Katie Hobbs and Turning Point Action's Campaign to Unseat Her
Showing 9 Katie Hobbs videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
Katie Hobbs became the explicit target of a Turning Point Action campaign Charlie Kirk announced to remove her from Arizona's governorship in 2026, citing her refusal to let the federal government deport illegal immigrants who had committed crimes in the state as the offense that made her removal a stated organizational priority alongside Attorney General Kris Mayes. Kirk framed the effort as a direct continuation of the movement's decade-long Arizona project, tracing a line from Trump's first MAGA rally in Phoenix through Turning Point Action's 200,000-voter operation that delivered the state in 2024, positioning Hobbs's defeat as the next chapter in transforming Arizona into what Kirk called the most free and prosperous and safe state in the country.
Congressman Andy Biggs, who received Trump's endorsement to challenge Hobbs, laid out an aggressive first-week agenda covering border security and election integrity and eliminating the state income tax at a Phoenix rally sixteen months ahead of the primary. The rally drew appearances from Burgess Owens, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, and Eli Crane. The campaign against Hobbs became one of the clearest examples of Turning Point Action's shift from national voter-turnout operations toward targeting specific state officials by name over individual policy disputes.
