Defending Charlie Kirk Against Media Matters
Michael Knowles opened his show by defending Charlie Kirk, who found himself trending on Twitter after making controversial statements about Democrats and sexual morality. Media Matters and Jason Campbell, whom Knowles refers to as his "personal publicist," pulled a clip of Kirk that they deemed shocking and insane. Knowles noted that these critics spend their days watching conservative shows, attempting to get hosts fired—efforts that have come close but never succeeded.
The controversial clip featured Kirk stating: "You think we're still living in the 1980s where the Democrats actually want what's best for America? The Democrats want to destroy the country. We know this. This is not new stuff. It's not profound thinking. They want to see America completely obliterated, the Constitution shredded and remade in their own San Francisco, Brooklyn, Malibu, Manhattan image where there is no cultural identity, where you live in sexual anarchy, where private property is a thing of the past and the ruling class controls everything. We know this."
Breaking Down the Sexual Anarchy Argument
Rather than distancing himself from Kirk's statement, Knowles challenged critics to identify what Kirk got wrong. He argued that conservatives would see Kirk's comments as common sense, but more interestingly, suggested that even liberals at organizations like Media Matters would agree with Kirk's assessment if they were being honest with themselves.
Knowles then examined the concept of "sexual anarchy" that Kirk referenced. He traced the dominant view of sexual morality back to the 1960s, characterizing it as an "if it feels good, do it" philosophy. According to Knowles, the prevailing attitude suggests that any sexual behavior is acceptable—premarital sex, hookups, and various other activities—with only one caveat: everything must be consensual.
The Limits of Modern Sexual Ethics
Knowles acknowledged that the left draws a line at non-consensual sex, which eventually leads to situations involving the Me Too movement. However, he argued that anything short of non-consensual sex appears to be defended by the left. He defined anarchy as a system where there's no formal government and no rules beyond the defense of radical individual autonomy and consent, then applied this definition to the sexual realm.
Why the Left Won't Admit the Truth
According to Knowles, Kirk was using precise terminology to describe exactly what the left wants, but the left refuses to acknowledge this because they know, at some deep level, that it's insane. Knowles argued that the left understands the absurdity of claiming that people can do absolutely whatever they want without rules or moral order in any aspect of life, including sexuality. However, because they don't want to admit this reality, they attack Kirk for accurately describing their position.
Knowles concluded by affirming that Charlie Kirk was "absolutely 100 percent correct" in his assessment, standing firmly behind his colleague's controversial but, in his view, accurate characterization of the Democratic vision for America.

[00:00] got to defend my buddy charlie kirk for
[00:01] a moment charlie kirk as he often does
[00:03] was trending on twitter
[00:05] he got in trouble charlie is always
[00:07] getting himself in trouble and medium
[00:09] matters and jason campbell who i refer
[00:11] to as my personal publicist he is one of
[00:13] the people who were at media matters
[00:16] they work they just watch all of our
[00:17] shows all day and they try to get us
[00:18] fired and they haven't they've gotten
[00:20] close sometimes but they have not
[00:22] succeeded in doing that so he was going
[00:23] after charlie and he pulled this clip
[00:25] from charlie said this is shocking this
[00:27] is insane
[00:28] he says quote charlie kirk warns that
[00:31] democrats want you
[00:33] living in sexual anarchy here's what
[00:35] charlie said you think we're still
[00:37] living in the 1980s where the democrats
[00:39] actually want
[00:41] what's best for america
[00:43] the democrats want to destroy the
[00:44] country we know this
[00:46] this is not new stuff
[00:48] it's not profound thinking
[00:50] they want to see america completely
[00:53] obliterated the constitution shredded
[00:56] and remade in their own
[00:58] san francisco brooklyn
[01:01] malibu manhattan image
[01:04] where there is no cultural identity
[01:06] where you live in sexual anarchy
[01:09] for private property is a thing of the
[01:10] past and the ruling class controls
[01:13] everything
[01:15] we know this crazy that charlie can you
[01:17] believe charlie said that's insane i
[01:20] totally disagree but what
[01:22] but what did he get wrong exactly what
[01:25] what part of what he just said
[01:27] was wrong
[01:29] i think a conservative will listen to
[01:30] that and say no that's obviously just
[01:31] common sense but what's weird here is
[01:34] that
[01:35] i think even a liberal even some left
[01:37] winger like the people at media matters
[01:40] if they're being honest which they
[01:41] usually are not but if they're being
[01:42] honest at least with themselves
[01:44] i think they would agree with what
[01:46] charlie said too
[01:48] what is sexual anarchy
[01:50] it seems to me that the the dominant
[01:53] view of sexual morality since the 1960s
[01:55] at least
[01:56] is
[01:57] if it feels good do it
[01:59] if you want to do something sexually if
[02:01] you want to have pre-marital sex if you
[02:03] want to hook up if you want to do
[02:04] whatever you want to do
[02:06] if if you want to do it you should do it
[02:09] and there's only one little caveat here
[02:11] which is that everything's got to be
[02:12] consensual so if things are not
[02:14] consensual then eventually you get some
[02:15] me too problems and things they're not
[02:17] going to go that far as to defend rape
[02:19] but anything short of non-consensual sex
[02:23] it seems to me the left defends
[02:26] right that well what is sexual anarchy
[02:29] sexual anarchy right anarchy is the
[02:32] system where there's no formal
[02:33] government you don't really have to
[02:35] follow any any rules beyond the defense
[02:38] of one's own
[02:39] radical individual autonomy and consent
[02:42] and then you apply this in the realm of
[02:43] sex it seems like charlie is using a
[02:44] very precise term to describe exactly
[02:47] what the left wants but the left knows
[02:49] that that's insane at some
[02:51] deep deep down level i think the left
[02:53] knows that that is insane to say that
[02:56] sexually or in any other aspect of life
[02:58] you can do absolutely whatever you want
[02:59] and there are no rules and no moral
[03:01] order whatsoever so they don't want to
[03:02] admit that but that is what they're
[03:04] saying that is what they're defending
[03:06] and charlie kirk was absolutely 100
[03:09] correct i am so glad
[03:12] it makes me feel very good to know that
