Gary Melton Exposes Major Discrepancies in Candace Owens' Mitch Snow Fort Huachuca Military Police Report
Independent journalist Gary Melton uncovers significant inconsistencies in a military police report shared by Candace Owens regarding Mitch Snow's alleged incident at Fort Huachuca. Through detailed analysis, Melton identifies problematic discrepancies in license plate formats, driver's license numbers, and timeline inconsistencies that raise serious questions about the report's authenticity. After speaking with multiple sources, including former family members of Snow, Melton reveals a pattern of deception spanning decades. Melton documents his attempts to verify the report with Fort Huachuca military police and announces upcoming evidence that will further expose what he describes as Snow's history as a pathological liar, including proof that Snow was never in witness protection and only changed his name in 2010.
Gary Melton begins by examining a military police report that Candace Owens shared as proof of Mitch Snow's presence at Fort Huachuca. The report, dated December 9, 2025, at 11:17, details how the Fort Huachuca Military Police Station was notified by Daniel Head (CW2 JTF, SWB) of a suspicious individual at the Southwest Border Mission Headquarters, building 70525. Officers Navaro, Johnson (badge 220), and Sergeant McCaslin (badge 200) were dispatched to the scene.
According to the report, CW2 David Head stated that an individual entered the building with a backpack, making concerning comments. The backpack was removed and placed outside on the north side of the building before police were called. Sergeant McCaslin requested a K9 unit to sniff the bag and a gray Chevy Equinox with California plate 9MN66 for explosives.
The individual was identified as Michael Snow, a retired civilian, based on his Washington state driver's license number W06355DD13B. Snow claimed he worked in the joint task force in the 1980s while in the army and stated he was threatened by cartels and needed to speak with someone about it. Investigators Almost and Carlson arrived, evacuated the building, and secured the entrances. K9 specialist Hayes conducted sniffs on the backpack, the vehicle, and the building with negative findings. Snow was then transported to the MPI office for further investigation.
Critical Discrepancies Discovered
Melton identifies several major problems with the report. First, he used AI tools to verify the license plate format. According to both Grok and ChatGPT, 9MN66 is not a legitimate California license plate format. Additionally, the Washington state driver's license number W06355DD13B does not match legitimate Washington state driver's license formatting, whether the character is interpreted as "whiskey zero" or "whiskey O."
Melton acknowledges that AI is not always correct and plans to conduct further research. However, he emphasizes that these inconsistencies warrant serious scrutiny.
Timeline Problems
A significant discrepancy involves the timeline. In Candace Owens' video, she stated the event occurred around 7:37 or 7:45. However, the report indicates that at 11:17, Fort Huachuca military police were notified by Daniel Head. According to the narrative, only minutes passed between when the backpack was taken away and when the police station was called.
Melton argues that if the report is legitimate, it makes no sense that three hours or more would have passed between the initial incident and the police being notified. This timeline inconsistency significantly undermines the report's credibility.
Additional Irregularities
Melton notes that the report contains transposed building numbers (70525 versus 75025), which he suggests could be simple typos. However, he finds it extremely unusual that the document appears to be a photograph of a computer screen rather than an official exported report. As someone who filled out military reports many times during his service, Melton explains that he never stopped in the middle of a report to take a picture of it before submitting it.
Calling Fort Huachuca for Verification
Melton attempted to verify the report by calling Fort Huachuca military police. He recorded the call, which he considered playing for his audience. During the first call, Sergeant Johnson hung up on him. When Melton called back, he stated he was an independent journalist investigating an incident from September 9th. The sergeant refused to provide any information, stating that while such reports should be public, they were not releasing any details. The sergeant directed Melton to contact the Public Affairs Office (PAO), which was closed for the holidays. Melton plans to follow up after the holidays.
Double Standards and Objectivity
Melton poses a hypothetical question: if Turning Point USA had released a report with similar discrepancies, how would Candace Owens' supporters react? He suggests they would treat minor inconsistencies as proof of a massive conspiracy.
Melton provides examples of how the "Candace crowd" has amplified minor discrepancies in Turning Point USA statements. He references Rob McCoy, who stated that his son Mikey McCoy had blood all over him. According to Melton, Mikey later clarified that he told his father there was blood everywhere at the scene, which Rob interpreted as Mikey being covered in blood. Mikey stated he hadn't spoken to his father in two weeks and that someone must have sent Rob clips about the situation. Melton argues this demonstrates miscommunication rather than conspiracy, especially since Mikey appeared on television without blood on him.
Melton acknowledges that the Fort Huachuca report may be legitimate despite its problems. Perhaps the discrepancies resulted from a private taking down incorrect information or simple typos. However, he emphasizes that if Turning Point USA had released something similar, critics would immediately declare it proof of intentional deception.
Mitch Snow: A Pattern of Deception
Melton states with certainty that Candace Owens has been duped by Mitch Snow, whom he describes as a pathological liar who has left a wake of destruction. Melton spoke with a family member who broke down crying after hearing Snow's name. He references multiple court cases and podcast appearances where Snow's stories contain discrepancies from one episode to another.
Melton confirms without doubt that Snow was never in witness protection. He interviewed Snow's wife from 1990 to 1994, who had no knowledge of witness protection or cartels threatening her husband. He also spoke with Snow's wife from 1995 to 1999, who similarly never heard about cartels or witness protection. According to Melton's research, Snow did not change his name until 2010 when he married someone else.
Upcoming Evidence
Melton announces that proof of Snow's deception will be released on Friday and Saturday. Nate will present evidence on Friday, including eyewitness testimony from people extremely close to the case. Melton will follow up with additional information on Saturday. These individuals will share their stories about Snow's pattern of lies and manipulation.
