Savannah Chrisley Confronts Lipscomb Academy Over Their Response to Charlie Kirk's Death and School Indoctrination

Savannah Chrisley exposes the disturbing double standards at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, where students who wore red ties to honor Charlie Kirk were reprimanded, while George Floyd received extensive school-wide acknowledgment. The TV personality and entrepreneur reveals how the Church of Christ school attempted to silence her with an NDA when she requested a meeting, how teachers protested in all black, and how the memorial service for Kirk lasted only 23 minutes. Chrisley discusses the radical shift happening in Christian private schools, the federal funding Lipscomb University receives, and why parents and donors are demanding accountability from institutions that claim to uphold faith-based values but appear to be teaching critical race theory concepts instead.

Students Punished for Honoring Charlie Kirk

At Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, a small group of students wore red ties to honor Charlie Kirk following his death. Though the act violated dress code, the students were not formally disciplined but were asked to remove the ties. The school later issued an apology and worked with students to plan a chapel service focused on being bold and impactful in their faith, which was held on a Tuesday.

The incident sparked outrage among parents and students who noticed a stark contrast in how the school responded to Kirk's death compared to other national events.

Savannah Chrisley Speaks Out

TV personality and entrepreneur Savannah Chrisley has been outspoken about the issues at Lipscomb Academy, emphasizing the importance of standing up to critics during a Turning Point event at the University of Oklahoma. She delivered a powerful message to students who opposed her appearance.

"To every student who hated that I came here tonight, thank you. Your rejection is my confirmation. Your opposition proves that this mission still matters," Chrisley said. "If Charlie were here, he would have smiled too because he knew the moment they try to silence you is the moment you know that you're speaking the truth. I can't help but think that Charlie would tell us 'Let them throw away the science. Just don't you dare throw away your courage.'"

The Double Standard at Lipscomb Academy

Chrisley revealed troubling details about how Lipscomb Academy, a Church of Christ school that has been operating for well over a hundred years, handled Kirk's death versus other incidents. She described the situation as heartbreaking, noting that radical leftists with their propaganda have infiltrated the teaching staff.

"Students have been traumatized. I have them coming to me begging me to speak out," Chrisley explained. When she approached the head of the school requesting a meeting, they finally agreed after a few days but met her with their general counsel and attempted to get her to sign an NDA.

The contrast becomes clear when examining how the school responded to the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor. Lipscomb sent out a detailed email stating: "I write to you this evening with a sense of deep sadness as we respond to the tragic and inexcusable deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor. Instances when the lives of Black Americans have been wrongfully taken. Revealing injustice and inequality in our nation and the Lipscomb community stands on the side of respect and love. We are intolerant of racial views."

According to Chrisley, who receives all school emails as her sister attends Lipscomb, no email was sent until approximately two weeks after Charlie Kirk's assassination. Even then, the school never condemned the violence against Kirk and never stated they were standing with the students.

"If you're going say all lives matter then Charlie's life matters just as much as George Floyd," Chrisley argued. "They sent out all these resources for these children" after Floyd's death, but offered minimal support following Kirk's assassination.

A 23-Minute Memorial

When Lipscomb finally decided to hold an event to honor Charlie Kirk, Chrisley described it as completely butchered. The memorial service lasted only 23 minutes. "So in Lipscomb Academy's eyes, Charlie Kirk's life was only worth 23 minutes," she said.

Leadership and Ideology at Lipscomb

Chrisley pointed to specific leadership figures at the school as contributing to the problem. She mentioned Dr. Candace McQueen and Brad Scholes, noting that Scholes wrote his college dissertation on private Christian schools and how he allegedly supported certain ideological positions that conflict with traditional Christian education.

"This is a Church of Christ school. We should be teaching them to have voice and they shouldn't be afraid to show up to school and unfortunately that's where kids are now. They are afraid of showing up," Chrisley stated.

She also referenced Dr. Savage, whom students reportedly feel intimidated by, and described a head teacher showing up wearing all black in protest. A protest was held at the school without parents being notified, and a teacher invited children to this protest related to Dr. Savage being demoted—though Chrisley clarified he was actually promoted to oversee academics for the entire school.

What Parents and Donors Want

When asked if this represents what parents and donors want from the school, Chrisley was clear: "This is not what parents want. This is not what donors want. We wanted Charlie's life to be honored for exactly what it was. He stood for family, faith, and freedom."

She revealed that Lipscomb University receives federal funding—$4.8 million in 2023. Chrisley called on Linda McMahon to investigate exactly what Lipscomb University and Lipscomb Academy are teaching, noting that staff members are being required to read books on how to be an antiracist and how white supremacy still exists.

"If you are not serving the students, the interests of parents, the interests of donors, whose interests are you serving?" she asked.

Political Future

When asked about her potential run for Congress, which she had previously said wasn't the right time a couple months prior, Chrisley acknowledged she has spoken with friends in the political world. She mentioned it remains a goal and a dream of hers, questioning whether the right time would be when Marsha Blackburn runs for governor or at a different time.

"I believe God has got a plan for everything. Charlie has inspired me to continue to stand up, stand strong in my faith, stand strong in my beliefs. Who knows," Chrisley concluded.
