel on an ideological
basis rather than
an objective basis so credit where
credits due to Charlie he's a really
articulate defender of much of Israel's
calls and while I might not agree with
him on every point so much of what he
said here I think is true and fair and
he's really doing a really really good
job of making the case for uh Israel and
certainly for why there is zero Merit to
anything within the Palestinian cause
