Intersectionality and Critical Race Theory in Kirk's Debates
Showing 8 Intersectionality videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
Intersectionality and its academic cousin, critical race theory, became one of Charlie Kirk's most frequent debate battlegrounds, and this material shows the argument from several directions. In one campus exchange, Kirk pressed a student defending critical race theory to actually define it, pointing to Derek Bell's 1991 foundational text while arguing the theory's flexibility lets it mean whatever its users need it to mean in the moment. At a Salem Radio panel, Kirk joined theologian Voddie Baucham and author Eric Metaxas in framing social justice ideology as fundamentally incompatible with biblical justice, a debate Baucham had already explored at length in his book Fault Lines. Not every voice in this material agreed with that framing: a separate documentary-style investigation argued that conservative operative Christopher Rufo and Koch-funded think tanks manufactured the 2020 panic over critical race theory largely as a political distraction, a claim presented as that investigation's own argument rather than settled fact. Karlyn Borysenko offered a third account entirely, describing years spent inside far-left organizing spaces where she says activists connected intersectional language directly to opposition to private property.
