[00:04] what between Candace Owens and Erica

[00:06] Kirk has been heating up that I would

[00:08] have something to say on it in the

[00:10] coming days and I do. Um it's been going

[00:13] on now for a while where Candace I had

[00:17] that exchange with Ben Shapiro out on

[00:19] the tour where he said she'd accused

[00:20] Erica of orchestrating Charlie's murder

[00:23] and I was taken aback. I had not heard

[00:25] that. And then in the interim between

[00:27] that day and the next, I had my staff go

[00:30] research exactly what she had said. And

[00:33] then somebody just happened to ask me a

[00:34] question about it. Truly was not that

[00:37] was totally organic. I that was not a

[00:38] plant um by me at all, but somebody

[00:42] asked me about it the very next night.

[00:43] And I actually told them because I'd

[00:45] been planning on saying something on the

[00:46] show since Ben had made the accusation.

[00:48] And if it was not true, I did not want

[00:50] to be having something that heavy

[00:52] hanging out there. Um, someone asked

[00:55] about it and I said, "That's actually

[00:57] not true." And at that time it was not

[00:59] true. Candace had not accused Erica of

[01:01] orchestrating Charlie's murder. Um, and

[01:04] I've gotten a lot of grief for saying

[01:05] that, but I was correct. We're we are

[01:08] relentlessly factual here on this

[01:09] program. And she had not done that at

[01:11] the time. As I pointed out at the time,

[01:13] she had impuged Turning Point. And I

[01:15] realize Erica is CEO, but she wasn't

[01:17] until after Charlie died. Um, so you

[01:21] know, saying the guys at Turning Point

[01:22] had done something prior to Charlie's

[01:24] death is not the same as saying Erica

[01:26] Kirk.

[01:28] Okay, I'm sorry. It may seem to you like

[01:31] a distinction without a difference, but

[01:32] we really do care about facts, being

[01:34] precise here on the program. We don't

[01:36] always get it right, but that's a big

[01:37] one to get wrong. Well, since then,

[01:41] Candace has

[01:44] been more focused on Erica Kirk, and I

[01:47] think that's because Erica Kirk went on

[01:49] a media tour and started clearly

[01:51] speaking out about Candace. And so, you

[01:54] know, it was it turned into a rather

[01:56] explosive situation last week where

[01:59] Erica went on with Harris Faulner on Fox

[02:03] News and said very clearly she wants

[02:06] these quote conspiracy theories to stop,

[02:09] especially about Turning Point USA,

[02:11] which she called her Turning Point

[02:12] family. And she was clearly upset. You

[02:15] know, we played the sound bite for you.

[02:17] She was clearly, you know, she's had it.

[02:19] And then um she went on with Barry Weiss

[02:23] on CBS for a town hall. They had aired

[02:25] the preview sought and then the actual

[02:27] exchange aired on Saturday night with

[02:29] with Barry where um Erica told Candace

[02:34] to just stop. Okay. She just said, "I

[02:36] want you to stop." Actually, we'll uh

[02:38] we'll play that. Let's play the sound

[02:40] right here.

[02:41] >> The podcaster Candace Owens. Okay. at

[02:45] one time a friend of Charlie's, at one

[02:47] time an employee of Turning Point. She

[02:50] has been one of the main peddlers of

[02:51] these conspiracies and she is making a

[02:54] huge amount of money on it. She is

[02:55] building her business off of these lies.

[02:59] What do you want to say to her and the

[03:02] other people that are putting these lies

[03:05] out into the world right now? Stop.

[03:10] That's it. That's all I have to say.

[03:19] play on words, if you will, because

[03:21] Candace, when she had started down the

[03:23] turning point narrative,

[03:25] had said, "Only my husband or Erica Kirk

[03:28] can tell me to stop this and you know,

[03:31] like one word from Erica will stop

[03:32] this." And Erica didn't say anything

[03:35] about this. She hasn't really been

[03:36] commenting on podcasts and so on, but

[03:39] she did, as you saw in that clip, say

[03:43] stop. And [clears throat] it was it was

[03:47] not taken as the command to stop. Um I

[03:51] think Candace felt she was saying stop

[03:54] lying. And Candace her defense was she's

[03:56] not lying. She's actually trying to do

[03:58] an investigation into the true killer of

[04:01] Charlie Kirk. I've said before and I

[04:03] will say again, I think they they have

[04:05] the true killer of Charlie Kirk. His

[04:06] name is Tyler Robinson. He's in custody.

[04:09] And I have every reason to believe that

[04:11] he committed this murder. Many people

[04:13] disagree with me. Many people believe

[04:16] there's more to this story, that we're

[04:17] being lied to by our FBI, that there are

[04:19] too many inconsistencies around the

[04:21] official story. And those people are

[04:23] more than entitled to that belief. I

[04:25] don't share it. That's fine. This is

[04:27] America. You can feel differently about

[04:29] these things. But with things ratcheting

[04:32] up between Erica and Candace last week,

[04:35] many people had been asking me, "Why

[04:37] aren't you saying anything?" Obviously,

[04:39] I love Erica Kirk. I do. I love her. Um,

[04:43] and I feel, as I said on the tour,

[04:46] protective of her because she's in an

[04:48] extremely vulnerable state right now.

