Sara Gonzales Defends Charlie Kirk Against Ilhan Omar and AOC's Congressional Attacks Following His Assassination

September 22, 2025

A passionate response to congressional criticism of Charlie Kirk following his assassination. Sara Gonzales confronts statements made by Representatives Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about Kirk's legacy, defending him as a kind, civil voice who engaged with those who disagreed with him. President Trump weighs in on Omar from Air Force One, calling for her impeachment and questioning how someone from Somalia can lecture Americans on governance. Gonzales argues that foreign-born members of Congress with allegiances to other countries shouldn't hold office, and discusses potential connections between Omar and the Muslim Brotherhood, calling for the organization to be designated as terrorist.

Congressional Attacks on Charlie Kirk's Legacy

Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, members of Congress have sparked outrage by making disparaging remarks about his character and legacy. Representative Ilhan Omar stated on the House floor: "I do believe those of you who are interested in rewriting this hateful man's history are full of..." Sara Gonzales argues that Omar and others are deliberately misrepresenting Kirk's statements to paint him as hateful, when in reality he was known for civil discourse with those who disagreed with him.

Gonzales promises to debunk misconceptions about what Charlie Kirk actually said later in the show, addressing how his words are being twisted to portray him and his supporters as fascists and bigots. Gonzales describes Kirk as "one of the kindest men" who was civil and wanted meaningful conversations with the other side, noting that people chose to engage with him voluntarily at his events.

President Trump Calls for Ilhan Omar's Impeachment

Speaking from Air Force One, President Trump responded directly to Omar's comments about Charlie Kirk with a call for her impeachment. "I think she should be impeached. I think she's terrible. Is she originally from Somalia?" Trump asked. He continued: "How are they doing? How's their government? Do they have a president? Do they have a council? Do they have anything? They have police. I love these people. They come from a place with nothing. Nothing. Nothing. And then they tell us how to run our country."

Trump emphasized that if Omar got censured, that would be great, but if she got impeached, that would be even better. He drew a comparison to his own impeachments, noting: "They impeached me twice for nothing. And they impeached me knowing the Republicans are on my side. So they knew it was just that they impeached me, but she should be impeached. And it should happen fast."

Trump's Truth Social Statement on Somalia

President Trump doubled down on his criticism via Truth Social, detailing conditions in Somalia: "Ilhan Omar's country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central government control, persistent poverty, hunger, resurgent terrorism, piracy, and I don't think he means burning unauthorized DVDs. Decades of civil war, corruption, and pervasive violence. 70% of the population lives in extreme poverty and widespread food insecurity. Somalia is consistently ranked among the world's most corrupt countries, including bribery, embezzlement, and a dysfunctional government. All of this and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America."

Trump added a postscript: "P.S., wasn't she the one that married her brother in order to gain citizenship? What scum we have in our country telling us what to do and how to do it. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Make America great again."

The Case Against Foreign-Born Members Lecturing Americans

Gonzales argues that it was a misstep for the founding fathers not to make it clear that foreigners shouldn't come to America, make their way to Congress, and then lecture citizens on how the country should be run. Gonzales states that anyone who pledges allegiance to another country should be expelled from Congress, calling this position generous and benevolent rather than calling for deportation.

"I don't think that you should be in Congress. I don't think that you should be representing Americans if you have allegiance to another country," Gonzales explains. This criticism is particularly pointed given Omar's statements that Gonzales interprets as representing Somali interests rather than American interests.

Potential Criminal Connections and Medicaid Fraud

President Trump posted about a Medicaid fraud scheme uncovered in Minnesota, Omar's home state, featuring numerous individuals with Muslim-sounding names. Trump asked: "Does Omar know these people? Are they from her wonderfully managed home country of Somalia?" Gonzales wonders whether Trump knows something he's hinting at and whether action against Omar is forthcoming.

Gonzales references journalist Logan Hall's description of the names as appearing like "Star Wars names" and questions whether President Trump has already investigated connections that might soon be revealed publicly.

Calls to Designate Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Organization

Laura Loomer tweeted that President Trump could permanently remove Omar from Congress by designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, which would affect both Omar and Representative Rashida Tlaib due to alleged financial connections. Gonzales fully supports this approach.

Representative Nancy Mace introduced a bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror organization. Despite personal disagreements with Mace, Gonzales supports this legislation completely. There has been long-standing discussion about Omar's alleged links to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Omar's "Some People Did Something" Comment About 9/11

Gonzales highlights Omar's controversial minimization of the September 11th attacks. Speaking to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Omar stated: "CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties."

