Charlie Kirk Analyzes Robert Kennedy Jr's Historic Endorsement of Donald Trump at Glendale Rally

Charlie Kirk breaks down the historic moment when Robert Kennedy Jr., son of Attorney General Bobby Kennedy and nephew of President JFK, officially endorsed Donald Trump at a Turning Point Action rally in Glendale, Arizona. Kirk explores why this lifelong Democrat and member of America's most iconic Democratic family chose to cross party lines, focusing on their shared concerns about corporate power, endless wars, censorship, and America's poisoned food supply. This analysis examines how Kennedy's endorsement could reshape the race, particularly in swing states where Kennedy was polling at 5-6%, potentially delivering tens of thousands of crucial votes to Trump.

A Historic Endorsement at the Glendale Rally

Charlie Kirk delivered an instant analysis following a major rally in Glendale, Arizona, brought to the public by Turning Point Action and Turning Point PAC. President Donald Trump delivered what Kirk described as one of his best speeches in some time, but the headline news was Robert Kennedy Jr.'s official endorsement of Donald Trump.

Kirk expressed his deep respect for Kennedy, noting he has known him for some time and originally followed his work on COVID skepticism, mask mandates for children, and exposing the truth about Dr. Anthony Fauci. Kirk highlighted that Kennedy's book is objectively one of the best resources available on these topics, and that Kennedy has been a long-standing advocate for truth against major power institutions including the FDA, CDC, and Department of Justice.

The Kennedy Legacy and Family Tragedy

Kirk reminded viewers of Kennedy's profound family legacy. Robert Kennedy Jr. is the son of Bobby Kennedy, who served as Attorney General under his brother President John F. Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan in the back of a kitchen after JFK was also shot. Kirk asked his audience to imagine what it must be like for Robert Kennedy Jr., remembering the last time he saw his father before he was murdered.

Kirk drew a parallel between Kennedy and Trump, noting that Kennedy was part of Camelot and carries the namesake of Bobby Kennedy, yet he became a class traitor. Kennedy chose to leave the comfort of the high life in Massachusetts—the trust fund established by Joseph P. Kennedy—to advocate for truth in government and challenge corporate power.

Rejection by the Democratic Party

Despite being a lifelong Democrat, Kennedy faced brutal opposition from his own party. When he decided to run for the presidency in the Democratic primary, the party that JFK invigorated after Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower's control decided to kick him out. They refused to allow him on the debate stage and did everything possible to tar and feather him.

Realizing he had no path forward in the Democratic primary, Kennedy decided to run as an independent candidate. Even then, he was met with the same obstacles by Democratic secretaries of state and Democratic attorneys general who blocked his ballot access and prevented him from running an effective independent campaign.

Finding Common Ground with Trump

Kirk recalled having Kennedy on his show in December, describing him as a gentleman and a man of high character. While they didn't agree on everything, Kirk and Kennedy found common ground on challenging corporate power, ending the Ukraine war, giving a voice to the voiceless, and rebuilding the American middle class.

Kirk remembered telling Kennedy privately that he didn't think Kennedy was a Democrat in the modern sense—he was an old Democrat and now an American patriot where labels no longer applied.

Kennedy faced a critical decision during the summer. He realized that if he remained in the race as a spoiler candidate, he could hand the presidency to Kamala Harris. During a period when Harris experienced a surge, Kennedy made the choice to put country above party. He decided to align with someone he has disagreements with—President Trump and Kennedy don't agree on everything, but they agree on the big issues. They agree that America is a great country and share fundamental core values that have made this the greatest country in history.

A Kennedy Endorses a Republican for the First Time

Kirk emphasized the historic nature of this endorsement—the first Kennedy to ever endorse a Republican. He listed the extraordinary events of the summer: an indictment, a conviction, a president getting shot, a new candidate, two conventions, and now a Kennedy endorsing a Republican.

Kennedy's decision came despite fierce opposition from his own family. His siblings—Kathleen Kennedy, Courtney Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, and Rory Kennedy—released a statement saying, "We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise, and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby's decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story."

Kirk responded forcefully, stating that Kennedy stood up against his trust fund baby brothers and sisters and said he cared more about the country than the feelings of his siblings. Kennedy is a freethinker on vaccines, pharmaceutical companies, and war.