[04:51] Yes, she's taken on the CEO position of

[04:53] turning point. And you know, you you

[04:56] it's a fair question to ask whether

[04:57] that's a job she can do right now while

[04:59] she's at the height of her grieving.

[05:01] That's I I take no position on that. I

[05:03] think she's doing fine, but I also think

[05:05] it's fair. You can ask that. Um so I

[05:09] don't I don't like to see her get

[05:10] attacked at all. And um I wish that

[05:14] would stop. And I to be honest, I I wish

[05:16] Candace wouldn't be pursuing the Turning

[05:17] Point narrative at all. Never mind

[05:21] Erica, though. Again, she hasn't

[05:24] graduated to blaming Erica for Charlie's

[05:26] murder. She's criticizing her and the

[05:29] media tour. And that's that is fair

[05:31] game. That piece of it is fair game. So,

[05:33] in any event, Candace knows I disagree

[05:35] with her on this. Petty internet people

[05:38] want to turn that into a cat fight

[05:39] between Candace and yours truly, which

[05:42] will fail. She and I actually have only

[05:44] gotten closer over the past couple of

[05:46] months as people try to make me attack

[05:49] her. So, off. Okay. I have no

[05:52] obligation to you to hate the people you

[05:54] hate or try to bring down the people you

[05:56] want brought down. I I'm sorry, but if

[05:59] that's what you want from me, you do

[06:01] need to move on. It's not going to

[06:03] happen. Um, and I've learned a lot

[06:06] behind the scenes from Candace about

[06:08] some of the things she's been put

[06:09] through from people I used to respect.

[06:14] I also though adore and love Erica and I

[06:17] so I I want this to stop. I do. Of

[06:19] course, none of this is a mystery to

[06:21] Erica or to Candace. And a couple of

[06:24] weeks ago, Erica called me

[06:29] and I'm It's relevant to the meeting

[06:31] they just had, okay? So, I'm I'm going

[06:33] to get into this. Those two had a sit

[06:35] down meeting yesterday for 4 and a half

[06:36] hours. Erica and Candace alone. Well, I

[06:40] think they had two other people with

[06:41] him, but those were the two principles.

[06:43] Um and they met face tof face in

[06:46] Nashville yesterday. No recording

[06:49] devices, nothing, just the two of them.

[06:52] And again, each had a supporter. Um

[06:55] someone from their own respective teams.

[06:57] I'll let them disclose the specifics of

[06:59] that, but they made a lot of progress

[07:01] according to them. And this is what they

[07:03] tweeted out yesterday after the meeting.

[07:05] Candace said, "Erica and I wrote an

[07:08] extremely productive 4 and a half hour

[07:10] meeting that I think we both feel should

[07:12] have taken place a lot earlier than it

[07:14] did. We agreed much more than I had

[07:16] anticipated. Of course, we also

[07:18] disagreed on various points and people

[07:20] as well. Most importantly, we were able

[07:22] to share intel and clarify intent. I

[07:25] will of course have a full rundown for

[07:26] you all tomorrow as I am currently

[07:28] exhausted, but I wanted to quickly let

[07:30] you guys know that absolutely nothing

[07:31] was held back and the immediate result

[07:33] was that tensions were thawed. That's

[07:36] very good. Erica posted something 10

[07:39] minutes later writing had a very

[07:42] productive conversation with Candace

[07:44] Owens. More to come from both of us.

[08:07] wondering why I haven't said anything

[08:09] given my previous statements about

[08:11] Erica. And the reason is that I have

[08:16] been working behind the scenes to try to

[08:19] foster a day between them. Erica called

[08:23] me weeks ago and asked me if I would be

[08:27] part of this sitdown with them, which

[08:32] originally they had contemplated might

[08:35] be for consumption by the public, might

[08:39] air in some way, shape or form. and

[08:42] asked if I would facilitate that meeting

[08:45] between the two of them. And I said,

[08:47] "Yes, immediately, of course, I would."

[08:49] I reached out to Candace. She said,

[08:51] "Absolutely. I'm thrilled it's you. I'm

[08:54] in." And the two of them took it from

[08:57] there, trying to negotiate the specifics

[08:59] of what they'd both be comfortable with,

[09:01] where, when, etc. And eventually it

[09:06] changed after they hit some roadblocks.