Gonzales expresses outrage that Omar refers to the worst terror attack on American soil, which killed 3,000 Americans, as merely "some people did something," yet feels entitled to lecture Americans and criticize Charlie Kirk's character. Gonzales notes that CAIR itself has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

AOC Joins the Attacks

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also criticized Kirk: "We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was. His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans. Far from the working quote, working tirelessly to promote unity, unquote, asserted by the majority in this resolution."

Gonzales points out the irony of someone who was "serving up Jack and Cokes 10 years ago" calling Charlie Kirk uneducated, expressing frustration with these characterizations.

The Masks Are Off

Despite the frustration, Gonzales finds a silver lining in these congressional attacks. While average Americans are horrified by Kirk's public assassination and the circumstances surrounding it, Democratic members of Congress and figures in Hollywood continue making inflammatory statements that reveal their true character.

"The masks are off," Gonzales declares. "These sociopaths in Congress, these Democrat sociopaths are the only ones and in Hollywood and in all these other industries that they've taken over, but these sociopaths are the only ones who say this stuff. The rest of America is hearing you guys and they don't like it."

Gonzales concludes by invoking Maya Angelou: "When someone shows you who they really are, believe them. And you know what? I believe you." Gonzales sees these attacks as ultimately exposing Democratic politicians to the American public in a way that will damage their credibility and support.

[00:04] as we are still of course reeling from,

[00:09] you know, it wasn't enough that one of

[00:11] the most inspirational voices in our

[00:13] movement was assassinated in broad

[00:15] daylight. Now we have to deal with, of

[00:18] course, the disgusting people, both

[00:22] regular people and uh those in Congress,

[00:26] just desecrating his memory. Um, and

[00:30] it's just really disgusting. And so you

[00:32] would expect, of course, that uh we're

[00:34] calling them the squad.

[00:37] They're just they're at it again. I

[00:40] regret to inform you that the ship bag

[00:41] squad is at it again. And um you've got

[00:45] Ilan Omar, the brother lover Elan Omar,

[00:49] who decided that now would be the time

[00:53] to start spewing out a bunch of hateful,

[00:57] disgusting rhetoric about Charlie Kirk.

[01:01] >> I do believe those of you who are

[01:03] interested in rewriting this hateful

[01:05] man's history are full of

[01:09] >> Thank you.

[01:14] Okay, those of you who are interested in

[01:17] rewriting history on who this hateful

[01:20] man was are full of

[01:25] I don't know. I think you're the one

[01:27] that's full of Elon, because you

[01:30] guys have to keep misrepresenting the

[01:33] things that he said to try to paint him

[01:36] as some sort of hateful person. In fact,

[01:38] later on in the show, I'm going to clear

[01:40] up some of this nonsense, some of the

[01:42] misconceptions about what Charlie Kirk

[01:44] actually said, and we're going to show

[01:47] just how you guys are twisting words as

[01:50] usual to try to paint him and the rest

[01:52] of us, of course, as fascists and

[01:54] bigots. We'll get to that. Okay, we're

[01:57] going to be mythbusting

[01:59] today later on in the show. So, you've

[02:03] got Elon Omar and her disgusting

[02:06] rhetoric about Charlie Kirk. And you

[02:09] know what? President Trump uh President

[02:11] Trump himself had something to say about

[02:14] Elon Omar after her disgusting comments

[02:16] from Air Force One.

[02:18] >> I think she should be impeached. I think

[02:20] she's terrible.

[02:22] Is she originally from Somalia? Yes,

[02:24] sir.

[02:25] >> So, how are they doing this? How's their

[02:28] government? Do they have a president? Do

[02:30] they have a council? Do they have

[02:32] anything? They have police. I love these

[02:34] people. They come from a place with

[02:36] nothing.

[02:37] Nothing. Nothing. And then they tell us

[02:40] how to run our country. No, I think she

[02:42] if she got if she got censioned, that's

[02:45] great. If she got impeached, that's even

[02:47] better. They impeached me twice for

[02:50] nothing.

[02:52] >> And they impeached me knowing the

[02:53] Republicans are on my side. So, they

[02:55] knew it was just that they impeached me,

[02:57] but she should be impeached. And uh it

[03:00] should happen fast.

[03:02] >> He also Hey, you know what?

[03:06] Show me the lie. I mean, she comes to

[03:09] this country so ungrateful. She claims

[03:12] to be representing Somalia's interest.

[03:15] Like, show show me the lie. She should

[03:17] not have access to Congress. She should

[03:21] not have access to, you know, uh

[03:24] national security secrets. She should

[03:26] not have access to any of this.

