According to the Washington Post, Robinson wrote on the social media chat platform: "Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I'm sorry for all of this." This confession came approximately two hours before he was turned into authorities.
The evidence against Robinson is overwhelming. He was seen running from the scene on surveillance footage, ditched the weapon, and investigators have collected DNA, fingerprints, and shoe impressions. His own father testified and turned him in. His roommate, who is reportedly transitioning, is divulging information to authorities. Robinson's confession on Discord adds yet another layer to the mountain of evidence already accumulated.
DOJ officials began investigating the potential for at least one federal charge late last week and over the weekend. A department spokesperson declined comment, but sources familiar with the investigation said investigators are examining Robinson's online gaming presence and chat communications to determine who he was talking to and what led to this act of violence.

One of the most frustrating conspiracy theories involves demands for camera footage from Turning Point USA. Some individuals, including Elijah Schaefer, have requested footage and created unnecessary stress for staff members who are mourning the death of their friend and preparing for his funeral. These are the same staff members who have been eyewitnesses to this tragedy.
The staff members at Turning Point USA are the ones who transport footage, cameras, and equipment to these events. They've done this 50 or 60 times before. After their friend was murdered, they had to maintain composure to dismantle all the tents and equipment they had set up. The person standing on the chair pulling down the camera is a longtime Turning Point employee who has been with the organization forever and is responsible for all their recordings. He's struggling right now, yet conspiracy theorists are online calling it suspicious that they're taking cameras down after their friend was just murdered.
The Evidence Box Misunderstanding
Another conspiracy theory involves a photograph showing a gun in a box in the woods. People are claiming this looks suspicious or staged, but this demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of evidence collection procedures. When law enforcement collects evidence, they don't just throw a rifle in a locker somewhere. They place it in an evidence box. The ammunition must be locked away separately. A zip tie goes through the trigger to ensure nobody gets hurt. The box is sealed so investigators know if it has been tampered with, maintaining the chain of custody.
In the photograph people are questioning, the gun was clearly wrapped in a towel. Investigators removed it from the towel to photograph the weapon, then placed it into an evidence box that would later be closed, sealed, and shipped with proper chain of custody documentation to a facility where it becomes part of the official evidence. This is standard investigative procedure. The weapon will undergo forensic evaluation at a lab, where experts will check the rifling in the barrel and compare it to shell casings. Tucson, Arizona is home to the biggest ballistic forensic facility in the world, where this type of analysis is conducted.
The AI-Generated Photo Confusion
Conspiracy theorists have also seized on discrepancies in photographs of the suspect, claiming the images don't match. The FBI released a grainy surveillance image. Some people took that image and ran it through AI to create a clearer picture. The AI-generated version is not the FBI's official photo, and AI doesn't always accurately recreate images. In the AI-generated version, the shirt appears distorted because the technology struggles with certain details. People are comparing the original grainy FBI photo to the AI-generated version and claiming a cover-up, when in reality they're looking at two different processing methods of the same image.
The Absurdity of a Cover-Up Theory
The suggestion that this investigation is somehow being botched or fabricated is absurd when you consider the facts. Donald Trump would never allow a botched investigation into his good friend Charlie Kirk, who helped Trump during his first campaign back in 2015 when Charlie wasn't as well-known. FBI investigations follow strict investigatory principles and guidelines that all agents must follow. The idea that they would fabricate evidence and create a false narrative in front of the world regarding Charlie Kirk, a man celebrated around the world, is beyond ridiculous.
This isn't Jeffrey Epstein. That was a different situation where they were investigating Epstein under different circumstances. Charlie Kirk was beloved, and the investigation into his murder is being conducted with the highest level of scrutiny and professionalism.
The Suspect's Background and Roommate
According to neighbors and witnesses, Tyler Robinson exhibited unusual behavior. One neighbor described seeing him dressed all in black with a mask on, which they found quite weird. The neighbor witnessed Robinson with his roommate, who was reportedly transitioning to become a woman. They were seen holding hands and kissing, and the neighbor overheard them discussing a doctor's appointment about two weeks before the shooting.
The neighbor described Robinson as having freckles on his face and an unusual mushroom-shaped haircut. He didn't come out much, only appearing occasionally. When police surrounded the residence, the neighbor witnessed extensive law enforcement presence, including police cars, SWAT trucks, helicopters, a drone, and even a sniper positioned on a hill. The residence was covered with police tape.
The False Israel Conspiracy
One of the most offensive and baseless conspiracy theories suggests Israel was somehow involved in Charlie Kirk's death. This theory has no merit whatsoever. Some people claim that Charlie Kirk had recently turned against Israel, and therefore Israel had him killed. This is not only false but disrespectful to Charlie's memory.
There are people who were far more supportive of Israel than Charlie Kirk who later became extremely critical, yet they continue to live without incident. If Israel were in the business of eliminating critics, these individuals would be at far greater risk. Charlie Kirk's body of work showed tremendous support for Israel throughout his career. Even if he had changed his position, which there's no credible evidence he did, Israel wouldn't target him while ignoring far more vocal critics.
Furthermore, Benjamin Netanyahu and Jewish leaders around the world have publicly mourned Charlie Kirk's death and celebrated his life. Netanyahu gave Charlie love and respect on international television. Not a single prominent Jewish figure has been seen celebrating his death or claiming he turned against them. The conspiracy theory falls apart under the slightest scrutiny.
The Real Enemy: Radical Leftists
The people celebrating Charlie Kirk's death are radical leftists. These are the same individuals who have consistently attacked conservatives, called them fascists and racists, and demonstrated hatred and evil behavior toward Charlie at rallies and events. They are diabolical in their rhetoric and actions.
This is the same group that supported Black Lives Matter riots, attacked people in the streets, wore masks while bludgeoning people, and burned buildings when things didn't go their way politically. They tried to kill Trump. They attempted to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh. They attack conservatives at UC Davis and other campuses. These radical leftists are the clear and present danger, not Jews or Israel.
The same people who pushed Black Lives Matter are the same ones pushing Free Palestine. The same media that beat people over the head with Black Lives Matter messaging is now doing the same with Palestine. It's the same pattern, the same groups, attacking the same targets: white Christians, police, and conservatives.