[09:08] Again, that's that's for someone else to

[09:10] tell you about if they so choose. Um,

[09:14] not having anything to do with yours

[09:15] truly, but it's some road roadblocks in

[09:17] scheduling and the specifics that led

[09:21] them to just say, "Let's do this

[09:22] privately, not not on camera, not in a

[09:25] live stream, just us." Um, and I thought

[09:29] that was a great idea and I fully

[09:31] support it and I have been in touch with

[09:33] both of them repeatedly. Okay, so

[09:36] that's what I've been doing. And I

[09:39] understand my core audience knows who I

[09:41] am and would never have assumed the

[09:43] worst about me that I was just

[09:45] abandoning Erica or getting ready to

[09:48] pounce on Candace and, you know, insert

[09:50] myself into this on one side. I I'm not

[09:52] getting ready to do to do that and I

[09:54] don't want that. I don't think that's

[09:56] God's role for me here. I really fully

[09:59] believe God's role for me here is to

[10:02] possibly play a role in getting this

[10:05] whole thing to a better place. I think I

[10:08] might be in a position to help construct

[10:11] that. Maybe, maybe not. But sitting here

[10:15] in my studio in Connecticut just

[10:17] slinging mud at one side or the other or

[10:21] tearing people down or, you know,

[10:23] expressing my disgust, my outrage. That

[10:26] is pointless here. My goal and my job

[10:29] here, I think, is to try to understand,

[10:33] yes, where Candace is coming from on

[10:35] this. I know you're not supposed to say

[10:37] you're supposed to just un you

[10:38] immediately condemn her, but I love the

[10:41] turning point, guys. And I don't believe

[10:42] for one second any of them had anything

[10:44] to do with Charlie's murder. Not for one

[10:46] second do I believe that. So people who

[10:50] care about Candace and love Erica have

[10:53] been in a tough position as this whole

[10:55] thing is escalated and care about

[10:57] Turning Point, which I deeply do and I

[10:59] will make sure that their legacy is not

[11:01] destroyed. and I will do everything

[11:03] within my power to help them thrive,

[11:06] including supporting my own kids in

[11:07] forming a Turning Point chapter and

[11:10] going out to Amfest and helping headline

[11:12] that event and encouraging everyone I

[11:14] know within the conservative movement to

[11:16] go and support them and to donate. So,

[11:18] that's where I am. But that doesn't mean

[11:21] I need to sling mud at somebody who sees

[11:23] it differently than I do. And it

[11:26] especially doesn't mean I should remove

[11:28] myself from a position that I think few

[11:30] hold where

[11:33] I might be able to actually help this

[11:36] thing go away if I can or at least get

[11:39] to a better place. All right, just at

[11:41] least get to a better place. Not just

[11:43] for them. I don't think this is good for

[11:45] anybody's mental health, but for

[11:48] America, you know, for our country and

[11:51] definitely for the conservative

[11:52] movement. Um, there are so many

[11:56] really important battles that we're

[11:58] going to have to fight together against

[11:59] the radical left. And if there's any way

[12:03] that strain of argument and contention

[12:07] can be dissipated, can be managed to a

[12:10] place where it's not quite as

[12:14] upsetting,

[12:15] awful, tough on a lot of people I love,

[12:19] then I would like to be to be that

[12:21] person if I can. This isn't about me.

[12:23] It's totally not about me. It's about

[12:24] those two and I commend both of them. I

[12:27] mean, honestly, like that took a lot of

[12:30] guts

[12:31] for both of them. Erica is grieving.

[12:34] Erica was away all week on the road

[12:37] promoting Charlie's book. She just did.

[12:39] I know people have given her blowback on

[12:41] the press tour. She committed to the

[12:43] stops that Charlie committed to. She is

[12:46] truly trying to fulfill Charlie's legacy

[12:48] and promise on his book. It's not easy

[12:52] for her. People say, "Oh, she's loving

[12:53] it." She's not loving it. She'd rather

[12:55] be home with her babies because she is

[12:57] now a single mother. She's got a

[12:59] three-year-old and a one-year-old who

[13:00] need her back at home. Not to mention

[13:02] Turning Point. And it took guts for

[13:06] Candace to go too. Let's face it. You

[13:08] know, she's been ripping on Turning

[13:09] Point when an organization that Charlie

[13:11] built that Erica is running mercilessly

[13:13] for weeks now. and she'd been coming

[13:17] under fire for not accepting the invite

[13:20] of the Turning Point guys to join their

[13:22] live stream which was supposed to take

[13:23] place yesterday responding to her claims

[13:26] and then you know the the big kahuna the

[13:29] CEO Erica Kirk herself and Charlie's

[13:32] widow she's got a couple of roles in

[13:34] this whole story reaches out to her and

[13:37] says I will come sit with you directly

[13:40] and so you know she could have run for

[13:41] that from that she could have found

[13:43] 10,000 excuses not to do

[13:45] you know, I'm just happy to sit here on

[13:46] my set and hurl allegations without

[13:48] saying them to your face. She didn't.

[13:52] She She They sat for four plus hours

[13:54] yesterday. So, I'll let them take it

[13:57] from here, but I wanted to tell you what

[14:01] my role in it has been. And I'll just

[14:04] say this final thing to the hateful

[14:07] people whom I used to call friends who

[14:10] have been all over the internet trying

[14:12] to shame me and say that no one should

[14:14] ever listen to this program again

[14:16] because I haven't spoken out on the

[14:18] Erica Candace conflict. Um there's no I

[14:23] don't have any pearls of wisdom other

[14:25] than go yourselves. Go