[03:29] He doubled down on uh truth social. Ilan

[03:31] Omar's country of Somalia is plagued by

[03:34] a lack of central government control,

[03:36] persistent poverty, hunger, resurgent

[03:38] terrorism, piracy, and I don't think he

[03:42] means burning unauthorized DVDs.

[03:45] Okay. Decades of civil war, corruption,

[03:49] and pervasive violence. 70% of the

[03:52] population lives in extreme poverty and

[03:54] widespread food insecurity. Somalia is

[03:56] consistently ranked among the world's

[03:58] most corrupt countries, including

[04:00] bribery, embezzlement, and a

[04:02] dysfunctional government. All of this

[04:04] and Elan Omar tells us how to run

[04:07] America. P.S. This is the best. P.S.,

[04:11] wasn't she the one that married her

[04:13] brother in order to gain citizenship?

[04:15] What scum we have in our country telling

[04:18] us what to do and how to do it. Thank

[04:20] you for your attention to this matter.

[04:22] Make America great again. I mean, show

[04:26] me the lie.

[04:28] I don't know. I'm not in charge of like

[04:30] making the nation's laws, so I don't

[04:33] know exactly how I would craft this. But

[04:35] I do think, I've said this before, I do

[04:38] think that it was a misstep for our

[04:41] founding fathers to not make it clear

[04:46] that we should not have foreigners

[04:49] coming in, making their way to Congress,

[04:53] and then lecturing us on how our country

[04:56] is supposed to be.

[04:59] I think that if you especially if you

[05:01] pledge your allegiance to another

[05:03] country, you should be expelled from

[05:05] like it shouldn't be that shouldn't be

[05:07] controversial. You just shouldn't be in

[05:10] Congress.

[05:12] Now, I could go a step further. I mean,

[05:15] we could say just go back to Somalia.

[05:18] I'm But I'm I'm being generous. I'm I am

[05:20] being benevolent, okay? I'm not saying

[05:23] you need to be uh uh deported yet.

[05:28] I'm just saying I don't think that you

[05:30] should be in Congress. I don't think

[05:31] that you should be representing

[05:33] Americans

[05:35] if you have allegiance to another

[05:36] country. Now, I also don't think that

[05:39] you should be representing constituents.

[05:42] I found this a peculiar post. if you're

[05:44] a I don't know potentially involved in

[05:46] some sort of criminal ring because

[05:48] President Trump also added sometimes he

[05:50] posts this stuff and I'm like does

[05:53] Donald Trump know something that he's

[05:55] about to tell us and he's hinting at it.

[05:57] He posted about a Medicaid fraud scheme

[06:00] uncovered in Elan Omar's home state of

[06:02] Minnesota with a whole bunch of like

[06:05] Muslim sounding names. Obviously you you

[06:08] can read them there. And he's like does

[06:11] Omar know these people? Are they from

[06:13] her wonderfully managed home country of

[06:15] Somalia? And I mean, they are, as our

[06:18] friend Logan Hall likes to say. They

[06:20] are. They do appear to be Star Wars

[06:21] names. So,

[06:24] you got to wonder like, has he already

[06:26] looked into this? Is he about to are we

[06:30] about to see something go down with Alan

[06:32] Omar? And so you see this, you know,

[06:35] there's more of a a a push for this

[06:38] woman to have some sort of repercussions

[06:42] for what she's doing, for what she's

[06:43] saying, for hate, for her for her

[06:46] hateful rhetoric, for the way that she

[06:48] tries to represent Americans. And you

[06:51] had Nancy Mace, she tried to have her

[06:53] censured this week. That was blocked by

[06:54] one vote. But I will just say, uh, Laura

[06:58] Loomer tweeted this out. President Trump

[07:00] just called out Elan Omar for marrying

[07:01] her brother. President Trump can

[07:04] permanently have Omar removed from

[07:06] Congress by designating the Muslim

[07:08] Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

[07:10] That's how you get rid of Omar and Talib

[07:13] because they have taken money from she

[07:15] writes MB of course that's the Muslim

[07:17] Brotherhood.

[07:19] And you know what? I think we should I'm

[07:23] 100% for that. Um, there is a bill that

[07:27] was introduced by Nancy Mace as well,

[07:29] which listen, I have my own personal

[07:32] gripes with Nancy Mace, but I can't

[07:34] argue that designating the group, the

[07:36] bill would designate the Muslim

[07:38] Brotherhood as a terror organization.

[07:41] I don't I have absolutely no problem

[07:44] with that. That should 100% happen.

