Pastor Jack Hibbs Explains Why Christians Must Understand the Great Reset and Its Biblical Implications
Pastor Jack Hibbs breaks down the great reset and its connection to biblical prophecy in this compelling discussion with Erick Stakelbeck. From digital currency and digital ID to the rise of globalism, Hibbs explains how current world events align with end-times scripture and why a leaderless world is setting the stage for what the Bible predicted. Rather than instilling fear, this conversation offers hope through Revival and encourages believers to understand these times through a biblical worldview. Hibbs explores passages from Ezekiel and Zechariah while connecting America's founding covenant to the possibility of spiritual awakening in our time.
Understanding the Great Reset Through Biblical Prophecy
Erick Stakelbeck sits down with Pastor Jack Hibbs, senior and founding pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, to examine the great reset and its biblical significance. Hibbs, host of Real Life with Jack Hibbs and author of the book Countdown, provides insights into how digital currency, digital ID systems, and the push toward globalization align with end-times prophecy.
The conversation addresses a critical observation: with today's technology, if one leader were to emerge, controlling the entire world would be significantly easier than at any other point in history. Hibbs frames this reality within the context of biblical prophecy, offering believers a roadmap for understanding current events.
A Leaderless World Creating Conditions for Global Change
Hibbs points to a striking reality facing the world today—it is currently leaderless. Disruption is happening across the globe, particularly in the Middle East and Israel where civil unrest and challenges to government authority are mounting. Even the United States, which for decades served as a source of hope and security for other nations, now appears leaderless.
This creates an atmosphere of insecurity, especially as totalitarian forces rattle their sabers. From a biblical perspective, Hibbs suggests this would be an ideal time for someone to emerge who speaks with authority and offers solutions to looming problems. The Bible describes the last days as a time when nations are like a troubled sea, and that description fits the current global climate.
Hibbs observes that the stage is being set globally—economically, through currency systems, laws, and a unification toward a one-world economy, bank, and government. The convergence of these factors is remarkable and suggests that if Jesus doesn't return soon, the emergence of such a global system wouldn't be surprising.
This Is a Spiritual Battle, Not Just Geopolitical
Stakelbeck emphasizes that what's happening is not merely coincidental or natural. While events unfold on the geopolitical stage, there is a deeper spiritual dimension to these developments. Hibbs wholeheartedly agrees, pointing believers to Scripture for understanding.
He encourages viewers to open their Bibles and read chapters like Ezekiel 38, which addresses what will happen to Israel in the end times. Ezekiel 36 reveals that in the last days, before Christ sets the end-time scenario in motion, He would bring His people back from all corners of the earth and re-establish them in their land. The book of Zechariah prophesies that in the last days, Israel will stand alone.
These biblical prophecies are being fulfilled before our eyes. Hibbs quotes Dr. Ed Hindson from Liberty University, who said that God didn't give us Bible prophecy to scare us but to prepare us. This perspective transforms fear into understanding and preparation.
How Should Believers Respond?
Hibbs encourages viewers to dive into the Bible and develop sound conservative eschatology. He urges believers to gain an excellent worldview on what is happening, understand what God requires of them now, how they should be living in days like these, and what they can expect next. Rather than being overcome with fear, he declares he wouldn't want to be alive at any other time in world history than right now.
Stakelbeck acknowledges that many viewers might feel concerned, worried, or even fearful about these developments. However, he reminds them that believers are not given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Could Revival Be the Answer?
The conversation turns to the possibility of Revival brewing in the United States. Stakelbeck notes that the U.S. stands in the way of the great reset, which is why global elites want to diminish American influence and bring the nation into the globalist fold. Yet the United States still has a strong Body of Christ, and at the end of the day, Revival may be the only real hope for fighting back against the great reset.
Hibbs responds with passion, stating there is a reason America's military and political prowess is waning. Before the White House, Air Force One, or the greatest military on earth existed, there were the covenant promises of the founding fathers and the pilgrims. They had the courage to ask God if He would make a covenant with them as a people, just as He did with Israel.
Before stepping off the Mayflower, they drew up the Mayflower Compact—a document only two paragraphs long that serves as a petition to God to bless the land. Hibbs encourages people to read it.
What If This Is About Our Souls?
Hibbs poses a provocative question: What if the nation doesn't recover economically or politically? What if it doesn't recover its influence in any way? What if God is using this moment to get our attention for the real reason—our souls?
He believes God may be orchestrating the next and perhaps the last greatest outpouring of His Holy Spirit in the United States to call the church back to worship. The church ran away during COVID, but God may be saying, "Come on back home. I've got a mission, I've got a ministry, I've got a plan for you."
Hibbs envisions the church becoming so holy, beautiful, and on fire that the world is awakened to what the church possesses. He is praying for this and believes that in California, the opening stages of such a movement are beginning to take place. He is filled with encouragement.
Preparing, Not Panicking
The interview concludes with Stakelbeck thanking Hibbs for the encouragement, inspiration, and insights for such a time as this. The message is clear: rather than succumbing to fear about the great reset, digital currency, digital ID, and the move toward globalism, believers should turn to Scripture, understand the times, and prepare their hearts for what God may be doing.
Whether the stage is being set for the return of Christ or for a great spiritual awakening—or both—the call is for believers to be informed, spiritually prepared, and filled with hope rather than fear.
