Charlie Kirk's Final Arizona Rally Speech: Why This State Will Determine America's Future

Categories: Speeches
November 1, 2024

Charlie Kirk addresses a packed Arizona rally on the eve of Election Day, tracing the state's significance from hosting Donald Trump's first MAGA rally nine years ago to its potential deciding role in the upcoming election. Kirk emphasizes Arizona's transformation from being down several points in early voting in 2020 to leading by eight points, while warning against complacency. He calls on attendees to spend the final weekend mobilizing low-propensity voters, knocking on doors, and ensuring hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters who received mail-in ballots actually submit them. Kirk frames the election as a realignment where the party now includes figures like Robert Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, and Tulsi Gabbard, contrasting it with what he describes as the Democrats' platform of war, censorship, and failed policies on borders, inflation, and housing affordability.

Arizona: Where the MAGA Movement Began

Charlie Kirk opened his speech by reminding the Arizona crowd of their state's unique place in political history. The first MAGA rally was held in Phoenix, and this appearance marked Donald Trump's final visit to Arizona as a candidate, completing a nine-year journey that began with the golden escalator announcement.

"Donald Trump's values have not changed over the last 40 years from the golden escalator to this stage tonight," Kirk told the audience. "Donald Trump was clear that our country will be invaded no longer and we will not put up with our sovereignty being jeopardized. That's why he came to Arizona."

Kirk described Arizona as the state that helped launch a movement that has swept the globe, though he diplomatically acknowledged the state has not been "exactly accurately reflected in elections" in recent cycles.

The Great Political Realignment

Kirk highlighted what he called a profound political realignment happening across the country, pointing to the contrasting coalitions formed in the election.

"Kamala Harris gets Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger and we get Bobby Kennedy, Elon Musk, and Tulsi Gabbard," Kirk declared. "They say that Trump is good at making deals. That is the best political trade in the history of political trades."

He emphasized that party labels no longer matter as much as a fundamental question: "Do you love the country and do you want to do whatever it takes to save the country from these robber barons, from these ideological zealots and these partisans that have been stealing our money, going after our children and sending us into no-win wars halfway across the globe?"

Kirk framed the choice as one between a party of free speech, borders, and openness to ideas versus what he described as a party of war, censorship, and ugliness. He referenced President Biden's comment calling Trump supporters "garbage," turning it into a rallying cry: "Look around Mr. President because there's a lot of garbage here tonight and this Tuesday we're going to take out the garbage of the White House."

Early Voting Progress and the Warning Against Complacency

Kirk shared encouraging news about early voting numbers while simultaneously warning against overconfidence.

"In 2020 we were down a couple points at this time in early voting. As of today we are beating the Democrats by eight points in early voting," he announced. However, he immediately followed with a warning: "We have a lot of work yet to do."

He urged those who had already voted to find two, three, four, five, or six other people to get to the polls. "Your job and your duty and your task is not done," Kirk insisted. "This state is going to determine the future of the United States of America."

Kirk specifically cautioned against developing a spirit of cockiness or overconfidence. He asked attendees to remember the pain of election night 2020 when Arizona was called for Biden just 90 minutes after polls closed. "I want you to recreate the anger that you felt. I want you to recreate that pit of the stomach," he said, urging them to channel that emotion into action.

Arizona's Economic Struggles Under Biden-Harris

Kirk outlined how Arizona has been particularly affected by what he described as failed policies on borders and inflation.

"When Donald Trump was President you could buy a home in Phoenix Arizona if you earned $75,000 a year. Now it requires $135,000 a year to purchase a home in Phoenix Arizona, not to mention the millions of people coming across the southern border," Kirk stated.

He contrasted this with Trump's policy proposals for day one:

  • No tax on tips
  • No tax on overtime
  • No tax on social security
  • Drill baby drill
  • Secure the border
  • End World War III
  • No men in women's sports

Kirk also took a jab at Vice President Harris's economic messaging: "They asked the question what are you going to do for the economy? She says well you know I was raised in a middle class family. Okay we got that." He added with a grin, "Just so we're setting the record straight, Donald Trump has worked longer at McDonald's than Kamala Harris ever has."

The Campus Revolution: Young Men Turning Conservative

Kirk shared observations from his college campus tour in support of Trump, having just completed the 25th campus stop.

"I go to college campuses so you don't have to, but I'll tell you there is something happening on these campuses. We can't find rooms big enough to fit all the students that want to attend our campus events," Kirk reported.

He delivered what he considered particularly significant news: "I am happy to report that young men are the most conservative that they have been in 50 years."

The Final Weekend Push: From Support to Votes

Kirk's central message for the final days before the election was clear: support must be converted into votes.

"The table is set. We outnumber them. We have more support. But do we have more votes?" Kirk asked. "The question is we have to turn our support into votes and that is where the grittiness comes in."