[07:48] Ilan Omar has had I mean for a very long

[07:52] time there's been talk of Ilan Omar

[07:54] having links to the Muslim Brotherhood

[07:56] and she also let's not forget

[08:00] that when we were talking about she was

[08:03] discussing

[08:05] what happened on September 11th

[08:09] she minimized it and downgraded it to

[08:12] this Ilhan Omar under fire again after

[08:16] telling the council on American Islamic

[08:18] Relations known as CARE, that the worst

[08:21] terror attack on American soil was

[08:23] quote, "Some people did something."

[08:25] >> Care was founded after 911

[08:29] because they recognized that some people

[08:31] did something and that all of us were

[08:35] starting to lose access to our civil

[08:38] liberties.

[08:39] >> I I I I just can't take it. Like, I just

[08:42] can't take it. Some people did

[08:44] something. Some people did something.

[08:47] That's what Elan Omah thinks about 911.

[08:49] But she's going to come to my country.

[08:52] She's going to come from her hole

[08:54] country to my country and come lecture

[08:58] me on what America is supposed to be and

[09:01] come lecture me and tell me that a guy

[09:05] that I knew

[09:07] who was one of the kindest men that I

[09:12] have ever seen out in I mean you see you

[09:15] can see roll the tapes you can just see

[09:17] it. He speaks with people he disagrees

[09:19] with. He is kind.

[09:22] He is civil.

[09:25] He wants to speak to the other side,

[09:27] which is more than I want. I can't stand

[09:30] any of you.

[09:33] And so this woman wants to stand on her

[09:35] little bully pulpit and tell everyone

[09:37] that Charlie Kirk was a hateful person

[09:40] and anyone who says otherwise is full of

[09:45] You

[09:48] I'm so sick of this. go back to Somalia

[09:51] if you don't believe in in the ability

[09:53] for Charlie Kirk to go and have a civil

[09:56] conversation with other people to

[09:58] literally give them a microphone.

[10:00] Remember, they don't have to come up and

[10:02] talk to him. They choose to talk to him.

[10:05] They choose to have the interaction. He

[10:07] wants to have a conversation.

[10:11] And you're gonna come in here and tell

[10:13] me that what 3,000 Americans dying in a

[10:16] terror attack was some people did some

[10:18] things. But you want to go and talk

[10:20] about Charlie Kirk. An American Charlie

[10:22] Kirk. An American hero. Charlie Kirk. An

[10:24] American Christian hero. Charlie Kirk.

[10:28] Go back to Somalia. I'm just done. By

[10:31] the way, the group that she was speaking

[10:32] with when she said some people did some

[10:34] things that was the they mentioned it

[10:36] care the Council of Islamic Relations.

[10:38] um they do also have ties to the Muslim

[10:41] Brotherhood and Hamas.

[10:44] These these are just not good people.

[10:46] It's just a bad idea to take someone who

[10:49] has all of these ties who has all these

[10:51] familial ties with this hole

[10:53] corrupt country and be like, "Come here

[10:56] and learn all of our country's secrets."

[10:58] That's dumb. It shouldn't happen. This

[11:01] is what Dingbat AOC had to say.

[11:04] >> We should be clear about who Charlie

[11:06] Kirk was. His rhetoric and beliefs were

[11:10] ignorant, uneducated, and sought to

[11:13] disenfranchise millions of Americans.

[11:17] Far from the working quote, working

[11:19] tirelessly to promote unity, unquote,

[11:22] asserted by the majority in this

[11:24] resolution.

[11:25] This was serving up like uh Jack

[11:28] and Cokes 10 years ago,

[11:31] and she's going to talk about Charlie

[11:33] Kirk being uneducated. like it. I it I

[11:35] just can't I just can't. I'm just I'm

[11:38] just done with these people. But you

[11:40] know what? There is one thing that I am

[11:42] so happy about. I am so ecstatic about

[11:45] which is that these pe the masks are

[11:47] off.

[11:48] The masks are off. At a time where the

[11:51] entire country, the average American, is

[11:53] horrified

[11:55] by everything that they've seen, is

[11:56] horrified by the fact that Charlie Kirk

[11:59] would be innocently sitting ready to

[12:01] have a conversation with those who

[12:03] disagree with him and just be picked off

[12:05] like that, publicly executed

[12:08] in front of the entire world.

[12:11] Everyone else is horrified. these

[12:13] sociopaths in the in Congress, these

[12:17] Democrat sociopaths are the only ones

[12:20] and in Hollywood and in all these other

[12:22] industries that they've taken over, but

[12:23] these sociopaths are the only ones who

[12:26] say this stuff. The rest of America is

[12:28] hearing you guys and they don't like it.

[12:31] They don't like it at all. And you know

[12:32] what? I am so glad. Thank you. Because

[12:34] as Maya Angelou said, when someone shows

[12:37] you who they really are, believe them.