The Five Key Reasons for Kennedy's Endorsement

Robert Kennedy Jr. laid out his reasons why the Harris-Walz ticket must be stopped:

  • Protect freedom of speech and stop Deep State censorship: Kennedy was on a list of 12 people identified by the CDC and FDA during COVID as misinformation spreaders.
  • End the pointless forever war in Ukraine: Kennedy stated that if he endorsed Trump on this single issue alone, it would be worth it. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris show no interest in seeking peace, only in warmongering.
  • Bring manufacturing back to America and halt deindustrialization: This is a core value that was previously held by Democrats—that if we don't make things in this country and don't protect the muscular class, we end up not having a country.
  • Protect the dollar: The Biden administration and Harris have done everything they can to strengthen BRICS, and we've seen massive dollarization of the country.
  • Restore America's good health: This is a passion project for Kennedy.

America's Health Crisis and Corporate Contamination

Kirk expanded on Kennedy's health concerns, noting that half of all kids in America are obese while only 3% of kids in Japan are obese. This isn't because American children don't move as much—it's because they are being poisoned by major food companies. To eat healthy requires significant money to shop at places like Whole Foods or Sprouts.

Americans are being actively poisoned by big food companies. Kennedy has discussed how American consumers are experiencing screwed-up hormones, higher estrogen rates, and declining testosterone rates. Our endocrinology is disrupted because of the contaminants in how we grow and source our food.

Kirk announced that he spent considerable time backstage with Kennedy and that they will be bringing Kennedy on tour in swing states to talk about food safety in Scottsdale, Georgia, and other locations, discussing ethical sourcing of food and why Donald Trump is the right candidate for these issues.

Citizen Versus Oligarch

Kennedy also mentioned his agreement with Trump on securing the Southern border. Kirk framed this moment as not Republican versus Democrat or conservative versus liberal, but citizen versus oligarch—the people against the machine.

Kennedy stated in his speech: "In the name of saving democracy, the Democratic Party set itself to dismantling it. Lacking confidence that its candidate could win in a fair election at the voting booth, the DNC waged continual illegal warfare against both President Trump and myself."

Kennedy destroyed the modern Democratic Party by saying: "The Democratic Party has become the party of war, censorship, corruption, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and big money."

Kirk broke down each element:

  • War: The Ukraine war and the Israeli war—the Democratic Party is the party of war manufacturers.
  • Censorship: When Democrats encounter ideas they don't like, they don't debate or disprove them—they try to shut you up.
  • Corruption: Kamala Harris is being bought by donors, while Trump and Kennedy cannot be bought.
  • Big Pharma: Companies like Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson have purchased the American healthcare system. Kirk noted that a Danish company making Ozempic is trying to get it on the Medicare schedule, which would be a $3 trillion boost to this pharmaceutical manufacturer without addressing the actual core cause of obesity.
  • Big Tech: All the biggest tech companies are behind Harris and her campaign.
  • Big Money: The wealthiest people in the country, aside from Elon Musk, are behind Harris and her agenda.

The Art of the Deal on Full Display

Kirk praised Kennedy's courage and noted that the art of the deal was on full display with President Trump willing to strike a deal with Kennedy, who could be a major asset to the campaign. Kennedy is a lifelong, card-carrying Democrat who has now embraced Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.

Kirk also stated that Kennedy will be encouraged by how well he's been treated by the rank and file—by those who follow, appreciate, and understand him.

An Unprecedented Coalition

As the election approaches, Kirk highlighted the roster of former Democrats now supporting Trump: Tulsi Gabbard, former co-chair of the DNC; Robert Kennedy Jr., the namesake of the assassinated attorney general; Elon Musk, former Democrat and world's richest man; David Sacks; and others. Kirk contrasted this with the Harris campaign, which has Adam Kinzinger, saying, "I'll take Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert Kennedy Jr. over Adam Kinzinger every day."

President Trump also announced that if elected, in Kennedy's honor, he will establish an independent commission on assassinations to release all remaining documents on the Kennedy assassination.

Winning Over Suburban Women and Swing State Impact

Kirk sees this endorsement as a way to finally win over suburban women—those who know their kids are being contaminated and that childhood obesity is out of control.

In Arizona, Kennedy was polling between 5-6%, which could translate to 40,000 to 60,000 guaranteed votes for President Trump. This could be decisive in a swing state.

A Triumph Over the Chicago Convention

Kirk concluded by noting that while the Democratic National Convention was happening in Chicago, what happened in Glendale was far more consequential, meaningful, and encouraging for the movement. The convention in Chicago was a circus with actors and actresses lying to the American people. What happened in Glendale was real—a Kennedy embracing the American agenda.

Kirk declared that the campaign is ascendant and growing, and this endorsement is a game-changer that will change the state of the race.