He outlined a specific strategy for the final weekend:

  • Attend Turning Point Action super chase events across the valley
  • Knock on five doors
  • Download the Turning Point Action app and canvas your neighborhood
  • Find every low-propensity voter
  • Wear MAGA hats in public and ask people if they've voted

Kirk emphasized that hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters in the valley have received mail-in ballots but haven't submitted them yet. "We need to find those people and get them in the system," he urged.

He also highlighted another group: "There are hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters that may or may not show up. These are plumbers, electricians and welders. These are people that we love and that we cherish. Might say oh my vote won't matter. You need to convince them to go to the polls and get their vote in and bring two friends with them."

Why Arizona Matters: A Love Letter to the State

Kirk closed his speech with a personal reflection on why Arizona holds such significance for him.

"I was raised in Chicago but this is my home and I love this state. This is the best place in America and I could live anywhere I want. I live here for a reason," Kirk shared.

He explained what makes Arizona special: "No one asks where you went to college. I wouldn't be able to tell them because I didn't go to college. No one here cares who your parents are. Arizona is what America should be. It's how do you act, what is your character and what do you do."

Kirk described Arizona as "the best the country has to offer," calling it State 48, a state that loves liberty, freedom, and cherishes the founding ideals of the nation.

"I believe we are all here for God's purpose to liberate this state from Democrat control and we'll all see it on CNN an election night if we do the work," Kirk concluded. "'You can now project the 11 electoral votes of Arizona to Donald J. Trump.' Get to work everybody. Let's win this thing."

