The Hamptons Retreat: A Documented Confrontation, A Contested Theory
Showing 32 The Hamptons Retreat videos from Charlie Kirk's video collection.
The Hamptons Retreat refers to an August 2025 gathering where, according to accounts from Candace Owens, Max Blumenthal, and Tucker Carlson, Kirk faced direct pressure from donors including Bill Ackman and Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon over his defense of Candace Owens and his increasingly critical statements about pro-Israel donor influence, a confrontation Carlson has described as costing Kirk millions of dollars in funding. Owens has said Kirk called her afterward specifically to warn her that participants wanted her to stop discussing an unrelated investigation into French First Lady Brigitte Macron, a request she has characterized as raising its own separate questions about who was actually directing pressure at the meeting.
Owens has since pushed further, arguing that the meeting's aftermath, combined with Kirk's subsequent private text messages about leaving the pro-Israel cause, forms the core of a broader case that his death followed directly from the donor pressure he faced there rather than occurring independently of it. A documented donor confrontation acknowledged even by figures skeptical of broader conspiracy claims, and a much more contested causal theory built on top of it, gave the Hamptons meeting outsized significance across the case's competing narratives.
