Jeremy Boreing Admits He's Obsessed, But Not With What Candace Owens Claims

Jeremy Boreing addressed Candace Owens' accusation that he's obsessed with her, acknowledging the claim but reframing it entirely. Following his conversation with Blake Neff about conspiracy theories surrounding Charlie Kirk's assassination, Boreing explained what truly drives him: fighting evil within the conservative movement, particularly when it exploits tragedy for profit. He defended his past legal disputes with Owens, expressed regret for not pursuing them more aggressively, and declared his commitment to opposing those who lie in the name of God and truth, regardless of the personal cost.

Blake Neff on Conspiracy Theories and Free Speech

Jeremy Boreing opened by discussing his recent conversation with Blake Neff, producer of the Charlie Kirk Show. Blake, whom Charlie used to call "Blake GPT," worked closely with Charlie and helped him become one of the most effective voices in conservative media. Blake was present at UVU last September, participated in the infamous Zoom call with a Jewish rabbi before Charlie's murder, and stood twenty feet away when the gunman took Charlie's life.

On Boreing's show, Blake expressed frustration and outrage with conspiracy theorists profiting from Charlie's assassination while harassing his friends, Turning Point USA, and his widow Erika. Blake, a free speech maximalist who has never called for suppressing anyone's right to expression, observed that all freedoms carry consequences. While a free society might work to mitigate the worst outcomes, accepting these consequences remains the price of freedom itself.

Blake noted that one consequence of free speech is that bad people will say bad things and sometimes lie to advance their interests. However, he distinguished between a healthy country and a healthy political movement—the latter must establish and enforce standards for its own boundaries. You may be free in America to embrace democratic socialism, Blake explained, but you cannot hold those beliefs and simultaneously lead the Republican Party.

Tucker Carlson's Public Attack on Blake

Following Blake's appearance, Tucker Carlson publicly maligned him. Blake was reluctant to respond because loyalty is an important virtue to him, but he recognized that loyalty to any individual must remain subordinate to loyalty to truth. Boreing noted how painful it was for Blake to address Tucker's moral failures, especially given Blake's admiration for him. Yet Blake felt morally justified—even morally required—to defend Charlie, Erika, and TPUSA against Tucker's lies and the lies of those appearing on his show.

Candace Owens: The Queen of the Grift Industrial Project

Unlike Tucker, Blake owed no loyalty to Candace Owens. Boreing described Owens as "the queen of the grift industrial project" and the loudest liar sowing discord and deception following Charlie's murder. Blake reserved most of his righteous indignation for her, particularly because she wants Charlie's killer to go free—a terrible position that Blake rightfully opposed.

Boreing suggested that many people struggle to accept just how comfortable Owens is with lying, since most never encounter someone in their own lives with her utter disregard for truth. Even those who recognize the evil she's doing may think she simply believes what she says and is merely wrong. But according to Boreing, she doesn't believe it—she just lies for fame, money, to satisfy deep grudges, and to cause others pain.

If you find yourself persuaded by Owens' stories—that Charlie was killed by a state actor, that his microphone exploded, that Erika Kirk is covering up her husband's murder, or that Charlie never knew true love—Boreing said he understands. Owens is far better at selling lies than most people are at seeing the truth. Evil, he noted, gets all sorts of advantages in the world. While Christ may be king, as Christ himself said, the devil is the ruler of the world.

Small Lies Reveal Bigger Ones

For those who know Owens, Boreing said, the ease with which she lies about even small things is evident. He cited the story of George Farmer's DUI as an example—not because Owens' husband made a mistake (everyone does, and family isn't usually fair game), but because of Owens' lies about it. She publicly claimed it was a different George Farmer, but it wasn't. She said it was "categorically false" that her family owns the black TRX pickup truck, but Boreing has seen George in that truck many times, and his business partner even rode in it with George. To borrow from Owens herself, Boreing said, someone who lies about little things lies about big things.

Past Legal Disputes and Regrets

Boreing acknowledged that he pursued legal claims against Owens in the past to hold her accountable to her legal obligations, and given the chance, he would do so again. When he left The DailyWire+, the company was in active arbitration with Owens. After his departure, Ben Shapiro and Caleb Robinson apparently decided to drop or settle the dispute—their right, though Boreing didn't know what facts they were dealing with at the time. He almost certainly would have pressed Owens to the fullest extent of the law if he had remained CEO.

Why? Because Owens flouts her contractual obligations, breaks her word, and violates her agreements—which Boreing views as a form of theft, since taking money in exchange for something and then not doing what you agreed to do is stealing. He admitted he backed down from a fight with Owens once before and remains ashamed of it. He has always said that cowardice gets your friends killed. If he had pursued what was right when he first fired her, perhaps she wouldn't have been able to bring so much suffering and destruction on Erika Kirk and other innocent people.

Charlie Kirk also allowed his fear of Owens harming TPUSA to prevent him from dealing with her, Boreing noted. Now Charlie's friends and wife have to face her instead. If Boreing had remained CEO of The DailyWire+, he wouldn't have made that mistake twice. And if Charlie could see what Owens has done to his bride since his death, Boreing believes he would have done anything in his power to defeat her while he was alive.

Admitting Obsession—But Reframing It

Boreing then turned to the one claim Owens has made about him that's absolutely true: that he's obsessed with her. He found it hilarious that a woman who made millions of dollars exploiting her so-called friend's assassination in every single podcast episode for a year would accuse someone else of obsession. He compared her tactic to the left's transgender playbook—"Why are you so obsessed with children's genitals?"—noting that Owens and her ilk borrow a lot from the left these days, including an increasing disdain for the country.

But Boreing admitted the fact of the matter: he is obsessed. He's obsessed with fighting evil, particularly evil within his own movement, since you can't long defeat the evil without until you deal with the evil within. And he's obsessed with fighting evil done in the name of God and truth because he sees it dragging so many decent people down the road to hell.

The Purpose of His Podcast

Owens has said that Boreing's podcast is fake because it only exists to attack her. Boreing denied this, saying he never wanted a podcast in the first place. He's not today where he hoped to be yesterday or where he hopes to be tomorrow. He's just a "lowly razor salesman" who happened to build a company that generated over a billion dollars in revenue during his decade cosplaying as a corporate CEO—as Owens put it—and who currently has the number one fantasy series in the country on Prime Video.

But for as long as he has a podcast, a company, or even just a voice, Boreing vowed he will fight against what Candace Owens represents. Fighting against liars, slanderers, and blasphemers is both a privilege and a requirement. It is, to borrow from Blake Neff, the price of freedom.