[01:00] country will be invaded no longer and we

[01:02] will not put up with our sovereignty

[01:04] being jeopardized that's why he came to

[01:08] Arizona this state helped launch the

[01:52] amazing there's something profound

[01:54] happening in this country where kamla

[01:58] Harris gets Liz Cheney and Adam

[02:03] kinzinger and we get Bobby Kennedy Elon

[02:08] Musk and Tulsi

[02:15] gabin they say that Trump is good at

[02:18] making deals that is the best political

[02:20] trade in the history of political trades

[02:27] everybody the realignment is it does not

[02:31] matter if you are a Republican or

[02:33] Democrat it does not matter the label

[02:36] that you used to call yourself it simply

[02:38] matters do you love the country and do

[02:42] you want to do whatever it takes to save

[02:45] the country from these robber barons

[02:47] from these ideological zealots and these

[02:50] partisans that have been stealing our

[02:51] money going after our children and

[02:54] sending us into no- win Wars halfway

[02:56] across the globe What this election is

[02:58] about is where you have have a Kennedy

[03:00] endorsing Donald Trump Tulsi gabard the

[03:03] former co-chair of the DNC endorsing

[03:05] Donald Trump we are the party of free

[03:08] speech of borders we are the party of

[03:12] openness to ideas and they are the party

[03:14] of War censorship and ugliness and you

[03:16] saw it on display where the current

[03:18] president United States thinks that

[03:20] you're a bunch of garbage well look

[03:22] around Mr President because there's a

[03:24] lot of garbage here tonight

[03:34] and this Tuesday we're going to take out

[03:36] the garbage of the White House and we're

[03:38] going to be back in charge of this

[03:48] country and everybody your work is

[03:50] paying off but tonight is not your

[03:52] contribution for the election the

[03:54] Democrats are not just going to roll

[03:55] over and hand us back this beloved State

[03:59] this is our home and our home these last

[04:02] couple election Cycles I I have a pit in

[04:05] my stomach still from 2020 are you with

[04:07] me I have I I feel sick from what has

[04:10] happened in

[04:11] 2022 and you guys have stepped up but

[04:14] we're not there yet you see in 2020 we

[04:17] were down a couple points at this time

[04:18] in early voting as of today we are

[04:20] beating the Democrats by eight points in

[04:22] early voting eight points and we have a

[04:25] lot of work yet to do this weekend must

[04:29] be a weekend where you go completely

[04:32] nuts where you go knock on every

[04:34] neighbor's door where you download the

[04:36] Turning Point action app and you canvas

[04:37] your neighborhood you find every low

[04:39] propensity voter imaginable I'm curious

[04:42] how many of you already voted raise your

[04:43] hand if you voted that's a lot of hands

[04:46] and if you have already voted you need

[04:48] to go find two or three or four or five

[04:50] or six other people your job and your

[04:52] duty and your task is not done this

[04:55] state is going to determine the future

[04:58] of the United States of America America

[05:00] and you look at the issue set in front

[05:02] of us Arizona has been a victim of every

[05:07] failed policy by KLA Harris and Joe

[05:10] Biden open borders record inflation When

[05:13] Donald Trump was President you could buy

[05:15] a home in Phoenix Arizona if you earned

[05:18] $75,000 a year now it requires

[05:21] $135,000 a year to purchase a home

[05:24] Justin Phoenix Arizona not to mention

[05:26] the millions of people coming across the

[05:28] southern border and you look at what

[05:30] Donald Trump will do you know they KLA

[05:32] Harris they asked the question what are

[05:33] you going to do for the economy she says

[05:34] well you know I was raised in a middle

[05:36] class family okay we got

[05:38] that and by the way Ju Just so we're

[05:40] setting the record straight Donald Trump

[05:43] has worked longer at McDonald's than

[05:45] kamla Harris ever has just just for the

[05:51] record on day one Donald Trump no tax on

[05:56] tips no tax on overtime no tax on social

[05:59] security drill baby drill secure the

[06:02] Border end World War II and know men in

[06:06] women's sports and that's just day one

[06:09] everybody that's just day

[06:15] one they are not just going to hand over

[06:18] the country to you because we have big

[06:20] crowds and we're doing well in early

[06:22] voting these next couple of days I do

[06:25] not want to see a spirit of Cockiness or

[06:27] confidence I want you to rewatch The

[06:29] photos on your iPhone and go back and

[06:32] watch what happened when they called

[06:33] Arizona 90 minutes after polls closed do

[06:36] you remember that I want you to

[06:39] recreate the anger that you felt I want

[06:42] you to recreate that pit of the stomach

[06:44] those of you that lived here your whole

[06:45] life and you thought this state would

[06:46] never ever ever send its votes to a

[06:49] Democrat as president and no I I I to

[06:53] I'm right there with you and so the the

[06:55] essence is this though is that we can

[06:58] all do more to make sure that will never

[07:00] happen again and in the coming days that

[07:02] will be determined here is the fact

[07:04] there are hundreds of thousands of trump

[07:07] supporters right now in the valley that

[07:09] have received mail and ballots that have

[07:10] not yet submitted them we need to find

[07:12] those people and get them in the system

[07:14] there are hundreds of thousands of trump

[07:16] supporters that may or may not show up

[07:19] these are plumbers electricians and

[07:20] welders these are people that we love

[07:22] and that we cherish might say oh my vote

[07:25] won't matter you you need to convince

[07:27] them to go to the polls and get get

[07:29] their vote in and bring two friends with

[07:31] them you see what they're doing the

[07:33] Democrats are counting on is the only

[07:35] way that they're able to maintain with

[07:36] power is if we stay at home and we do

[07:39] not turn out in record numbers and this

[07:41] is a realignment that we are living

[07:43] through in real time as you know I'm

[07:45] seeing it firsthand we just completed

[07:47] today our 25th campus stop in support of

[07:52] Donald Trump 25 and I go to college

[07:55] campuses so you don't have to but I'll

[07:57] tell you there is something happening on

[07:58] these campuses

[08:00] we can't find rooms big enough to fit

[08:02] all the students that want to attend our

[08:04] campus events and I am happy to

[08:07] report that young men are the most

[08:10] conservative that they have been in 50

[08:13] Years everybody in 50

[08:19] years the table is set we outnumber them

[08:23] we have more support but do we have more

[08:27] votes the question is we have to turn

[08:29] our support into votes and that is where

[08:31] the grittiness comes in where this

[08:33] weekend instead of just sitting around

[08:34] watching football come to one of our

[08:36] super Chase events that we have coming

[08:38] across all across the valley go knock on

[08:40] Five Doors go make yourself an active

[08:42] participant say oh Charlie you know what

[08:45] does that mean let me just demonstrate

[08:47] very easy step one wear the Maga hat

[08:50] step two go into a Denise and people

[08:52] compliment it and say have you voted

[08:53] have you voted have you voted have you

[08:55] voted be everybody we need to flood the

[08:57] Zone with public support of Donald Trump

[08:59] in this the state and get every last

[09:01] voter out to the polls every last one

[09:04] and I will close with

[09:07] this I was raised in

[09:11] Chicago but this is my

[09:15] home and I love this state this is the

[09:18] best place in America and I could live

[09:20] anywhere I want I live here for a reason

[09:22] no one asks where you went to college I

[09:24] wouldn't be able to tell them cuz I

[09:25] didn't go to college no one no one here

[09:27] cares who your parents are Arizona is

[09:30] what America should be it's how do you

[09:32] act what is your character and what do

[09:34] you do this is the best the country has

[09:36] to offer this

[09:38] state state 48 is a state that loves

[09:41] Liberty it's a state that loves Freedom

[09:43] it's a state that cherishes the founding

[09:46] ideals of this nation I moved here for a

[09:48] reason and I believe we are all here for

[09:51] God's purpose to liberate this state

[09:54] from Democrat control and we'll all see

[09:56] it on CNN an election night if we do the

[09:58] work you can now project the 11

[10:00] electoral votes of Arizona to Donald J

[10:03] Trump get to work everybody let's win

[10:05] this thing
